The Peninsula Bangkok Hotel Review

We stayed in this very noble hotel in January 2017 and felt very comfortable.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel. Ive been to Bangkok 4 or 5 times and I always stay here. The hospitality is by far the best. And I mean the best in the world. The hotel itself could use some upgrades. It is exactly the same as in 2008 when I 1st came to Bangkok. However, it is still very beautiful. You quickly forget about the older electronics when everyone from the gardeners to the general manager treats you as if you are the only guest in the hotel. That is only the beginning. When you taste the vast array of culinary dishes you cant help but to fall in love with the Thai culture. You definitely can not go wrong with your stay here.

Great Hotel next to the Chao Praya River. Accessible by cars and hotel serviced boat from the skytrain BTS. Good brunch menu and amazing chinese cuisine.

The night is so beautiful, the service is good, but the relative price is also expensive

Me and friends were eating at Thiptara Thai cuisine. The food was really nice and tidy! The view is fantastic and valuable. While, the price is a bit higher than expected, but the quality matter experience !

6 star service and very nice furnished room. The best bed I've had in a 5 star hotel. I love the bathroom and the fresh fruits everyday lol the view is magnificent. Will surely recommend it.

A magnificent hotel, for me the most beautiful in Bangkok, although its location, across the Chao Praya River, could be a drawback, partly resolved with the check-in lounge next to the Shangri La, it is to say on the right side of the river. There is also a boat service which (until midnight only) shuttles with the metro and the part closest to the city center.
The most beautiful because it is a hotel which was entirely built by the Peninsula group, by putting the resources there! All rooms have a view of the river and the city. The back of the hotel is actually the gangways.
The room is very very spacious, even the most basic. I was once upgraded to a suite, this is "palace" in all its definition!
Each bedroom has a huge dressing room, an impregnable life and a bathroom with double sinks opposite as well as a shower and bathtub. Little luxury: a TV in the bathtub, to watch TV5 for example!
Shoe polish, newspapers, every day.
Everything is controlled from the bed, thanks to an intelligent remote control: the curtains, the air conditioning, the lights, ....
Catering: air-conditioned restaurant with the possibility of outside service, by the river (to be preferred, although all Asians are inside!).
I recommend the buffet: everyone will be satisfied.
Otherwise Thai restaurant built in the garden, with old buildings brought back: it's very beautiful). Nice experience, but very very spicy attention. Specify if you want a little spicy because I almost strangled myself! On the other hand, it is excellent.
Breakfast: not to be missed! Nothing to say. Ditto, taking it outside by the river, with the passing of boats and the noise of the city, it's a change of scenery!
SPA: I tested it once. Great art, but we do not expect less in a place like this, in the capital of massage too! Better to go into town, for more reasonable prices.
Swimming pool: very narrow but which goes down towards the river, by several levels: the impression is bluffing.
Several bars, including a very lounge, with large bay windows overlooking the river, this is the one I prefer.

Almost 5 star if not for the location on the other site of the river that can make it hard to get around. You need to cross the bridge to most places you will go so bring patience especially if rush hours.

Definitely the transfers from and to the airport with Rolls Royce and / or BMW 7 book. In the morning in the city and in the afternoon to the pool! A little dream.

Beautiful location. Great service. The Thai people are exceptionally polite and friendly and the staff at the hotel set a new standard for helpful and welcoming service. We had a balcony Riverview room and stayed for about a week. We got top quality service and the view from our balcony was, in addition to picturesque, fun to watch with so many boats including the 4 hotel shuttle boats, on the river at one time. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was better than many Asian hotels I have eaten in, and I note that Asian hotels generally have good buffets. This set a new standard for view, variety of foods and service. The hotel pool was nice and relaxing. The hotel river shuttle boats made the location easy to use given the proximity to mass transit, public waterboats, taxis and even the tuk tuk on the other side. I would have no trouble recommending the Peninsula to both a demanding traveller and a first time traveller who is prepared to spend a little more for top quality service.

It was once a very nice hotel but that was probably 10 years ago. I stayed in nicer 3/4 star hotels for half the price in BKK.

It was nice because the hotel was full of flowers, the pool was good by the river, and the room view was good because it was a river view. Sightseeing Icon Siam has been here all day and it's just a great hotel to stay well and relax well

Great hotel with excellent selection of restaurants

The location is slightly off the high street but everything is covered. Rooms, service, swimming pool, breakfast !! Everything was perfect. If you go to Bangkok, you will go to the Peninsula Hotel again.

Excellent hotel. Really everything is just perfect. The smallest details are taken care of. Great restaurant which offers an excellent breakfast and dinner. Rooms are spacious with beautiful bathroom. The staff is courteous and taken great care of you. Beautiful swimming pool, temperature is refreshing. Would definitely recommend and like to go back soon.

The hotel is very good .. clean, convenient, air-conditioned, very cool. .. The staff walked through. Greeted, smiling.

Although it is not in the center, if you use a boat, taxi or grab of the hotel etc., there is a feeling of resort from the hotel in the center where you stayed before staying here without inconvenience, it was made slowly.

Perfect hospitality as well as good service and facilities, can make a recommendation here.

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. From the moment you walk in the service is exquisite. The staff is attentive but not overly so. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated with many nice touches. It all comes together for a wonderful experience.

We had a large room with a desk and couch. Daily fresh fruit and treats. Excellent lighting although I would have liked to control lamps individually. Control panel on both sides of the bed for drapes and lights. International outlets. 110/220 outlets. Multifunction printer, scanner, fax. Separate water closet. 2 separate sinks. Food m restaurants is very good. Exceptional breakfast buffet. Incredible 3 section pool.

Definitely a luxury hotel.
As soon as a child starts crying in a restaurant that is too quiet, common sense people gather outside.

Lovely hotel with impeccable service. I love the view of my city view king bedroom, the bed alone was worth the visit. The brunch offered a wide array of items to choose from, my favorite being the bread pudding. My only negative remark is that I wish the hotel was located on the other side of the river, but it's not that big of a deal because the complimentary boat transfer service is very fast and you never have to wait.

Always a pleasure to be back at this wonderful hotel by the Chao Phraya River; getting to and fro is best done with the river boats too; The Char Siew is simply delightful at the Chinese Restaurant at the Basement!

What a hotel. Just WOW In every way. The best hotel in Bangkok In my humble opinion. Not only is the hotel immaculate; every member of staff is so professional and polite.

Fantastic breakfast, cozy guest room and friendly members. This is the best Peninsula hotel among their network. Definitely worth to stay here, much better than that in Hong Kong. Staying this hotel is my purpose for visiting Bangkok.

Great hotel for weekend brunch buffet. One of the best riverside hotels in Bangkok. Comes with a hefty room rates though.

Luxury and Perfect Location in Bangkok

Luxury destination in Bangkok. Excellent stay facility. Loved the hospitality. The staff is very courteous. Rooms are too biggggg & maintained very well. One cannot resist falling in love with the rooms & ambience. Different variety of fruits placed in the rooms each day always left me surprised. This would always be a dream destination for me in Bangkok.

If you go to Bangkok, you can experience the Peninsula Hotel once. Perhaps the cheapest value for the Peninsula is worldwide
Maybe ... The mango in the breakfast was good and I would like to praise all the hardware software. However, there is a quiver zone in the swimming pool, which is inconvenient for families with children. In addition, private bus with other guest room is infringed because of problem of building structure. If you are looking for a hotel on the banks of the Oparaya River, I highly recommend it.

Tiptara Restaurant Pat Thai was the best

The place was old and vintage. The seafood buffet was not to standard and expensive. They have the perfect views of the river though.

A nice 5 star on the river. Service not great. Requests for service elicit luke warm responses. Rooms small. Expensive.

I think it is one of the great hotels in Bangkok.

1. The biggest advantage is the hotel facilities, breakfast, landscaping, swimming pool, and service are all excellent. The scenery around the river is also beautiful.
2. The only drawback is the inconvenient access to the city and tourist attractions.
The nearest Saphan Taksin station is difficult to access even on foot, so I mainly took a taxi.
3. If you only use taxis well, the hotel itself wants to give you the best.
For your reference, Mandarin Oriental hotel is also a good hotel, but it is located along the river, so it is difficult to move around

Extremely luxury inside. Nothing to explore on this side of Chao Phraya River, gotta go the other side to have food or others. Nice view from hotel room.

A bit late post, but it would be unfair if I do not mention about this wonderful hotel. Large & specious rooms, amazing ambience with beautiful river view and very helpful staff members. The boat trip was a bonus.

The rooms are luxurious and well organized, and the bath is spacious and relaxing.
The food is also delicious.

However, I was surprised that most of the staff did not smile, and while eating food on the plate at the dinner buffet, I was able to grow my arms to take the small plate on the plate.

It was amazing for a hotel in Thailand that there was only a smile on the staff at check-in and the staff who received a grill order for a seafood dinner

Some Thai female officer at breakfast restaurant was very rude. She looked down on Asians. I think she was racism eventhougt she is Thai.

The food is so disappointing!
Fruit plate uses less ripe fruit, it is no taste (only appearance is beautiful). At the dinner, was tasteless and too salty. The sushi section is a low-priced seafood buffet in Korea. Only the form section is delicious. I will use the room only when I go again.

Had dinner buffet in this 5 star hotel, booking with eatigo app with 50% discount, which is too crazy... As meat lover, I really enjoyed the food, especially those BBQ. Great variety of food and I didn't have enough room to try every single food... I must return for the fabulous food and services.

It is an optimized hotel for relaxing and leisurely relaxation. The staff was friendly and there was a nice swimming pool in the swimming pool. Despite being a yearly hotel, the room management was really good and I was able to stay pleasant and pleasant. Breakfast is also good. I had mango section every morning and ate mango every day.

Very luxurious accommodations and a staff that assures you a very satisfying experience. The rooms are great, especially the view.

All of the restaurants are very good but very pricey, but that's to be expected when staying at a resort like this one. If you want some cheaper food just take their free boat across the river and enjoy!

Peninsula is my favorite hotel.
More elegant than the Mandarin, better view than Sheraton, the best pool (but a little cold).
The service is better than Sheraton, but I feel less pressure than in Mandarin.
the atmosphere is more relaxed and I do not have to wear formal pants when it is so hot and humid.
I recommand it.

Love this hotel! The service is always amazing and although is not a new hotel they always maintain it very well. One of my favorite things to do is have breakfast overlooking the river and take the hotel s ferry boat across the river. I recommend to have the hotel pick you up at the airport, because one of the perks besides the luxury car is that they process the check-in in your room.

In here for dinner buffet. Great place for appetizer and dessert. Not much choice for food though.

The best moon cake in town can be bought here on the lower ground floor.
