We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful new hotel situated in a stunning valley with prime proximity to the beaches and restaurants of Laguna Beach. The rooms are furnished as though out of a Pottery Barn catalog, everything is absurdly comfortable. The service could not be better, from check-in to check-out, the staff was nothing but friendly and attentive - going well above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. Loved our cocktail drinks and the cookies at Ben's Pantry too! We would definitely return to the Ranch!

This is a fantastic resort if you are looking for a unique location that truly embraces the natural beauty of its surroundings. The rooms are well appointed and speak to the local culture. The staff is helpful and friendly. You are in a stunning canyon with a majesric, clean, shimmering ocean a short walk away.
This hotel does a great job of offering fantastic complimentary amenities in an effortlessly luxurious setting.

Second time at The Ranch. One gorgeous place in Laguna Beach! I came today to play golf with friends. The weather was best and we teed up at 10am. It wasn't a very busy day and actually perfect because we all felt relaxed in playing because we didn't feel rushed by other players. Majority of players walked the course.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Very good experience here and highly recommended.

We will definitely be coming back again! My husband and I are from North Orange County and decided to do a quick getaway and The Ranch was perfect. It felt like we were far from home. The food was incredible and we loved that we had access to the beach.

We had a great stay for three nights. The rooms and amenities are all very modern stylish and clean. The restaurant was one of the highlights with fresh inventive food. Great happy hour on the patio with the fire pits and live music also.

Over from the U.K. and having a great family holiday in California. We are staying at the Ranch and love it here. Great welcome and service, lovely surroundings and looking forward to exploring the area, playing 9 holes and visiting local restaurants. The problem is that I can t get into the harvest restaurant and have just finished some Zpizza s in our room when i really fancied a walk up to the Harvest, a drink on the veranda and a decent meal. No reservations available at the Harvest for Saturday night either. So I am treating this as an opportunity to try the local restaurants. If you do want to stay and eat at the Ranch I suggest you book at the restaurant first and then the hotel if they have a table for you otherwise zpizza are great and deliver to your room.

Beautiful secluded location. Lovely staff and service. Harvest Restaurant has an excellent brunch. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful stay here. It was serene and relaxing. I was a tad bit disappointed that there was no soaking tub in the room and that the room was a bit smaller than what I would have imagined for the price. I thought while everyone was very nice, there could have been a little bit extra attention to detail to go out of their way to please guests (remembering names, birthdays, etc.).

I ll start with the good. Reception staff were friendly and the location is beautiful.
The Negatives: Our room had twin sinks, one of which had poor drain flow and could not be used. The microwave was on a high shelf and when I went to open it, it tipped toward me as it was missing a front leg. Definitely a safety hazard. For $358/night, I would expect the room to not only be clean but also properly maintained.
Customer Service: We were attending a wedding with an outdoor dinner on the patio. We were seated at the end of the long head table with our backs facing the open space. It was very chilly that evening without a heater near where we were sitting. I asked for a heater and was told I could have the staff member s jacket...not what I wanted. I was not the only person in our area who was cold. Never received a heater which made for an uncomfortable experience with cold food.
Checkout: I had to stop by the front desk to ask for our invoice - no electronic folio. Two days after checking out our credit card still did not show the correct postings. I completed their survey with our concerns and afterward our credit card was posted with the correct charges. I have never received any communication from the resort regarding my concerns. Not what I consider quality customer service. Waited four days for some type of an apology before
writing this review.

Addendum: Five days after we checked out I was contacted by the resort. They apologized and offered a compensation but more importantly, I was assured he understood how important customer service is in making all guests comfortable when attending a special event at their venue. I hope in the future management works with their staff to anticipate and respond to guests needs.

Great place to relax. Walk to the beach or simply open the patio doors looking over the golf course and hills beyond... And breathe in deeply. This is a place where you can wake up and smell much more than just the coffee.. Ahhhhh delicious.

Amazing experience overall. The location is gorgeous and the rooms are well maintained. The only thing I would say is that the "heated" pool is a bit too cold and had our Toddler shivering when she jumped in. But that's no big deal. We will definitely be back!

Terrible service! Don t stay here, especially now during COVID. We arrived for our 3- night stay and everything- restaurant, golf and the massages were completely booked for the entire weekend. No spaces reserved for hotel guests because it s all open to the public. What s the point then if staying at a resort? We couldn t even get a seat at the outdoor patio. Full at 5:00pm. To top it off, the Ranch Hand put our luggage in the wrong room, so we had nothing, including my purse for 2 hrs... so missed dinner and sat in our room since there was nowhere to even sit... Finally, we just decided to leave. No get away weekend for us. I mean what we re we getting for $500 a night? A bed?

Best resort in Laguna! The workers were nice and they upgraded us to a master suite! The room is HUGE! It even had a dining area. It was close to the beach, and there was deer EVERYWHERE! I love deer, so this was a magical experience for me. I really liked the outside vibes where the resort rooms were. This resort is perfect. No cons. I recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful facility. Tranquil, upscale, relaxing. Treated to a night at the Ranch for my birthday. The canyon cottage room is the perfect size, wonderfully decorated and pkysh. Great shower, heated floors, good quality fixtures. The grounds are well manicured. Valet staff is super friendly, Heath was fantastic.

Where to start. The five-star Mega friendly staff. The cleanliness of the rooms, the comfort of the rooms, the ease of check-in, the greatest concierge, a wonderful bar staff, amazing view, the most impeccably clean and well maintained grounds. Just a few of the reasons why the ranch at Laguna Beach receives a well-deserved five stars. My Mainstay when traveling the West Coast of the United States of America. Thank you staff of the ranch at Laguna Beach.

Exceptionally beautiful and well-kept resort. Really enjoyed the serene environment, food, service, and rooms. Beds were a bit more firm than my liking but this was made up for by the heavenly shower in our room. Didn't get to try to pool due to the cooling weather, but really enjoyed being walking distance to a gorgeous beach and beautiful parks and trails nearby.

While *most* resort guests adhered to the CA statewide order to wear masks while in public, there were a considerable amount of visitors (unsure whether resort guests or the general public) that did not consistently wear masks while on the premise. I alerted resort staff to this. While there are signs saying to wear masks, this was not openly enforced by resort staff. This not only made me uncomfortable, but was a core reason I chose to stay at this resort as I thought they'd be adhering to protocols to keep guests and staff safe and socially distanced. Would recommend that the staff do more to enforce this for everyone on premise, else if you are visiting be prepared to see folks not adhering to this 100%. Giving 4 stars because of this experience specific to COVID.

As for the food, it's pretty good. If you're not familiar with Senegalese cuisine, take a look at the menu in advance. Simple meat, rice and veggie dishes, many of which are spiced. One can never go wrong with black beans and plantains.

Service was very poor and slow. We asked the waiter what type of crab they use in one of their salads and his and answer was "I don't know. The stringy type, but I can ask my manager." He never did so we ordered the burger. Great location, but over priced for the quality and service.

This is a nice patio and restaurant just nestled in the valley across from the ocean. The views of the hills are nice (no ocean view). They have a big patio that also overlooks the golf course. The patio also has corn hole, a putting game and bocce ball. They have live music on the weekends. The restaurant looks nice, but I didn't eat there. This is a fun happy hour stop, and the service/staff were all very friendly.

First off, it was a beautiful day. We were there for my wife's Aunts wedding reception. The staff was very courteous and kind. Everyone spoke with a warm smile. The lunch we had there was delicious. I had the burger cooked to order and it tasted delicious. The wife had a club sandwhich which was good. My 3 year old son had a kids hotdog. It fell on the floor but the waiter was quick to have a replacement brought out at no charge. We then went down to the swimming pool which was perfect for the warm weather. Everyone was welcoming of the kids playing. All in all, a great place for food, fun and relaxation. I'm going to plan our anniversary there next year.

We had a lovely stay at the Ranch at Laguna Beach. The rooms where spacious, extremely clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff where all polite and extremely helpful. There was great live music on the deck over looking the valley, once back in our room everything was extremely peaceful. The deck overlooking the valley had a great buzzy atmosphere- ideal for a cocktail or coffee. The beach is just opposite the Ranch. Fantastic place- we were happy we found this delightful accommodation.

We had been waiting for the restaurant to open to go spend a weekend at the The Ranch and we're glad we did not wait any longer. When you pull in the canyon past the 9 door Chevrolet Wagon, you think cruising the coast looking for great waves and a cove. As you drive along the creek toward the beautifully appointed rooms the canyon unfolds. The rooms feature incredible decor and luxurious beds in a peaceful atmosphere. The food on the deck is terrific as you people watch, enjoy the quiet serenity of the canyon and dine. Try the Chicken and Waffle's-amazing!
Even more impressive meeting the owner - Mark Christy and Leticia. Their shared vision is coming to fruition. Check it out!

Beautiful location nestled in the canyon of Laguna. The staff was very helpful and they all had attitudes. We ate at the Harvest. The service was fantastic and our food was delicious. Our overall stay was 5 stars. My only negative comment is the WIFI is extremely spotty and unreliable.

The customer service was amazing at the Sycamore Spa and I loved my deep tissue massage and facial. My back was killing me and Kathy was amazing my pain was gone afterwards. The service was excellent in The Harvest, the spa, and room service. I loved the relaxing scenery. The only thing I didn't like was the coyotes howling at 5am they woke me up. I know this is their home but it was scary. I thought they were outside my room. I would recommend soundproofing rooms I could hear my neighbors early in the morning and slamming door when I was trying to sleep.

This is an upper mid-scale hotel at luxury hotel prices. The best thing about this hotel is the high design quality of the rooms, which have an upscale beach theme. But they're set in unattractive motel-style rows that have little separation or seclusion from the crowds, cars, and one another. The hotel does not offer evening turn-down service, a mini-bar, or excellent service, all which should come standard at this market tier. And there is little to no cell phone service on the property. A nice place, but not competitive for its positioning.

Beautiful hidden location in Laguna Beach, quiet spot with a small coffee bar and great restaurant with golf course views. Recently renovated with excellent staff. A bit expensive to stay overnight but they have many events throughout the year to experience the property! Would recommend!

This was one of our favorite weekend experiences. The Ranch is a true hidden Gem! Rooms are big, clean, very nice and quiet. I am a light sleeper and it's the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. The resort is very relaxing and they provide many games and options for entertainment. Not to mention the quality of service. BEST SERVICE EVER! and I've traveled many places around the world.... Highly recommend!

Great hotel for relaxing. The o. Site restaurant is great, rooms are clean and nice, spa is worderful. The only downside is the cost. It's pretty expensive but here you so get what you pay for.

A beautiful and peaceful retreat tucked inside of the coastal hillside of Laguna. It has the feel of an upscale cottage resort in the mountains but less than a mile from the beach. The rooms are spacious and wonderfully designed. There is a restaurant and a cafe, both with beautiful views of the mountainside and gold course. The restaurant (Harvest) has a menu of upscale Contemporary American cuisine featuring fresh produce from the on-site garden. The cafe (Ben's Pantry) has espresso drinks, pastries, beer, wine, cocktails and gourmet food dishes. There is a daily happy hour as well at Ben's Pantry with $10 food items like steak skewers, chile lime chicken quesadilla, charcuterie plate, burger and fries, and more.
The pool is heated year-round. The fitness room can be accessed 24 hours and has all the basic machines and resistance equipment. I was very well taken care of here and certainly prefer this place to stay over many of the beach hotels for the amenities, the quality of the rooms and the quaintness.
