The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood yet it is very accessible to dining options, cafes, and shops. One basically just has to walk out the door to experience Venice. I m glad we stayed in Cannaregio because it is close enough to the big tourist attractions yet far from the loud crowds. The host was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. They even arranged for a hired water taxi for our departure (which I would recommend over the vaporetto. It s twice as expensive but ten times the comfort.

I have used the Red House company twice now and they have been incredible both times. Someone meets you from the nearest water taxi/bus rank to walk you to the apartment. The apartment we stayed in (Ca'Dorina) was in a fabulous location- in a quiet area but so close to the busy areas, as well as a small supermarket and many bars and resturants. It was well equipped with what we needed and was clean and modern with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They answered emails promptly, allowed us a slightly later check out and also helped organize a water taxi to get back to the airport. I would not hesitate to book with them again. I must also add, if you have a late flight home there is a self luggage storage shop in Cannaregio, which made our last day much easier.
