From start to finish Caleb and Plant Design Group were just great to work with. Caleb came out and looked at the area that needed work, gave us his thoughts on what could be done, as well as a price estimate, and when he didn t have an answer to one of our questions checked in with one of their landscape designers and got back to me in a very timely fashion with a response. When scheduling the work to be done Caleb made changes in his schedule to accommodate mine. The work was completed and they did a great job at a reasonable price. He was also great with my dogs and gave us some wonderful suggestions for hikes! Highly recommended.

I cannot underscore the extraordinary experience with Plant Design Group. After meeting with several companies locally, I contacted Plant Design because I felt most just didn't quite understand the vision my husband and I had for our landscaping. As an avid fan of Carousel Gardens and the quality of their products, I was certain they would partner with a high caliber landscape design group as well. And indeed, did they!

My experience was 5 star from the beginning. I was contacted 24 hours after my initial request. The associate I spoke with listened to the objectives of our project and budget. She asked thoughtful, inquisitive questions and paired us with a designer who often worked with similarly sized projects.

Caleb was OUTSTANDING!!! He is a talented and knowledgeable designer who truly loves what he does. During our initial meeting, he listened to all of my ideas and immediately offered recommendations and a vision. He succinctly summarized what we spoke of and articulated our design ethos better than I was able to.

He kept us well informed throughout the process and clearly communicated the timeline and next steps. I knew exactly what to expect and when the work would be completed.

The design he proposed was perfect! Exactly what we had been aiming to achieve in our backyard - a quiet, serene place of solitude. He incorporated plants from our property into the design at my request and modified the varieties and made minor tweaks to the spacing of plants with no question, pushback or disagreement. Not the experience I've had with other companies. Caleb is truly focused on customer happiness!!

When installation occured, it was completed quickly, efficiently and with no mess or debris. How does THAT happen when dealing with dirt!? The team was delightful, kind and appreciative.

The results - breathtaking!! My husband and I kept taking breaks from our day to go in the yard and admire the work of the team.

Regarding COVID - the Plant protocol requires everyone to wear masks and maintain distance when outdoors. I was most impressed by the follow up sessions which occurred over Zoom. Caleb shared his screen, we fluidly moved through the designs AND he even had a pinterest board prepared with the plant varieties. It couldn't have been easier!

I could continue on and rave about the experience with Caleb and Plant Design Group. But, I think it would be better if you experienced it yourself. For those seeking a professional, accommodating, customer centric landscape design group - look no further. Plant Design Group is it!!!!

When we decided to invest in landscaping, we had an impossible list of goals....create a safe but equally beautiful and functional space for our child, please an opinionated couple with very different styles, and work within our budget.
We interviewed several different companies before meeting Jonathan, Javan, and Ed from PLANT. They understood our vision and challenges, and created the design of our dreams! Having set a goal of making our University Campus look better than it has in the last 4-years, Plant Design Group partnered with us to make that goal a reality! We enjoyed an open exchange of their expert opinions collaborating with our priority areas which produced amazing results.

We worked with Plant Design Group for a recent backyard renovation. Our designer (Ed) really took the time to understand what we were looking for and was to come up with a great plan for our space. The work looked great and the crew was professional and left a clean and beautiful job.

Competent and kind - I had a water issue in my back yard for years. When it rained pools would form and make mowing of the lawn impossible because of the mud. Consulted with plant and had them grade my back yard. Did an excellent job and have helped make my back yard usable, rather than the swamp it used to be.

We approached Plant Design Group for ideas about how to repair or remake a patio that was installed 20 years ago, and we really had no concept of how we might create a different space to enjoy with family and friends. Javan and Ed first listened to us, and then came back with a concept that was well beyond what we could have imagined on our own. We had a patio...and now we have what feels like a "park", with space dedicated to dining and hanging out around the fire. From beginning to end, the experience was one in which we were told what to expect in terms of pace of work and process. Plant Design built us a beautiful back yard escape. Javan was very professional from the beginning of our patio design and was there overseeing our project until it was completed. Our project included a pergola, attached fire pit area, sitting wall and a rock garden. I am so happy with the way Javan designed the layout so that all the features fit together with such a nice flow. The plantings enhanced all the features and added color and a finish to the project. My wife and I sit out in our haven every day and enjoy the beauty of our backyard paradise. Thank you Javan and the great team for designing and building us such a wonderful addition to our home.

My husband and I moved into our home about a year ago, and the front yard looked like it had been neglected for some time. Outdoor living is important to us, so we were looking for more than just cookie cutter curb appeal - we wanted something unique and inviting, visually interesting (textures, layers, colors), and a yard that would grow into our dream garden over the years. This was also a large investment for us (both mentally and financially), so we needed a company that instilled trust from the outset. On top of this, we wanted a team that would work with us collaboratively over the years as we create our dream home. Needless to say, this was a tall order. After researching companies in both PA and NJ, we felt that PLANT brought a fresh perspective to the landscaping industry in terms of both approach and client service - and this proved to be true. From the first meeting, we knew that Ed Graziano was our guy - he really LISTENED to us as we explained what we wanted (and importantly, what we DIDN'T want!). Keeping both our style and long-term goals in mind, Ed presented an incredibly imaginative yet practical design. We honestly did not know what to expect, and yet somehow, Ed managed to blow our expectations out of the water. We also worked with Javan, who was sensitive to our budget and presented us with options that allowed us to choose where we wanted to put our money now, and where we could expand down the road. The rest of the process, from preparation to execution to finalization, was a pleasure. To say that our front garden has been bringing us endless joy would be an understatement.

With all that said, a picture is worth a thousand words. Our before and after photos speak for themselves! We look forward to working with the PLANT team for years to come, and already cannot wait to see what they have in store for the rest of our yard.

Ed and Javan were fantastic to work with from start to finish. Ed really listened and delivered a design that fit exactly what we were looking for both aesthetically and financially. We couldn t be happier with our new pavilion and fire pit!

It was a pleasure to work with Plant Design Group for the makeover of our front and back yards. Working with us, they came up with a good design for both areas including a beautiful new patio. The construction went very smoothly, especially working in a back yard with difficult access for equipment. The crew were friendly and very competent and cleaned up the area each evening. Final cleanup and equipment removal at the conclusion of the project were well-done. A very satisfying project.

Javan and his crew were wonderful. The garden came out as I had envisioned. They worked tirelessly for 2+ days to complete 3 large raised beds, cut out sod, lay a gravel walk and mulch the beds. I was most impressed with their professionalism and would highly recommend them.

Working with Caleb from PLANT design has been a great experience! He was extremely patient with my many questions during my first planting season in a new home. He offered great suggestions. So far we ve done a spring cleanup and we are so happy with the quality of how it turned out that we are exploring further projects. Highly recommend.

Edited to add: we went ahead and did our patio with Caleb from PLANT design and I am so happy we did. It looks great, and addressed all my issues worrying about leveling and drainage. We got great use out of it already and I can tell the quality work that went in to it. We are very happy with Plant design and would work with them again!

The proposal was given promptly and was fair. Our pavers project was begun at the time scheduled and was completed as quickly as anticipated. PDG worked with us with regard to several changes desired as the work progressed; and the finished project looks better than expected. We recommend PDG.

I worked with Plant three years ago to install a bluestone walkway and landscaping in front of my house. I love that they are design forward without sacrificing quality. My designer was patient throughout the process and willing to revise the design until it was just right.

Where to begin-- When I originally called Home Design, I spoke with Antoinette. She was so helpful and pleasant, my mind was made up to use this company providing that we were pleased with their ideas and proposals. Between Caleb and Ed, a beautiful design was created and a proposal was agreed upon. Work was started and finished on time. The installers (Miguel and Max) were unbelievable. I really enjoyed watching them from my window because they were always smiling and cheerful and made me feel happy. Caleb visited everyday and Ed several times to insure that everything was progressing smoothly. Before they planted, I noticed a few of the plants that I did not particularly care for. There was no problem, they replaced them with others. They were all very professional and eager to please. This was a very difficult installation, it was a huge hill and 20 tons of river rock (variable sizes) had to be wheelbarrowed to this hill plus 100 plants planted. When they finished, they cleaned the entire area. You would never know that workman had been there. I would definitely recommend this company. It's too bad there are only 5 stars, I would have rated them higher!!

The Plant Design Group was great to work with. Caleb presented a design that fit our budget and used plants that really blended in beautifully with our property. The work crew was fantastic. They completed the entire job in one day and left the property spotless. We are absolutely thrilled with how they have transformed our front yard. They have our highest recommendation.

Our school worked with PLANT to design an outdoor classroom. This wonderful space is safe and inviting for all students to explore the outdoors. Thumbs Up from all our students!

Highly, highly recommend! One of the best in our area! Javan and his team patiently and professionally worked with us to find a solution on a very challenging project. Throughout the process, they took the time to really understand what would work, what we wanted and then completed a flawless installation under some very challenging conditions. Caleb and the Plant team were excellent! From my first experience on the phone with Antionette, I felt that my preferences and budget were being listened to and accommodated. Caleb was incredibly communicative, always willing to talk things through and brainstorm new plant substitutes when we wanted adjustments. It took some time to get the last of our 4 plant varieties figured out but Caleb was never impatient or frustrated with us. The design was very thoughtfully put together to give us the privacy we were looking for - functional and aesthetically pleasing. While planting, the crew worked quickly and did a great job - even patching a bare grass patch in our yard, mulching an additional garden bed and leaving some extra river rock, none of which were part of the job they were hired for! Ultimately, this was probably a small job (new mulch bed and 10 plants along a fence) for Plant Design but they never made us feel like it was. The finished product looks fantastic and we d hire Plant again in a heartbeat! So professional and responsive throughout!

I can't speak to their full-service offerings, but the PLANT staff helped us with a bulk order of decorative stone we needed for a landscaping project. Very friendly and knowledgable folks, and they delivered it the same day!

Thank you to Javan, Ed and Antoinette for making our front porch and landscape look beautiful. Javan and his team creatively redesigned our existing porch that was not constructed well when it was originally built. They had a lot of obstacles to consider and were able to create a solution that was beautiful, durable and within our budget. Now our porch has beautiful bluestone and was built to last. It gave our front entrance that WOW factor! Additionally, the landscape design is much more modern and free flowing and has plants that will bloom during varying seasons to keep it interesting all year long.

I had high hopes for Plant Design Group after reading their Google reviews. My experience however, was quite the opposite from what I d expected. I had a very unprofessional experience with Plant Design Group. Contacted them for an estimate for a fairly large project. They called me back pretty quickly and one of the first questions the woman Antionette , asked me was What s your budget ?. I explained that I didn t really have a budget but had a sizable project and had no idea what price range the project would fall in. That s why I was getting estimates. She told me I first had to have a video call with a design specialist. A week later, I had a video call with Caleb. I went through what I was looking for, showed him the property, and was told he d be out 3 days later to take measurements and photos. Well, almost two weeks passed and I never heard anything from Plant Design Group. Caleb never called or showed up. I emailed Antionette and told her I didn t hear back from anyone and that I ended up going with another company for the job (because they actually showed up). Her response was I hope your yard comes out nice and you enjoy your property. I guess business is going good for them. Glad they re able to blow off potential business. Especially during this tough time when a lot of businesses are struggling.

I am happy to report that the Plant team graciously came back out to remedy many of our concerns. While we would have preferred attention to detail the first time around, we did appreciate their sincere effort to improve the project. Additionally, we received word that they intend on revisiting our property over the coming months to ensure positive results remain consistent. Although we're not thrilled with our experience, we are much happier now and do appreciate their professionalism and effort.

We had high hopes for our front and backyard landscaping project, but ultimately were disappointed with the final result. Plant had fantastic reviews everywhere we searched. Despite their higher initial quote we decided to select them given their professionalism and the thoroughness with which they presented the planned overhaul. We found them responsive throughout our interactions leading up to and throughout the project, but we felt as though our desires were only selectively heard and that there was very little attention to detail in completing the work.
Our two main priorities were an improved outdoor drainage solution and the clearing out of the extensive brush on our property. That led to a much longer conversation, and thus a higher quote, that included our top priorities as well as substantial improvement in the aesthetics of the entire outdoor space ie. newly mulched beds with an array of bushes and flowers and power-washing/re-grouting outdoor patio. Weather interrupted the project and in the end the result appeared rushed. With that said, we were happy with the brush clearing and the thoroughness of that portion of the project. They removed many bushes/small trees in helping us to better optimize our property.
One issue we ran into was neglect for the main area where we were having drainage issues that really prompted us to seek the work in the first place. They improved drainage of several areas on the property but seemed to overlook the gradient issue at the core of the problem. To their credit, they apologized and did their best to remedy the specific area; although their solution seemed to be a simpler solution than what they originally said they would implement prior to the project beginning. Time will tell if the solution in fact works effectively.
We also noticed that there was very little attention given to what types of plants we did and didn't want to be included. We stated a desire for color in some of the beds with interest in hydrangeas. We never received hydrangeas, despite a few reminders. In being respectful of our budget they did repurpose some of our existing plants, but curiously replanted what appear to be large dead plants near the entrance to our driveway. This, along with the many weeds that immediately grew in every flower bed within the first week of them leaving, certainly don't help curb appeal. We realized that we would have to maintain the beds, but didn't expect several plants to be dead and the property to be overrun by weeds within two weeks of spending $13k.
Lastly, the cleanup was lazy. There are still several large plastic pipes that were ripped up from former drainage, as well as metal wire garden fence, sitting in our yard. Even though they had a power washer on site for our patio they neglected to clean the driveway, which was stained for weeks from the mulch. We were excited to have our property look beautiful and clean, but have unfortunately found that to not quite be the case. As they were finishing up the project we assumed that the lawn would be cut, weeded, and seeded but were told that we would need to speak separately with a lawn company to improve the health of the lawn. They did, however, seed several of the areas in which some of the clearing took place, but have not added seed in the weeks after when checking in on the sprinklers we are renting from them.

Javon and his team did a phenomenal job with up and down lighting in our backyard. Given how much extra time we plan on spending at home, we felt it was a great investment!

We worked with Plant Design early this summer after buying our home. The team was booked out with little availability- but we were desperate to get a start on the work and they found a way to work us in. Javan came to our home; he was honest, direct, consultative and collaborative. We had a vision and he built on it; he gave advice we didn't know we needed. In addition to advising us on the patio we were looking for, he shared a broader scope need to address drainage and water issues in our yard. The result really exceeded our expectations. His team was friendly, professional and incredibly skilled. The quality of their work is exceptional. We have had a few things on the backend that needed to be addressed and they have been responsive and gone above and beyond to help us. Plant Design is a great company and we highly recommend them!

PLANT Design Group at Shady Brook Farm improved the street facing view of the house addition - see before and after photos. I had requested flowers and boxwood plants to match the right side of the house. Also requested a larger plant to "hide" the air conditioner and propane tank at the side of the house from street view. Caleb suggested a deer resistant Schip Laurel for this. Caleb's team prepared the landscaping area, planted the Schip Laurel, Black Eyed Susan and Pink Coneflower perennials.

I had also asked Caleb for a 1/2 yard of topsoil - to fill in various lawn areas. He not only brought the topsoil, but also seeded and starter fertilized the patch area.

PLANT was responsive to my request for landscaping, provided suggestions, and delivered on schedule at the agreed on price.

I hired Plant to remove my old patio and design and install a new 900 square foot natural bluestone patio. I am very happy with the outcome. The entire Plant team is professional, detail-oriented, polite and responsive and they went above and beyond to ensure that the end result was just what I wanted. I have several additional hard-scaping projects that I plan to do in the next couple of years and I will absolutely call on Plant. I am looking forward to working with them again!

Plant Design Group developed and executed a fabulous plan for plantings and furniture in our new condo outdoor space. They worked with us to get our input and helped us furnish, design the plantings and incorporate artwork for the space to fully meet our desire for functionality and beauty.

We had Plant Design Group redo the grass for our entire backyard and build us a new retaining wall. They were professional and hard working every step of the way. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend them highly enough.
