One of the tastiest authentic Indian food restaurants in England. We don't go anywhere else.

Excellent for meat eaters - you've can't go to The Regency and not get the chicken wings or lamb chops.
Book a table in advance as the queues since their refurbishment has greatly increased. Expect an hour's wait for a walk in table. The garlic mogo is in a league of its own and the mushkaki is lovely.
Only dish I liked was the byriani. Can name at least 10 other restaurants that have better food. Although I could not name it the Entire menu tasted of ONE particular seasoning. It was impossible to distinguish between dishes, meat and vegetarian alike. Coupled with the fact that you are given an exit time for your table as you arrive I cannot say this was an enjoyable experience and cannot recommend it to anyone else.
Best Indian in London..... By far! Amazing food and service in a relaxed atmosphere!
This place is a delight. Fantastic Indian cuisine meshed within a converted pub. Service is impeccable, while they have a good choice of food and spice levels to suit all palates. The only undesirable is outside the restaurant where you probably want your car close by for a quick escape- some strange looking people lurk around or at least this was my experience- I've only been here the once and perhaps it isn't always like this. Top marks to the Regency club for being a top curry house.
Indian bar/restaurant in close vicinity to Queensbury station, parking can prove to be tricky so allow enough time to find a spot and prepared to walk a few minutes.
Food is nice, the starters are brilliant but the main course doesn't quite live up to expectations. Plenty of choice for vegetarians or non vegetarians, I do like the mogo and they do a paneer wrap which is really nice.
The only issue with Regency can be the service, the staff always rush you and want you out asap. The basic customer service and etiquette is missing, let people finish their food without rushing them to order mains etc..
Best indian restaurant by far, we travel 80 miles once a month for their deliciuos dishes,
Service is 10/10 always has been.. after the refurb the kitchen is working alot faster..food comes out within minutes..
Keep it up guys all the best
Nice service, flavourful dishes, reasonable prices.
Always busy but can see why, the food here is delicious.
One of the best Indian restaurant s in London. Great customer service
2years ago I would rated this place 5stars.. now I would say prices are bit too much and food quality is not good. Mains are not great but starters and mixed grill are good. Mogo chips, tawa lamb and Methi chicken are very good. Avoid paneer tikka (worst) and take chilli paneer instead (average)
The food was very good however the service was terrible! Whatever happened to good Customer service? This place has turned into a pizza hut.
Highly recommend kheema special with egg and tandoori chicken wings. V spicy
Travelled along way to find the restaurant in disarray. There were issues in the kitchen that meant they could not serve food. They made us wait 30 mins before telling us this, and some of the waiters had a lot of attitude (probably just stressed out because of the amount of complaints). Very disappointing. I have heard good things about the food though, so maybe I will go back and be able to give a better review.
Excellent east African/Indian food. Great service! Garlic mogo is a must!
Amazing food & drinks plus on top of that the best service staff ever experienced...
Very good. Am regular at this place. They need to have more in vegetarian dishes. Especially starters like Batata wada, spicy corn on cob and methi gota. Otherwise can't fault this place anyway. Perfect service and perfectly couryeous staff.
Awesome food, decent prices. Best Indian food in a 5 mile radius!
Mild spicy food and good place for get together with friends
Been here a few times and it's always been for a birthday or a special occasion.
Food is lovely. Mixed grills are nice. Meat is not over done and it's not chewy. The quality is consistent.
Last time I came here it was for a birthday celebration and to celebrate such a momentous occasion the leg of lamb was ordered which requires 24 hours notice.
Oh my, the lamb was really good. Definitely worth it. There was 12 of us that shared the lamb but we did order a lot of starters.
It's also a great place to go watch the match with your mates although if you haven't booked anything you might have to stand when its busy.
My Mrs's favourite dishe is the chilli paneer.
My favourites are the red meats as they are soft and flavoured just perfectly.
If you haven't been and you're into Indian cuisine I would highly recommend it.
Staple food for any Indian / kenyan grilled meat fan!
Very unprofessional. Had a very bad experience. I called Regency club to book a table for today. I requested the lady whose name was Shama I think to book a table for today Monday 22nd July for 4 people around 7:30pm.
After giving her all my details I told her that one of my friends has recommended the place for good food. I told her that it is my wife's birthday. Also told her that there are 3 adults and 1 child. She took all details and confirmed the booking. When we reached there the host asked me for my name and I gave him and he told me that there was no booking by that name. He asked for the booking confirmation which was sent to me. When I opened the booking the lady had confirmed the booking for Wednesday 24th July instead of today. I was also told that children are not allowed. I was shocked as this was not mentioned when I did booking. I was going to central London for dinner but one of my friends recommended this place and said you must go. They ruined my day and my wife's birthday.
I will never ever visit this place again. Very unprofessional people.
Spoiled my whole evening.
Great food of the East African Asian kind. Hard to get s table
Always great food and always have to wait for a table
Heard a lot about this restaurant/bar so expectations were high to begin with. Well happy to say that it did not disappoint, went for lunch and feel that I have eaten enough for a week, wings were great along with lamb which was full of favour and tender, didn't get to try the mains as ordered a second round of starters.
Best Indian in London. The lamb biryanis, chicken wings, lamp chops and chicken makhani - excellent and so delicious.
Tasty food served in cramped surroundings. Food orders can get mixed up & if ordered egg bhurji , make sure that there are no egg shells left inside the preparation by kitchen staff! Parking can be a problem.
Excellent as always! The food here is amazing and full of flavour. The prices are reasonable too. The restaurant has taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that social distancing is in place. There is hand sanitiser available for customers upon their arrival and temperatures are checked. Tables are thoroughly cleaned and all waiters wore masks and gloves. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The Regency is certainly my favourite Indian restaurant (and I am of Indian heritage).
heard alot about this place
very clean and lively
atmosphere was nice
but the food was not as great or lived upto the reputation everyone is going on about .
would i go again i doubt it , it isnt worth my effort.
but i took a friend for his birthday he enjoyed it so thats what counted
but i do need to point out that the bhindi in batter was an awful dish ,tasteless no seasoning and the methi lamb had no methi in it
The food was delicious. one of the best Indian food in London. however the place is extremely busy. waiting time is mad. Takeaway available as well.
overall isn't the excellent place as customer service seems to decline due the busy environment.
Cracking atmos. Great food. Very flavourful. Reasonable price.
It's super busy, but after eating the food you'll realise why, well worth waiting for and the service is second to none, but definitely book in advance to avoid any chance of disappointment!
Nice food, nice place, shame they don't allowed children. Most annoying thing is the waiters how don't seem to understand orders and get it wrong every time. Theres also one who likes to hover around you to get you off the table quickly. Why? We are there spending our money and should be allowed to sit there as long as we want as long as we are buying!!
Amazing Indian restaurant and pub. Well worth the visit (the take out is also amazing)
Food here is always banging. Save your money and head to this place great food great venue open kitchen so you see the chefs working. Just a overall great experience
Good local pub. Heard food great for meats. Live sports.
Indian food gets no better than this - been going here for over 20 years and the food has always been consistent. leg of lamb (pre-order) recommended!
Really hard to get a table on key nights which says a lot about this place that kinda started the whole Indian private members club trend in London, food is great, fast, delicious and the service is almost instantaneous. Superb.
Awesome food every time, book early and expect to get nudged out once you've eaten!!
great place we normally go in for a dinner after work, great place and great food.
The very best of authentic Indian food, an amazing menu you will not find better Indian cuisine anywhere
Too busy I would question how quick our starter came - within 5min which isn't possible for there people
The food is amazing. This place is always busy. All the staff are so polite and friendly.
Always rushed by Pankaj to finish our meals. Wouldn't recommend this place to any one.
Had the best evening celebrating my 30th birthday here tonight! Its one of my favourite restaurants in london so i thought perfect place for my birthday meal. Staff as always very attentive, friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to make my night special and even helped with a little photoshoot!! Haha! Food is absolutely delicious wheather you can handle your spice or like something milder they have options for all. Honestly i cant even tell you my favourite dish because everything is so lovely (but the garlic mogo is soooo addictive!!). Also the staff are very on top of keeping things safe and clean with temperature checks and constant cleaning the table when customers leave so you feel you are in a safe environment.x.
Always the best Indian food. Good service from Rahul.
Great food, Friday and Saturday nights are busy. Best to reserve a table
Dont be put off by the decor, this place is a true gem
