They could use better lighting along the pathway to and from the lake and Tiki bar. Also could use better lighting in the Tiki. Staff was friendly. Pillows were way too soft and flat. The pillows could be firmer. Could put some firm pillows and some soft pillows in rooms. Staff was helpful. Grounds were nice.

I was there for a conference and enjoyed the use of one of their Woodland Suites. It was a beautiful one bedroom apt. with a fireplace, small outside balcony and a full kitchen. Very clean and beautifully appointed. The conference was great too. Very well organized. And the location of the resort is spectacular. Rather off the beaten path but that is what makes it great. On Elkhart lake in rural eastern Wisconsin, beautiful area. You won't be disappointed!

The room did not have A/C in the bedroom, it was very unpleasant. The place is run by inexperience young people that have no idea what are doing. I want to have a reservation at 7 at the restaurant and they did not want to give me the time that I need it so we where there as earlier as they ask us to find out ther wher not busy at all!!!!

Beautiful grounds. Ample swimming pools. Resort has old world feel with many nooks and wooden accents. Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. One bedroom without air conditioning. This was not expected at a resort of this caliber. Front desk service not so good. 5 star without these issues.

Hotel rooms are huge and well appointed. The grounds are nicely kept and there is plenty of options for casual dinning both at the hotel and a short walk away. The tiki bar, Lake Street cafe and back porch bistro were among my favorites.

Beautiful resort. Well appointed rooms/suites. Two nice restaurants. Their Christmas market and cooking classes are wonderful. Landscaping in the spring, summer and fall is beautiful. Pretty lake with many activities. This is one of our favorite spots. Some areas of the resort, especially the main building, are showing their age. The carpet on the ground floor needs to be replaced.

Beautiful resort on the water. Good food and service. Nice selection of beers. Both things we requested up to our room were very speedy. Staff should know the property better and consistently know and refer to entrances commonly (check-in told us to go to "door E" and spa ppl had no idea what that was). Food and drinks are all reasonably priced, including rentals and Merchandise in the store!

Our family shared Thanksgiving dinner at the Ostoff Resort dining room. This has become a tradition for us for Easter as well. The food is always fresh. We love the Eggs Benedict and fresh shrimp especially. It's an hour and a half drive for us, but so worth it.

The Osthoff is a great place. My son just had his wedding and reception there this past weekend.
We checked in on Friday and stayed until Tuesday, we were sorry we had to leave. We rented a 3 bedroom condo on the 4th floor and it was great, a view of the lake and a balcony. We chartered a boat on the lake on Friday that could hold 30 people, Captain Jim did a great job and was very entertaining. This was one of the best weddings I have attended. But all of my kids have great weddings.
The whole staff at The Osthoff was great. You should definitely try it out, you'll love it.

Over the course of 15 years myself and my wife have visited the osthoff many times and stayed for jazz on the vine and always had a fantastic time. Very friendly staff and well-kept property. I recommend this Resort highly.

The rooms were super nice and spacious and looked well taken care of. The huge bath in the bathroom was also amazing along with the shower. The spa had amazing smoothies and services and was perfectly relaxing.

Wow! Fancy resort with friendly staff, BUT prices not so friendly for retired guests or hard working families. Disappointed with lack of trash cans in a 2bedroom suite. Good kitchen facility, but there were no paper towels any where. Oversight or not provided?? even though there were only 2 kitchen towels & one dishrag. As a silver owner with club Wyndham, I felt the resort experience wasn't up to the same standards that I know from other resort stays I've had with Club Wyndham properties.

We spent a night here. My wife seemed to like the spa. The room was nice and the bathroom had a great Jacuzzi. Check in is at 4pm which seems to be absurdly late in the day for a check in but I was allowed to check in 2 hours early. It may have been the weekend we were here, but the parking lot was completely full, with people parking on the street. Street parking is only allowed during the day so the only spot we could find was in a distant parking lot. It wasn't too far away even with a 3 year old and even though there aren't any shoveled sidewalks connecting to it, but it was apparent that the people attending whatever women's event that was staged there weren't actually guests at the hotel, so people who were actually paying to stay there had no place to park. The food was also fairly mediocre at Otto's. Their game room was full of defective games, including the pool table which was absolutely useless other than consuming quarters. This probably doesn't matter to most people but I was looking forward to playing games with my wife and kid, and I also have a lot of memories as a kid playing pool at the various resorts/campgrounds we stayed at. This kinda ruined that. The Spectrum link seemed to be saturated, it literally took over 60 seconds just to pull up the cable menu which means they aren't paying enough to accommodate the amount of people using the connectivity. All in all it was ok, not sure if I'll be back.

Great staff that are very friendly. Each room is a mini condo that somebody owns and the resort does the upkeep. My room had a really comfy bed. Only complaint was the pillows were too soft.

We stayed at this resort for only 3 nights during an extended, relaxed weekend. The resort itself had fairly dated interior and needs a face lift, but the rest of the property is gorgeous.

The suite was huge with a full kitchen (we chose to cook because the food prices were outrageous when ordering through the hotel), including a grill on the patio. Rooms were spacious and had ample storage, and the bathroom had a Jacuzzi.

The beach on the resort was small and a bit crowded, but once we found a spot that opened up,it was relaxing just laying next to the lake. We also rented a canoe to paddle around the lake which was cheap compared the cost of the rest of the available options to do at the resort.

My suggestion: use the resort as a home base to sleep, lay on the beach, suntan, and canoe, and use the kitchen to save on meals, to spend the money in the adorable adjacent towns.

The worst experience I have ever had at a hotel! My husband and I were there for his annual Christmas party and decided to get a Room to save some driving time.1st issue: got into the Room and found cobwebs everywhere all over the light fixtures and just randomly hanging from the ceiling, they were extremely noticeabl. contacted housekeeping and had them clean them up. Later on that night i ironed my husband's dress shirt before the party & there iron put burn stains all over his shirt! Again i had to contact the front desk, luckily their laundry service was able to get the burn stains out but did a horrible job re-ironing the shirt and I had no time to fix it as the party was about to begi. The next morning I woke up and brewed a pot of coffee just to find that the coffee went all over the counter down the cupboards and onto the floor because I was a crack in the coffee pot, contacted front desk yet again and asked that they have Room service bring a pot of coffee up to the room. An hour goes by and no coffee has been delivered! My husband and I are extremely upset we go down to the front desk and they tell us after we called they forgot the room number! They tell us just to go over to their bar and get a coffee drink on them, fine. After all this we decided to check out. When I go out to check out I tell the lady I had a horrible time & before i can say anything elae she cuts me off and she goes "yes I see you've had some issues but I hope you have a great day" and turn away! No one ever offers us any condolences, not a single employee in all the issues that we had even apologized one time, or offered to do anything to fix it except for laundering the shirt! Some of the worst customer service i have eve had!

Beautiful landscaping and views with a friendly staff. Indoor and outoor pools with a small beach. Perfect for families. Reserve in advance if you have a group. Nice choice of room configurations and a short walk to the tiny town that includes Saturday morning artisian and farmer's markets. In nearby Plymouth you can take a stroll on a street with lots of antiques and second hand shops. Lots of activities at the resort include boat rentals of every kind and free evening s'mores. Sundays there are no motors on the lake, and I like to swim the mile across. Some people prefer to walk all the way around it or just sit and look at how pretty it is. It is the perfect size for all the above and just an hour north of Milwaukee.

Nice

We stayed at the resort for my wife's 40th birthday. The spa was the main reason for the choice of this resort but we were pleasantly happy with the accommodations. The town was very quaint and central to many conveniences (via auto). We came in early spring prior to Easter but I could see us coming back during the summer timeframe.

The spa services and amenities were top notch although they had computer glitches, which were unexpected.

Overall excellent stay for a good value. I would come back to stay at this resort again.

Was there for Labor Day, this place is fantastic...but it must of fell pray to employees calling off or something. Services opened late or were cancelled, and the restaurant Otto's had some slow service. It's a great resort and, it was just a bit disappointing of an experience.
