We stayed here overnight to relax before returning home after shopping and making noise at the sky bar in the Sukhumvit area.
You can be healed by a room with a wonderful view of the river view, a beautiful lawn garden, or a poolside.
From check-out until the night flight, we enjoyed free daily activities provided by the hotel, such as yoga and tennis, and enjoyed shopping at the adjacent DECSIAM shopping mall.
Meals are buffet style sitting on the terrace seat at the riverfront. Chinese and Thai food, bread is also abundant, such as gluten-free and egg benedict. The coffee was delicious and I drank about four cups. Afternoon tea also had a lot of special sweets.
Among the activities, tennis is fully equipped with rental (the racket is a bit old), the coach gives a lesson on a beautiful court, and when it is over, it is refreshed in a jacuzzi, and I heard that all this is free at a Japanese hotel Not.
Although it may be expensive among Bangkok hotels, considering such services, there is more satisfaction than price. By the way, I'm glad to give cold bottled water often.
I want to go to stay again.

1. On the left bank of the Chao Phraya River, each room is a river view. There seems to be only 12 rooms on each floor. The room in Room 2512 we stayed in thinks that the view is not very good, the layout is a bit strange, disappointing! !

2. Walk 7 to 8 minutes from the newly opened mall -Icon Siam. The hotel also has a free shuttle boat every half an hour, but you can walk in the past; you can always go to the opposite bank, we often It is the case of chartering.

3. Breakfast is very good, especially in the salad area, there are some special organic dishes, the tea is packed in silverware, the whole pot is very beautiful, sitting on the river bank and eating breakfast feels very comfortable!

So far, our stay has been fabulous. When we arrived by taxi, someone helped check that we weren't over charged. Everyone here has been very friendly and helpful. The location is on the opposite side of the river from most things, but there is a lovely free boat which can drop you off right at a sky train station that leads to the rest of the city. We have a fantastic view from our river-facing deluxe room on the 23rd floor. The service is top notch, with room service organizing anything left out and providing a bowl of tropical fruit every day. The riverside bar is small but I haven't seen it crowded, and it's very open and pleasant next to the water. Passing boats are fun to watch. The pool seems very relaxing, hopefully we can squeeze in time to enjoy it tomorrow. I really like the look and feel of the hotel, with lots of dark wood interiors and lush plants outside. It is a great mix of Thai and familiarity. The only thing we're missing is a hot tub, but the deep bath tub with a tv is a very nice way to relax after a day of exploring.

Edit: Our entire several night stay was fabulous. The concierge was very helpful in translating when they made a local call to a tour company for us. Everyone there was very kind. We went on their booze cruise and had a blast. An evening enjoying one of the poolside cabanas with food and drink deliveries was perfection. The happy hour is a good deal, especially the one in the coconut (which is also a snack if you like young coconut)! The night we did the buffet was a bit disappointing, seemed like we picked a bad night with less variety than we thought we'd get and the carved meat was cold, but nothing to fuss about. That was the only thing that wasn't excellent during our stay there though, and other nights the buffet had looked fantastic.

The location is so-so, but it is a great value hotel to stay at the Peninsula at a fraction of the cost compared to other cities like Hong Kong, New York or Paris. The quality of the hotel is just on par and the staff are amazing.

Comfortable hotel. When you spend the afternoon in a riverside cafe, you'll get the most comfortable Bangkok experience. Afternoon Tea in the afternoon and the buffet restaurant in the evening will give a good time to those who want to enjoy quietly. All the employees are working like a perfect professional. There is Icon Siam nearby and a junk ship operated by the hotel can take you to the nearby docks for free. It is a common ship used by locals in Thailand, and you can observe old temples and houses located on both sides of the river upstream of the Chao Phraya River. Boats with yellow flags on board can be boarded at 15 baht regardless of distance, so it's a good idea to fully observe Bangkok's rivers and the surrounding culture, and a good tip not to forget about luxury hotels nearby.

The room is very good, the atmosphere is good, but the service staff is terrible since turning the car in. No one is interested or asked to ask even one person. Walked in and finished the check-in, returned to the parking lot to take the luggage Walk dragging the lift bag full of hands, walking through the front door staff standing talking to each other but seeing no response at all. Room for 5 facial expressions and services 0.

Peninsula-like service and friendly staff

Peninsula-like service and friendly staff
The rooms overlook the Chao Phraya River and the pool view.
It was a riverside hotel, but the water shuttle was well done, and it was convenient because there was a water shuttle every 30 minutes.
The vegan breakfast was very impressive.

River cafe dinner buffet... I was with a 21months baby. They just offered outside table without asking preference. There were mosquitos so i requested to move my table to inside. First they said ok but later a lady brought spray..to use it on my baby. And said there is no table inside...even i saw empty tables! I have been many hotels but it is far unacceptable services. How come they offer chemicals spray to baby????

Second day here, and the majority of the staff address me by my name. Breakfast is excellent. Fitness center staff are amazing. Early morning yoga at Gong Wu Temple followed by walk through Princess Mother Memorial Park was very special.

Had an amazing stay at the Peninsula Bangkok at the start of July. Though the dreary rainy weather was upon the city, it wasn't such a bad idea chilling indoors for a change. The hotel is warm and welcoming, check in was prompt with a quick passport capture at the front desk and i was ushered straight to my room to complete the rest - basically just signing off on the forms. Loved the immaculately furnished rooms done with a classy traditional charm, and very spacious too. Stayed at the river view Deluxe room on the 18th floor with a gorgeous view of the Chao Praya river and Sathorn Pier at a distance. Super comfy beds and plush pillows that will definitely give you a good night rest. Bathrooms are fitted with double sinks - one on each side - bathtub, standing shower and all the basic amenities - did I mention Oscar de la Renta toiletries! You can even speak on the phone hands free, while on the throne. I found the TV rather unusually placed. Despite it being able to rotate at an angle, its not as comfortable viewing it from bed.

The hotel was at pretty high occupancy during my stay, but service is still top notch. Everything is just a phone call away. Breakfast was lavish serving an intercontinental spread till 11am each morning. Had a good selection of baked goods, cold cuts, cheeses, superfoods station with gluten free options, tropical fruits, hot dishes, live stations for eggs, noodles and dimsum too. There's a fresh juice counter located at the far side of the restaurant offering their daily blend of smoothies and you can even request your customised juice concoction - do take a stroll over to check it out. The hotel offers on demand shuttle boat service to and from Sathorn Pier which connects you to Saphan Taksin BTS. The boat also runs every 30mins at the hour and half past to the new flagship mall Icon Siam. Though the property is located across the river, but very accessible to various shopping districts and the city centre. This has got to be my new favourite hotel in Bangkok. Friendly, courteous and helpful service team who goes all the way to ensure each guest leaves with a memorable experience. Will surely be back!

We went for buffet dinner with friends. What we saw of the hotel & restaurant lives up to its reputation. Very attentive, professional and friendly staff with a great humor. Love the free authentic shuttle boat from Saphan Taksin pier.

Please check out and check your hotel fares card bill!

The hotel is good. Especially the staff at the spa counter was very friendly ~ Room service was good too, but the finish is a mess.

I checked out and canceled the deposit, and I paid for the fare card, but the first one did not pay and asked for another card. I gave another card without thinking and went to the airport immediately after checking out. I thought it was a 5 star hotel.

When I came to Korea, I saw two letters of card payment.
Both first and second cards were approved.
Spa Room Service Included.

I thought I could make a mistake by this time.
I contacted the hotel by e-mail and explained the situation by phone, but I did not contact you so I contacted you again. I contacted you again, I received an email saying that the card cancellation process was completed urgently, so I sent the canceled receipt I did)

This finish is a mess. I feel the first time I feel like being rushed by a hotel.

Elegant, peaceful and carrying a superb selection of freshly made cocktails and Chinese food (still wondering why that place doesn t have a Michelin Star yet but never mind that). This hotel is a real oasis in the very heart of Bangkok, a must try should you wish to rest and relax whether you are a traveler or, like me, a neighbor

Famous on the other side of Chao Praya-river with excellent rooms and amazing views, at least from higher floors. We had a room with balcony and enjoyed the atmosphere at the river especially at night. The room was a little bit outdated but nothing to complain about. Staff extremely attentive and nice. The pool area is on ground floor directly close to the river. It can get crowded on weekends. During our stay there were lot of guests from the US and China at The Peninsula, and everything was fine and quiet - except at breakfast time. So if you re thinking whether to book a rate with our without breakfast, keep in mind that you can transfer with the free river shuttle on the other riverside where you ll find plenty of food & drink opp.

It will be about one less star than Oriental, but it will be the best staying time. You need to cross the river to the BTS by boat. Was it Sapan Takushin? There is a taste for a ferry, and it will be a good memory. The recommendation is to inspire a little money and ask for a transfer at Benz. It is sure that it will stimulate the mood by entering from the front door of the hotel!

A great hotel. I remember when it first opened about 17 years ago. No one knew about it so they had to lower rates to under 100 USD per nite with breakfast to get people there. No longer of course.

No exec. lounge which is a bit unusual for a 5-star BKK hotel. Barges to cross the river are available from 3 locations including the Pen's own pier just north of the Shangri-La.

Good hotel, friendly and breakfast is also good, so I would like to go again but the rice is a little ambiguous. The ship across the river is called without a long wait so I feel welcome at first

Overnight stay in Bangkok and we opted for the Peninsula and it did not disappoint. In true Peninsula fashion, the front door was opened by bell staff dressed in white uniform with white hat and gloves. Check in was fast and in room in no time. Our room on the 25th floor was spacious and amazing view overlooking the other side of the river. You absolutely have everything you can imagine in the room , even a fax machine with it's own number; the dressing room was a nice touch; the bathroom had dual sinks, separate tub and shower and a TV by the tub. We even discovered a pigeon hole in the dressing room where you can put your shoes in, push a button and your shoes will be cleaned/polished. There were also some exotic fruits and a tea set with tea leaf for your enjoyment. The hotel ground was nicely maintained, and they have their own boat which, I think, takes guests to the other side of the river. Walking pass the Thiptara restaurant during dinner time and the smell will make your mouth waters. Staff from the bell desk to the reception to the concierge desk to the lobby restaurant were all polite and all willing to help. Impeccable service.

Stayed here for one night when a friend held their wedding reception here. The Peninsula is one of the older more establishments hotels but they do a good job in keeping all the knobs and switches working and sprucing it up so it looks Spock and span and with all the amenities you expect.

Set on the river with mature gardens the hotel is a great place to pitch up and slowly immerse yourself into Bangkok after a long trip, for those with a busy (work) schedule it might be a bit more difficult to use as a base unless getting a boat and getting off at the nearest BTS station is your thing. Otherwise if you have nothing more urgent than a spa, some shopping or a sightseeing tour this is definitely the spot for you.

Even though I was there for only one night I managed to enjoy the guilty pleasure of a late afternoon boat ride over to the Mandarin to have a cigar and a whisky and floating back to the Peninsula before the reception began.

My kids also enjoyed the afternoon tea we had at the Peninsula and the staff were kind enough to inform us that one set of sandwiches and cakes would be more than enough for us all.

Now I ve mentioned the staff I should add that all of those we came into contact with from front of house, restaurant staff, concierge, maids etc helped to make the stay so pleasurable with their helpful, courteous and attentive care.

We had a lovely corner room with unobstructed views of the river, my youngest said this is the nicest room we ve ever had and trust me he has seen a lot of hotels! The bathroom was lovely and spacious with double sinks, separate bath and shower stall. The room was clean comfy and warm. The hotel also went to the nice touch of leaving out some gingerbread cookies for the boys to decorate prior to go out in the evening.

On the Sunday we had time to enjoy the pool which is set on the river in a mature garden.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable one night home stay that left us all wanting another night or two there.
