We really enjoyed seeing Mitski perform here. Just the right size, crowd was great, sound and lighting were perfect, and if you are offered the $10 VIP upgrade, take it. We got a chance to sit down, hang out, and have easy access to cocktails between the opening act and headliner. Worth every penny.
Great sound, drinks, comfortable seats(despite what others have posted!)
This place is pretty cool. It s not very big but they have all different kinds of performers. I ve been multiple times over the years to see different bands and musicians. We recently went to watch The Fab Four, the experience was awesome. We literally have no complaints.
I just heard that you have been purchased by the Philharmonic. I am very excited about this because my hope is that you will improve the seating. I made a vow that I would never go there again, as the seating was so torturous I just couldn't stand it. I am not a particularly heavy person. I measured the seats and they were so narrow, it was horrible. The fusions were pressed and worn out. I just couldn't get comfortable. I noticed that the bar was full of a lot of choices, but the non alcoholic drinks were few. Would have been nice to have had a starbucks bottled cold drink. Maybe the point is to get people drunk enough to not notice the uncomfortable "folding chairs" gouging into their buts. Please make the seating better.
Fantastic venue. Great sound. Been here for several shows. My personal favorite venue in Orlando.

You're entering at your own risk. It may sound like a wonderful place to visit and I'm sure it is but there's a huge fault:
There's no security here other than someone who checks your bag. No metal detectors. The security guards aren't even armed. Gunman came in with two guns, 9 magazines, and a hunting knife. I'd rather hear on the news "gunman attempts to enter before you exit concert" rather than "Christina Grimmie tragically slain at concert" just bs. I don't think I'll ever be able to go there without feeling sick to my stomache.. Its just sad. A year later and I still can't believe it. You know famous people perform there. After all the shootings, why would there nOt be metal detectors.? This could have been prevented. I just don't understand. She didn't deserve this..at all. Rest in peace Christina. (CHECK OUT HER NEW ALBUM "ALL IS VANITY" ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the small venue. We've seen some great shows here.
This is where Christina Grimmie died... horrible security. Hope it's improved since then.
staff was super nice place was very clean drinks were reasonably price
Good venue for musical performances. Sound fills the room. Easy to get to and find parking.
Great venue private but great sound ! DRINKS ARE HEAVY HANDED
Brian Kilmede was amazing, especially because the projection of his laptop went bad and it took over 20 minutes to get a portable screen setup, but he just kept on going without media support! I would say the new (old) seating is an improvement over the old theater rocking seats.
Great music venue. Nothing special but we'll laid out and an easy concert experience
Way cool. The plaza is a great place to catch a show. Sound is status quo & seating is adequate. Lots of GROOVY places to eat really close as well. What else do you need?
Another wonderful concert seen here. A+ mid-sized venue. People worked there are great!
There is something so special about this place...go there for a concert and you will understand!
Went for a show, not happy with the lack of a place to step out during intermission. It was very hot inside. Seats on the main floor were folding chairs.
Classic Orlando venue. Seated. Not a bad seat in the house. Quick bar service.
This is an awesome and chill, but not a huge place. This is great for many types of artists and concerts, especially those rising in fame.
It's in a great location too!
The venue is ridiculous for the price of the tickets. Only 4 bathroom stall, poor air A/C circulation. A woman fainted in the bathroom because of it (Feb 6) other people I was with needed to go outside because of how hot it was in there. The slanted, general standing floor is not forgiving on the feet and let's not tall about the over priced drinks. The staff was polite but they don't advise people there's no reentry BEFORE they walk out of the venue. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Horrible "service fee" of $16.92. Cannot purchase tickets at box office early enough to avoid fee. I was willing to pay extra for a good seat. I am not willing to pay $17 for a website automation system that I could program myself in 1 month. And I'm offended there is no other ticket purchasing choice to avoid that fee. Canceled order!!
In addition to this, the terms of sale you are forced to accept are horribly invasive. No refunds, no exchanges, times subject to change with no options or refunds. They can basically put your show at any day/time and legally they owe you nothing. Your data is disclosed to third parties and Pandora without your choice. You must accept to see show. Your IP, mobile device identifiers, search terms on previous sites, email address, your exact location, your social media profile likes and shares, public profile information, etc. These can be used for any purpose, and you do not have an option to decline use and still purchase.
You hipster herders need to wake up and respect your clientele in this day and age. Its not an acceptable excuse to say that some other venues do this. You make enough money on the tickets and insane concession prices already. Ditch the exclusive rights contract with Ticket Sly and offer genuine customer service.
We really enjoyed this place..but if you have to wait outside in line..There is no bathroom. You'll have to leave ..go somewhere else and come back. Until they let people in.
My first time going to The Plaza. Very big and spacious. They have a balcony to sit down in. There's free parking available right in front of the venue. The staff were accommodating and attentive. During all the performances it wasn't hot inside. I had a great time.
An intimate theater. The kind that rarely exists anymore. Best place to see a show in decades. Steve Vai was playing for us. Not a huge crowd of ticket holders. I'll definitely be back for more.
I've never been to this venue and I will never go to this venue. Their incompetent security allowed a man through their doors with multiple handguns, ammo, and knives, enabling him to gun down and murder one of the preforming artists, Christina Grimmie. After this event I'd never feel safe going to this venue. It disgusts me that they could be so stupid to let that happen. There is no logical reason for someone to be let into a venue with weapons unless that venue is working hand in hand to end the artists life. The actions of this venue have been despicable.
This place is a nightmare in so many ways. A friend of mine bought me tickets for my birthday, and Plaza was the venue. Not only did we have issues with the tickets for months (had to call on 5+ occasions to add info to even get them according to them) only for the staff to still deny us the tickets in the entrance. We had to give them the friends name for them to release the tickets, despite them being signed there in our names.
We sit down, the venue itself is decent, but after a while we were approached by a staff member followed by 2 people. He is rude, asking what seat numbers we have, we give him the tickets to show for it, and it turns out they've double booked our seats! Up until that point we are treated as if we've done something wrong, yet we didn't even get an apology.
The performance was amazing, but the people running the audio had no idea what they were doing. We could barely hear half of it because it was just that loud. I am most certainly not going here again, no matter what artist shows up there.
I have been trying to contact this venue for over six months via email and haven't received a single response. Completely unprofessional.
love the free parking, the venue is pretty spacious, decent shows. the chairs get a bit uncomfortable after about two hours, so plan your shows accordingly.
Twice went to see a concert and twice the act canceled. The second time the act wasnt even there, but they pretended he was until the last minute so they could bilk people with overpriced drinks. Truly unprofessional.
Also either they are stingy on the ac bill or the system is as old as the building. Super hot in there.
It's not the fanciest place, but it feels at home with friendly staff and security. Will come back to see more shows here!
Great venue for live music. Only reason for 4 stars is for the seats. Very pricey for padded folding chairs. other than that this place is great. It doesn't matter what seat you have you still have a great view of the stage.
Nice venue, typical alcohol prices and fair sound system. Parking is easy, staff is super friendly and kept clean. Will attend more events here in the future.
Small venue great for getting close to performance. Good ambiance
Venue was very smokey. Other than that, it was a great experience.
I love this place, close to home, great atmosphere with a friendly staff great food and live entertainment.

We spend a lot of time at music venues both in Orlando, and around the world. Everything from large, opulent & historic concert halls, to hole in the wall spots for local bands.
This is probably my least favorite venue of the past 3 years. FAR too hot inside with the number of people allowed in. There was a visible haze due to the moisture. Having only one set of doors open into the theater area creates numerous issues with traffic flow. There is no rhyme or reason to the lines for drinks, meaning that people are forced to fight their way back or across the other lines, spilling drinks and screwing up the queues as they go.
Better process control, some strategic changes, and an overhaul of the cooling system are required to bring this place up to passable.
My first time visiting . Great Band! Nice place. Employees were friendly and helpful.
This venue could use some work. Security to enter was handled poorly. My 70 year old mother who didn't want to drink was forced to have BOTH hands stamped with "non-drinking" stamps since she didn't want to pull out her ID. 70... The chairs were far to crammed together and the sound system wasn't caliberated for the hall or perhaps for the performance we watched . The bartender was friendly and made a nice mixed drink. Overall the venue felt run down but hopefully they are providing local artists with an affordable venue to produce their shows.
#Who'sBad Was a Tribute Band for Michael Jackson they were awesome. We had a great time esp. My little Michael Jackson who danced on stage with him. He was so good and he's only 5 yr old.
Fairly nice room, and was probably state of the art at one time. I think it could use some updates.
Great Acoustics...best to pre purchase tickets to get good seating
It was so incredibly hot! The band was even complaining about the heat, and had to alternate going off stage to wipe down during the performance. I was impressed by Royal Blood who actually stuck it out for the performance, but the Plaza was not a good venue.
Ive always loved the Plaza, they went above and beyond yet again today for something they didnt have too. Thats why I do business with only companies like that. As far as recent incidents, I never blame the place, person or location for what a mad man or terrorist does. AND, I wont let the enemy keep me from going either, I just wont allow this world to shake me like that. Thanks Plaza for all great memories and future ones!
Great little place to attend shows. If you are seeking a venue where you want to have that more of an intimate feeling with the band or performer this is the venue. Venue was renovated 6 or 8 months ago. One of the biggest improvements was a more efficient bar.
It's a small theater with a bar in the lobby, but they had no snacks or food of any kind. I had purchased seats in "orchestra" section through Groupon, they emailed me day of show and said my seats were no longer available and I was upgraded to the balcony. Not sure if this was an upgrade, until we saw the seats down on the floor we're folding chairs and we actually had comfortable padded theater seats up top that had drink holders in the arm rests. The show we went to see was highly interactive, so my date was super happy to be up out of that possibility of being picked to go up on stage. I, on the other hand, am super social and would have loved to be closer to the stage as my original tickets were.
Show was sold out, so I'm sure that's why Groupon tickets were moved.
Great venue! Down falls are the tiny seats and the staff being unclear about this photo policy. They tell you no flash photography, but they walked around yelling at anyone with a phone out.. just tell people NO PHOTOS. Other than that it's a great spot!
Intimate theater...no bad seats. Bar service quick and friendly.
Very cool midsized venue. I didn't try any of the drinks, so I can't speak on that, but the location is nice and there's plenty of parking. Getting in and out is simple. I was there for the Schmoedown, it was a blast.
Sound quality is great. Have been to three shows there so far and have enjoyed every one.
Saw Todd Rungren had the best cocktail we've ever had at a concert love this place
It was a little hot with all the smoke machines but other than that we saw a great concert.
Love the improvements! Much better facility now than before 're-furbishing'. Very courteous security staff. Drinks and ticket surcharges a bit high- but that's true in most Orlando venues.
She's a historic venue, of the few left in this town.
I love that this theater has been around since I was a little kid in the '70s. Of course, it was a movie theater then, and I miss the old rocking chair seats, but it is nice to see our city somewhat preserve a historic venue and try to repurpose it. It's great to have a small- to medium-sized venue nestled along edge of a couple old neighborhoods (the unique and quirky Milk District and Colonialtown South). It gives this venue the feeling of being part of the neighborhood and more personal than most. I love that I've seen everything from obscure bands to top-notch comedians to the Orlando Philharmonic at this venue. Hope it survives and thrives for many more decades.
It's really just the best venue. Sound is great. Lots of bars. Room to breathe. And, wherever you stand is a great view. Needs more bathrooms though.
Great venue to watch anything, very new and updated
This is the place where our baby died
#ripChristinaGrimmie
Acoustics are terrible. I will never pay to see a show here again. Is it an old grocery store?
This is the perfect place to watch a bangin' show. The stage is set like an amphitheater with a sloped floor and there are also seats upstairs for those who pay.
I love this concert venue. The sound is always on point.
This is a great venue for live music. The acoustics are good and it is fairly small and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. We saw Jesse Cook and band there tonight and they were amazing.
Say Robert Cray Band, awesome performance. The venue was great regarding acoustics, sound system, easy parking, access, lobby, bars. A little slice of old Orlando. My new favorite venue
Great location, great ticket prices, great atmosphere!
