I usually don't post negative reviews, but after contacting them directly with no response, thought I'd better. Overall a lousy, overpriced, mediocre meal.
Seated in the middle of the room at a table next to the outside door, so everytime it opened we were wind blown. It was in the 30s outside. Asked to be moved to neighboring table out of the draft, but told it was spoken for. (15 minutes later nobody was seated there) Our bad, as we should have left right then. Instead we got chilled (and now home sick) for food that matched the ambiance. Overall a lousy, overpriced, mediocre meal. Won't go back nor recommend.
Save money and headache--go to the Sportsman Pub and Grub for friendly service, warm atmosphere, and amazing fish and chips.

Went with a large party, mistake. Food came out after an hour and I know it sat under a heat lamp. Chowder was good, fish tacos got soggy and rice got dry under the lamp. Beer was really good. Will try again with just a couple people.

Over-rated tourist trap. Forgot about us on the waiting list, even after asking about our position. 45 minutes later we bolted for a small local place and were much happier. Tried their beer at another spot and was underwhelmed with the IPA. Save your time and money and visit Rogue in Newport.

Told us to wait 45 min for a table but we waited 1.5 hours. Friend ordered dungeon crab Mac and cheese and the kitchen forgot the crab part...they took it back and put cold crab meat on the Mac and cheese. Burgers are not bad.

A little too touristy (you enter through the gift shop) but as it is in a resort area, it is to be expected. The food was generously sized standard pub fare. The beers were hit-or-miss, but several were quite good. Service was a little lacking, but they were very busy.

My husband, 8 year old son, and I enjoyed the friendly staff and scrumptious food three days during our Pacific City visit. We enjoyed the Umbrella IPA, 3 Caves, Surfer Summer Ale, shrimp salad, fish tacos, spicy burger, flat bread, fish and chips, cheese cake, rootbeer float, kid's tri tip, kid's cheese flat bread, and kid's grilled cheese sandwich.

Outstanding food and drinks and impressive service. Had butter lettuce salad + tri-tips and fish tacos. We enjoyed our dinner in this restaurant that's classy and fresh, plus cozy and cool, right on the spectacular beach.

Very busy place. Had to sit at bar but that was ok. Bartender who served us was great. Not usually a beer drinker but Kawanda cream ale was awesome! Food was very good. Going to make this place a regular stop on all our trips to the Oregon coast.

i ordered the fish and chips. it was fine, albeit very expensive. had the tsunami stout, also pricey, yet an excellent beer. kids meals were overpriced and small for bigger kids. service was very good and the view can t be beat as it is literally on the beach. get patio seating!

My Wife and I honeymooned in Neskowin. We finally found this gem 3 days into our holiday. After we found it we spent every afternoon here sitting on the patio watching the waves roll in. I am a huge craft beer fan and they did not disappoint a little pricey on the beer but worth it. The food was top notch as well. Words can't describe this location, it's a must visit.

Decided to make the small drive while staying in Lincoln City. Was worth it. Great food and location on the beach. Friendly service, we ended up the back day for chowder at lunch. Love this place!!

I ve been to Pelican a few times now and I am always disappointed in the food. The service, atmosphere, and beer are all great, they just really need to step it up with the food. Overall the menu is mediocre at best, standard pub food, nothing too exciting. Also, the food prices do not match the portions or overall quality, $15 for onion rings is just insane to me!!!! If you plan to visit, I d just stick to the beer.

the cheese burger was pretty tasty - good local meat - the salad not that great - too pricey for what we got
said thank you to the server on the way out - no response - guess she didn't like the tip?

Beautiful place facing the sea with 3 whales sui play in the water as a show.
The waitress was lovely, very professional.
We had 15 minutes of waiting announced, now 6 minutes in reality and notified by SMS that the table was ready.
The food was very good.
Do not hesitate to stop

I'll admit it. This place does have really good beer, and unfortunately, the over $7.00 price point for a craft beer is becoming the norm. And it is hard to beat the location. The food, however, is not worth the high price. Also, if you want to eat here, prepare for a long wait for a table.

Probably one of the most overrated breweries I've been to in a city that is overrated as a "go-to" beach town. I didn't try the food here, but the beers you can tell didn't have the correct flavor and rushed out the door. The hosts were fighting over and upset about where they wanted to sit us. So many other coast towns that actually is welcoming.

The beer is phenomenal, the food is....food. I had a flight here that included a hefeweizen, and I thought I hated those so I was expecting the worst, but it was the best beer in the flight and I enjoyed them all and especially the IPAs. For entrees they have two: fish and chips, and a CAULIFLOWER "steak". Made out of a cauliflower, I double checked. Have the clam chowder or a burger I guess?

15.99 for 5, not very good wings. They should be embarrassed.
Clam chowder served without spoons. I can't make this up!
Beers are good. Iced tea was good.
This has become a tourist trap recently. Just a money grab. More power to them I guess. No more of my money. Crooks!

Pelican Brewing at Pacific City was an excellent way to end my girlfriend and I's seaside adventure. Good choices of drink (naturally, its a brewpub), decent food options, and excellent views.

Ended up being more expensive than we were prepared to pay for pub food. So we got a flight of beer. It was okay, but nothing special, and the hosts kept staring at my chest while talking to me. The view of the beach is good though.

My son and I stopped here back in June of 2017 on our roadtrip from Seattle to central WV. Best part was enjoying a draft beer at the outdoor seating out back. It was near sunset and the views of the seastack (Chief Kiawanda Rock) just off the beach and the huge dune at Cape Kiwanda were spectacular.

This place is awful.

This place is awful.
First of all, for an Oregon brewery their beer is just average. Their food is pricy and not that good.
Second of all, the restaurant stole our sunglasses. We left two pairs of sunglasses on the table and when we came back to get them not much later the manager was super sketchy and not helpful about giving them back.
Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Menu is a little pricey, but you realize why when the food arrives. It was VERY good. The service was excellent. The beer was actually pretty meh for me, I've never been a "hoppy" person. Only the first two of the flight had any taste. The rest just tasted like hops. But hey, if that's what you're in to, you should be pretty pleased.

It was good until we sat at the bar and I was next to one of there computers and one of the employees that was working the front was very rude about me moving over! Other employees working the computer besides the other guy did not have any issues, unprofessional of how to ask someone that!

The food was very good, the service was soso. They changed our server several times and this was frustrating enough that I was coming close to taking some of the tip back. Parking is very difficult since it's next to a popular beach and you will have to wait for a table. I don't drink beer but my husband does and he likes Pelican brewery beer.

The food here is very average which would normally be ok given the fact your right on the beach. The cost is the real bad thing here, although the food I normally wouldn't put up with either. My bill was $70 for below average food and the service was shocking. It was like he was doing us a favor. I was there with a party of 4 and everyone agreed.

Service was great, considering Other places I have dined eating macaroni and cheese with (dungeon is not crab) this place was okie dokie. But catch me outside with that Marion Berry dessert that was some fire dessert!!!

Amazing

Great place to eat and watch the waves. I've been going here my whole life and although you can get the same fish and chips for half price at the Sportsman, the view can't be beat. Food is over priced and twice I've been told the wait was 30 min and I waited over an hour. You can always just order a pint and take it outside or fill a growler for the weekend. I still take friends here when they visit.

Great location and service, good beer, average food, and high prices. I understand craft beer is usually on the higher side price-wise, but to me $6.50 - $7.50 a pint is pricey for good Oregon beer, especially at the brewery.

Excellent beer, the Saison in particular is phenomenal. This place has an excellent vibe, and I thought service was going to be lacking considering it's prime location. That wasn't the case. Pretty nice view of "The Rock" as well.

Great views (during the daytime), above average pub food, good beer, and very kid friendly (the last being a huge benefit for our extended family with five kiddos). Only downside is that the prices are pretty steep for a brewpub.

Been here multiple times throughout the years. Most recent time was my last. There's no excuse for serving fish in Pacific City for the price I paid that tastes like grocery store fish smells. As a fisherman, I should know better, but took a risk.

Other food here is hit and miss. Can be a solid B+ or fairly uninspiring. If the prices weren't so high, it'd be 3 stars. If the fish hadn't been fishy, it'd be 4 stars.

This was first time in Pacific City and my experience at this restaurant was very underwhelming. Let's chalk it up to the pandemic, but will not be returning here anytime soon. FWIW - food was delicious and the views are gorgeous - take it with a grain of sand, pun intended.
