We went to a friends wedding here, and thought the place was fantastic. The facilities were beautiful, and everything appeared to be well maintained. Our server at the banquet was very attentive and provided great service. All the food that we tried was top notch.

Beautiful venue for a wedding with friendly staff, great cocktail hour selections, good entrees, a pretty garden, and a dessert selection that blows away nearly every other venue.

Nice. But where tables are can't see grand entrance from the stairs.

Fabulous place! We were there celebrating my niece's wedding in July 2018. I've never been to such a grand wedding reception in my life. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere was magical. We had a great time and I believe everyone there did too.

Very good for events like weddings and parties. Hall is a good size. Parking is free.

Please reconsider - During this time of COVID-19 they have been so harsh and often times rude. As the request to postpone is not honored even though the contract is altered due to covid 19. Seated cocktail hour (even though we were sold extravagant cocktail stations and a wrapped dancefloor). Even as a HIGH RISK family the palace is heartless so if you want a venue that cares about you or your big day -pick another venue. Just be careful when booking this venue now and in the future to come. Kindly message me for any detail you want to discuss before booking this venue.

Several years of the annual awards dinner, and always meets ecpectations.

I had attended a few weddings here prior to venue hunting for our own. I still remember my very first impression of The Palace when I attended my bridesmaid's wedding here - it was "wow".

From the moment we started inquiring about The Palace, everyone we dealt with was super friendly and accommodating. This made the already stressful wedding process so much easier to deal with. We visited a few other venues in the Central Jersey location, but we would always come back to The Palace. When we would compare the venues and what they offered, there was never any question of who we should and wanted to book with. Our event planners, Christie and Alex were awesome. From our meetings to follow-up questions we had or clarification we needed, they always answered us promptly and were so friendly in the process. Our Maitre D and Bridal Attendant, Richard and Jillian respectively, were amazing. From our first meeting, they were true professionals, efficient, and so nice and fun to deal with. This carried out to our big day. Jillian and Richard were always checking up on us and making sure we and everything was okay. They allowed us to just enjoy our day and be in the moment instead of having to worry about the details of the day!

The venue itself is beautiful and grand. They only allow for 2 events to be booked at the same time and the beauty of their set-up is that you wouldn't even know it because the 2 events would be happening at opposite ends of the venue and everything from the valet parking, bridal suites, cocktail hour, reception, balconies, etc is separated.

As soon as your guests arrive, they are greeted with 2 of your chosen signature cocktails. Their cocktail hour is usually divided between their large balcony and inside if weather permits. If it's cold out, they set up heaters also. Aside from the different stations you choose, they also have staff walking around serving hors d'oeuvres. All of their food is delicious! We remember it first hand from the weddings we attended, but we were soon reminded of it during our food tasting, and our family and friends continue to tell us how good the food was!

When the cocktail hour ends, they pull the curtains back and reveal the adjoining main room. During the introductions, we made our grand entrance down the staircase but had the rest of our bridal party enter through the main floor (since we had a few pregnant bridesmaids). The rest of the night was seamless as Richard and Jillian made sure we were aware of when everything was happening (first dance, speeches, dinner, cake-cutting, etc) and coordinated with our vendors. At the end of night, Richard and Jillian gave us 2 of our entrees "to-go" just in case we weren't able to eat during our reception, the top of our wedding cake all wrapped up and making it ready for us to just pop in our freezer, and all of the items we dropped off prior to our wedding to be set-up (cake topper, guest book, etc). They even packed our car with these items so we wouldn't forget!!

All of our vendors had already done weddings at The Palace and our florist stated that it was the most organized venue that it ever dealt with. The Palace is truly outstanding from it's gorgeous venue, superb staff, delectable food, and amazing service. We were always impressed with The Palace but nothing tops having our own wedding there. They truly treated us like royalty.

The palace at Somerset is very gorgeous. I had a blast, the people in there are amazing. There are 2 people in there that make my wedding awesome, it was beyond our expectations. Thanks to David Parada, and Ashley I will definitely celebrate my 10th years anniversary in there. Thanks once again guys, until we meet again.

Leaving this review as a vendor. Maya is absolutely amazing. You guys are lucky to have such a kind soul like her. The venue is absolutely amazing as well. Very friendly staff. I wish I could work here all the time.

Our daughter and future son in law were on a search for a venue for their wedding. One of the first stops they went to was The Palace and they kept on comparing all the other venues to it. In the end, they recommended The Palace and we went with their suggestion. As father of the bride, I m so happy we did. The staff was amazing! Here s an example of why I say that. My daughter decided on a floral stand that I needed to deliver to The Palace very early the morning of the wedding. I got there and asked the gentleman at the desk( I don t recall his name) if he could help me with the boxes of floral stands and he did. He could have blown me off but he didn t. He also saved the day with another problem. One of the groomsmen forgot his tie at home which was more than an hour away. I asked him if he had any maroon ties and he came back to us holding one in his hand. It just about matched perfectly. He came through again.
David was our maitre d and Stephanie was the bridal attendant. I never met two people that were so dedicated to making sure everything went well at my daughters wedding. My daughter had a money/ gift box that broke and we needed another one so I went to David and he had one that we could use in its place. He just didn t put it out but rather communicated via a device with Stephanie who asked my daughter if she was ok with the switch. She said yes and the new one was now in use. Incredible!!!
I later found out that 2 couples mistakenly drove to the wrong side of the Palace where another wedding was taking place. They gave their car to the attendant, checked their coats and looked around and said this doesn t look right. They told a worker that they were at the wrong wedding. David came over and escorted them to our wedding making sure the cars were moved and coats transferred. Again, incredible customer service. They kept the drink they got at the other wedding by the way. Lol.
The wedding ceremony was done at The Palace. It was spectacular!!! My daughter walking down the stairs to beautiful music and her dad (me) greeting her and walking her down the aisle is one vision I will never forget. It was a beautiful ceremony. Again, David and Stephanie making sure it was perfect.
The cocktail hour was incredible!!! Top shelf drinks and the food was over the top. And the service again was impeccable. Our main meal was even better from the salad to the appetizer to the main courses. And the desserts and after dinner drinks at the Venetian Table were so good. Hats off to all the kitchen staff!
But I keep coming back to the service. It was impeccable! Everyone that worked there made our daughter s wedding one for the ages. And if you re lucky enough to get David and Stephanie as your Maitre d and bridal attendant, just know that you are in extremely good hands. We certainly were!!!

Me and my wife just got married last weekend at The Palace and we could not have made a better choice on where to get married. Where do I begin? First off the bang for your buck that the Palace gives you FAR EXCEEDS any other venue (and there were quite a few) we visited. Christie and Jillian (the venues Sales/Wedding Planners) were great. Any area that they were able to cut costs or help us out, they did no fuss about it.
David and Gina (our maitre d s for the wedding) were absolutely fantastic. I literally called David the next day to let him know how much I appreciated his efforts and how happy my wife and I were with his service. David is extremely detailed and well organized, a true professional. He literally detailed out every step of the wedding from start to finish and has such a calm demeanor about him. Gina, who took care of my wife the whole wedding was so sweet and both went out of her way to make sure ANYTHING me or my wife wanted was covered. Whether it was food, or another scotch, or getting people for pictures, it was taken care of. We couldn't have asked for better people to oversee our wedding, and let me tell you, YOU WANT maitre'd's you get along with, it goes a long way in making your big day THAT much better.
As for the venue itself, our guests were stunned with the sheer size of The Palace. The groomsmen suite is HUGE and was basically a private bar with drinks and food (a huge sticking point when we chose this spot) and all my groomsmen LOVED it! The bridal suite is gorgeous and very spacious. The food (which you will barely eat, because your too busy getting married and having fun) I was told was fantastic as well from multiple guests. I could not believe after the wedding, how many of my guests told me the venue we chose was the best venue they've ever been to for a wedding, it really made me feel like we couldn't have made a better choice choosing The Palace.
I am not one to hold back either, if I see something I do not like or am not satisfied with, I would write about it, but this place did such a great job that I felt they should absolutely be recognized for their top efforts. They make it easy to write great reviews about because from the Venue to Staff, to price you cannot beat this place for a wedding venue!

Quality has gone down. Still decent, but food quality no longer has wow factor.

My husband and I got married on September 26, 2015. We have previously attended a wedding here 2 years prior. I knew as soon as we went to that wedding, this is where I would want to have ours. Still to this day, family and friends talk about how amazing the reception was. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The food, I can't even begin to talk about. Unfortunately, my husband and I did not eat that much but from our previous experience and what our guest kept talking about, the food was incredible. My parents who are big foodies were overly impressed by the food. I still can taste the gnocchi. YUM!
If you're looking for a venue that caters to all your needs and you want to have the most beautiful wedding, 100% book The Palace. Our DJ recommended to request Josh for a maitre d'. I personally can't thank Josh enough. He made everything perfect for us. He made sure we ate some food instead of take pictures all night long. He kept making sure we had enough to eat or drink. He showed us around to our Venetian hour, which we unfortunately didn't get to take part in. He made sure everything we wanted and needed was fulfilled. My bridal attendant Stephanie was awesome too. She literally ran up and down the steps all night to get anything I needed that my mom had with her. She helped me use the restrooms multiple times, always asking if I wanted another drink. She was by my side at all times, making me not worry about one thing. Everything to us was perfect!!
The whole planning experience for me was a piece of cake as well thanks to Cristina. She was on top of everything and even reminded me of things to do months before as well as weeks before the wedding. We truly can't thank the staff enough for making our wedding night so unforgettable and perfect. We just said it today in the car, we wish we could re-do our wedding all over again.

Great venue for a wedding or any other special occasion. The wait staff is so friendly and attentive!!! The set up is gorgeous! Loved it!

The Palace at Somerset Park is a beautiful venue! From getting ready to ceremony to reception. Tons of photo opportunities and a super accommodating staff that made my job as a photographer so easy.

We had an absolutely enchanting winter wedding reception at the Palace!!! The decor, ambiance, food, drinks, service and staff were all incredible! The Palace was so accommodating to us planning from out of state and it made wedding planning so much easier. They worked around our travel schedules for the tasting and planning meetings, and our planner Alexandra was always available via email to answer any question or concern we had. Customizing our cocktail hour menu to include more vegetarian items was also no problem! Any wish we had was granted. Richard was the most amazing Maitre D. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with every detail, and he was so on top of the schedule that we didn t have to worry about a single thing and could truly enjoy every minute of the night. We were able to attend our cocktail hour, eat our dinner, thank guests, and spent every other minute on the dance floor! Our bridal attendant Stephany was also such a joy. She brought us and our bridal party and families so much food in the bridal suite (a very delightful recharge to power through more picture taking, hah!), always made sure I had vegetarian options close by and that our drinks were always full, and even hid comfy shoes near our table that I could change into. At the end of the night, Richard helped pack away all our decor and sent us with boxes of food and desserts for the day after. We truly had such a perfect wedding day and a HUGE part of that is thanks to the Palace for being so accommodating and for taking care of every detail so perfectly that we didn t have to worry about a thing. The value of the Palace is incredible given how much food (PERFECTLY cooked chateaubriand according to our guests and my husband), drinks (top shelf and generous pours), decor (the Palace has beautiful holiday decor up during winter), and thoughtful service (planner, Maitre D, attendant, waitstaff) is included in the price! We would highly, highly recommend having your wedding reception here!!!

The Palace at Somerset Park made my DREAM wedding come to reality. Every single person working there puts their all into giving you the most perfect and stress-free day. The staff goes above and beyond to make feel important and on the wedding day, like royalty. Not to mention the place is absolutely stunning. From the reception hall, to the outdoor ceremony space and the grounds is breathtaking. After looking for the perfect place for my wedding and visiting a few other venues, The Palace is reasonably priced and you get so much for what you pay for!

Traci-Joan Muniz helped me plan the entire wedding and managed to ease my stress, always. No matter what the question or problem was, she answered it. She always managed to respond to my emails (which there was a lot, LOL) quickly and fully answered everything. I appreciate everything Traci has done for me and my wedding!!

Richard was my Maitre D and made my wedding run smoothly and perfect. He knew what he was doing and took care of everything for me! Having putting my dress on before the ceremony and noticing the straps were not fitting properly, him and Stephanie fixed it within minutes and you wouldn t even know anything was wrong (Not to mention, I didn t have any issues with them after they fixed it!)! He is very organized and truly helped me with everything that I needed.

Stephanie was my bridal attendant and was excellent. Any time I needed anything, the whole night, she was right there to help me. She is so sweet, and I couldn t thank her enough at the end of the night!

Having my wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park was everything I could have hoped for and more. There was absolutely nothing that I would have changed, and I am blessed to have had my wedding there. I can now look back at my wedding and remember how exceptional it was. The Palace was truly the wedding of my dreams!

As a wedding vendor, I always look forward to working at The Palace. Sure, the infrastructure looks amazing, but their top notch staff make all the difference in my opinion. I'm sure they treat their clients well, but they also take care of their vendors too. Special thank you to David and T.J. for helping me out on the night of my last wedding. Their assistance certainly played a great role in my success that evening. I rarely write reviews, but I felt that David and T.J. definitely earned a few good words for the Palace from me. As a client, you won't regret booking your event here!

The Palace at Somerset Park allowed my husband and I to have the fairy tale wedding of our dreams. From the stunning outdoor ceremony on the terrace, to the abundance of food during cocktail hour and dinner, to the over-the-top Viennese hour for dessert, to the breathtaking grand ballroom - this venue is worth every penny. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and delicious everything was on our wedding day! Of course, our day wouldn t have gone so well without the help of their wonderful staff, especially maitre d Richard and bridal attendant Stephanny. They knew what I needed before I even knew what I needed sometimes. Simply amazing!

Attended a wedding here Jan 2019 and thought it was really well done. Space was gorgeous and cocktail hour was fantastic. So many food choices. Staff was super attentive to guests; and I noticed they were always tidying up stray glasses and plates. Dinner service also well done. Has upper staircases and balcony for people who want to make an entrance to their affair. Thought it was a really beautiful venue.

The Palace at Somerset is a beautiful space, especially for cocktail hour. The outdoor patio at nigh is also amazing and had beautiful fires burning to keep the guests pleasant and toasty. Each staff member was great to work with and helped the couple have the perfect evening. They kept an eye out if anything was going down. Parking at this somerset wedding venue was incredibly easy. They had valet, but there was ample parking right next to the entrance. Overall the service and Food are superb and had an incredible time there.

Held my wedding here and couldn't be more happy with the decision. The staff are top notch and the food was superb. The venue is kept clean and up to date and offered an outdoor lounge area with fire pits and seating.

A nice event venue with multiple rooms and spacious areas to hold all events from Corporate meetings to weddings and other gatherings. Plenty of parking and the food and service are very good.

Attended a gala for Raritan Valley Community College foundation. The food and service were great. A wonderful venue to entertain 500 people.

I've attend multiple events at this venue. Very attractive facility. Large spaces and a feeling of "grandness" without being over the top. Lots of parking, well maintained grounds. Quiet location, visitors will need to travel a few miles to and from major roadways.

A little plain on the outside, but gorgeous on the inside. Food and atmosphere are wonderful, staff is kind and helpful, tons of parking. This venue also offers fireworks, which add a fun and unique experience for guests. I've attended everything from fundraisers, to weddings. to repasts here. Highly recommended.

I was here to photograph a wedding. The venue was gorgeous, the staff was friendly and professional, and the food was delicious. As Ferris Bueller would say "It is so choice, If you have the means I highly recommend it."

Just attended a wedding and a reception at this location. A very nice facility which understands its clientele's requirement and caters to the same appropriately.
The Indian wedding had its own uniqueness in the form of breakfast at a different hall followed by "baraat" which the staff at the facility handled beautifully. The Indian wedding was conducted in a fusion style with the Indian "mantap" style. Was quite impressed by the way all this was allowed/accommodated and also facilitated. Great job.
The evening reception was exceptional with the terrace presented out and the lights in the garden added to the ambiance.
Overall highly recommend this facility for any of your events.

I had my wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park approximately 2 weeks ago and it was nothing short of a dream! We picked this venue almost a year ago for the ambience and beauty of the physical location. However, seeing our vision come alive was an entirely different experience. The sheer beauty of our cocktail hour and West Ballroom was breathtaking and brought me to tears. The staff was amazing and I would like to give special recognition to our Maitre D, Josh and Bridal attendant Stephany! Let's just say several disasters were avoided because of them!! The night was organized and everything fell into place timing wise. Josh kept us alway reminded of time and was there to help with anything we needed. I highly encourage any newly engaged couple to utilize this venue! It was so easy to plan our event it took the stress out of everything!! Thank you for these precious memories you made our wedding everything and more!

The Palace delivered my dream wedding (no joke!). Planning was easy with the event planner (Alexandra and later Jillian). The food tasting was fantastic. The whole process was really not difficult.

For the day of the wedding, Maya was the bridal attendant and she really did a great job with making sure my husband and i were taken care of. The Maitre D Josh made sure everything was on schedule, the vendors did what they were supposed to do, pictures of everything were taken, and that we actually got to eat. The liquor was plentiful. The food was AMAZING. The place and its decor is really just stunning. I cannot say enough things about the Palace.

We had the ceremony here on the balcony and everything was just perfect with that as well. Very organized.

Price including ceremony, service charge, and tax was $209 per person. Minimum in the west house was 140 and the max was 185.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our extraordinary experience at The Palace at Somerset Park for our daughter s wedding on March 12, 2016. From our initial meeting with Jose, who explained all the essential wedding details to us and gave us a tour of the beautiful grounds, ballrooms, and bridal suite, to the moment our last guest left the reception and we, sadly, drove away, everything about the wedding at The Palace far exceeded perfect.



My husband and I are pretty down-to-earth people, and we don t care much about putting on appearances, but I must admit it felt amazing hearing all our guests raving about the food, service, staff and surroundings. Our guests were stunned at the variety, quality and quantity of the food, and the attentiveness of the staff, and we continue to hear raves about how wonderful the reception was. My 80-year-old aunt, who has attended a huge number of social events in her life, and is still extremely socially active, said it was the best event she had ever attended! We all wish we could be invited to another wedding at The Palace just so we could experience everything all over again!

My nephew had his wedding here March 2019 and it is just beautiful. The food was amazing and all the staff were friendly and professional. We loved the outdoor patio space and the fire tables!
