Beautiful area and some cool star wars memorabilia.
Saw a private screening here, will never forget it. They have a huge theater inside for employees and their guests.
It was just cool to hang wid Yoda, and we got to spend time our relative who worked there :)
STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, THE EWOKS FILM ARE THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE.
As there they gave life to those famous movies I give 5 stars to that place.
heaven...
yes...it is
Attended the Global Voices Film Festival here. Thanks to Lucasfilm for hosting this important event.
I admire lucas films a lot, I am from Mexico, it hurts that I can never go to lucasfilms studios but I wish it would last for 1000 more years.
So much fun to walk around outside. Area is well kept and quiet. Yoda sits outside and is a cute photo op. Didn't go inside but didn't try to either. Next time ? Maybe?
Go check out the Yoda statue, and get to know an employee for a tour!
As a "Star Wars" fan.... this place is a must see! Yoda Fountain is a few minutes away.....
Possibly the classiest surroundings for an HQ that a corporation could have. Other than the Yoda fountain there's not a lot for a tourist to see.
Great experience to see the headquarters, its surroundings and some interior detail, although it would have been better if you could take a guided tour of its interior and enjoy the details that were created there of Star Wars, thank you so much!
It's a workplace with replicas of Star Wars characters in the lobby. It's just the marketing, online, and licensing units that work there - nothing exciting. Anyway, we waited in the lobby for our Uber to show up and the secretary told us to get out, because we'd overstayed our welcome by being on the couches more than 5 minutes. So much love.
Trying to save my Star Wars fan friends a trip. :D
For the sake of the galaxy don't let Ruin Johnson near another Star Wars film.
The Yoda fountain alone was worth the pilgrimage. The lobby has some fun stuff to see if you're a Star Wars fan. Just know it's not a museum, but an actual workplace so there's nothing for the public past the lobby. But it's fun to be able to say I've been there!
The guy we called hung up on us before we even got to talk to Poe Dameron
Can't say anything about it - could not find it. Street signs are terrible. Was very hot and got tired of walking so we gave up. Was disappointing.
I had read that in the Presidio area of San Francisco it was possible to see a fountain with Yoda.
During a bike ride in the Californian city I went there and after taking some pictures outside I poked around in the nearby buildings and entered what I discovered was the headquarters of LucasFilm.
As soon as I crossed the threshold of the building behind Master Yoda, I saw a plurality of statues, mannequins and memorabilia from the world of Star Wars.
I asked the reception girl for permission to take some pictures and some information on the activity carried out in the building.
The girl politely told me it was the Lucas Film headquarters and made me take all the photos I wanted.
In 10 minutes I did it all. It was free. It's a must-see place for anyone in San Francisco and a Star Wars fan.
Overall the buildings and the area are cool to see. You can see lots of star wars props through the windows. the Yoda Fountain is a bit small, but worth a look for big fans.
At a Star Wars collectors museum the guy who worked there told me that the theme of Star Wars was a christian redemption story.
Darth Vader (corrupt sinner)
Luke Skywalker (desperate Jehovah's Witness)
Emporor (Satan)
The Rebellion was the Light (saved)
The Empire was Dark (sinners)
At the end, Vader finally turns to the light when Luke defeats him (3 days after Vader thought he had died)
It has nothing to see, do or visit. These are just offices. Do not waste your time. Not to mention there's nothing, there's a life-size Darth Vader in the concierge.
It's funny how the thing I loved as a child represents all I abhor as an adult. This place is a cancer on the face of the earth.
This Star Wars LEGO set is just as awesome as Lucasfilm I love the franchise and the awesome LEGO game.
For fans of SW duty, it's just a room with different replicas of the movie, but it's still great.
The Lucasfilms foyer and Yoda fountain are a must visit destination for any Star Wars tragics/nerds who are in San Francisco. A word of warning - Bob Fett has been put in storage! I traveled here 7 years ago but it was a weekend and the foyer isn't open on weekends so I couldn't get a photo next to him. I went there today to finally get my photo and he's been replaced by K-2SO. I love Rogue One and K-2SO but he's no substitute for Bob Fett!
Walked in, and we were told.. " can't go in, its not open for public"...
If you have a chance to explore this place, don't pass it up.
I have lived in the Bay Area all my life 30+ years and this is my first time. I guess the last Star Wars film inspired me and knowing the next film is coming in December for me curious to see the company that made all the magic . It s located in the in the Presidio San Francisco. Awesome place. Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge . Also a must see the Yoda fountain.
from star wars to all the top creative team with george selling to Disney, a wonderful group. stephen becker -atlanta
Place is pretty, but nothing to visit, really. They even glazed the windows so you can't see.
I got to see R2-D2, Chopper and C-3PO and Life sized models of Yoda, Obi Wan Kenobi And Luke Skywalker I think
No was it Anakin? Nevermind And I saw Yoda Fountain I think you could by light sabers and merchandise from the movies it was pretty cool I recommend you to go there
The force is strong here. I was passing through chasing a rogue land speeder (it had a kid with blond hair inside, said he was a moisture farmer) then I came across this place. I saw many a fans making their pilgrimage to the sacred fountain.
Finally made it in. The only way you can get in its if you know someone or if you have an appointment. I was lucky enough to attend a film festival here and we got into the lobby and the theater. Nerd girl dreams do come true.
Thank you for making some of the best films ever. Long live Star Wars!
Very cool Yoda fountain out front, a nice lobby with more star wars stuff in it. Not a museum, free entry. If your a star wars fan and your near by this is probably worth it to see.
I can't believe that that the people who made starwars like Lucas and his crew are famous
