Over a year ago, before being diagnosed with MS, my friend told me to book the 30th Nov in the diary for my Christmas present: glassblowing. Well, it's been quite a year and there were definitely times we didn't think I'd MS it- I have been unable to move my left arm or leg at all. I phoned up to check access arrangements and they were really clear and helpful. We managed to get there in the wheelchair. Even when we got there I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to manage when I saw the demo but I felt completely involved and at ease. Charlie was fantastic at letting me try first to see how much I could manage on my own and adapting to suit my abilities- but he did a lot of the hard work. I walk a bit with a stick so couldn't stand and hold it. My left arm is weak so I need an adapter on my steering wheel but could still join in with my right hand. Thoroughly good fun! Even if you need access arrangements you can go glassblowing too!

Superb tutoring, all very well explained in a calm and patient approach. Lots of encouragement and praise, pointers and help when needed but not too much to overload while you worked. A great exp, thoroughly enjoyed.

Wow! What an experience! My kids bought me a taster session and I could not have enjoyed it more. The guys were absolutely lovely, welcoming and really knew their stuff. I made some items after the personal teaching I received and was surprised and delighted at just how demanding the whole process was. Two and a half challenging hours flew by, but at the end I really felt I had achieved one of my ambitions to properly have a go at glass blowing. I cannot recommend them highly enough if you want a real experience if glass blowing in a proper workshop. 5 stars.

Awful company. I traced them through a country fayre advertisement. We emailed a few times. It was arranged I met them at the fayre. I wanted a simple glass dome for a lamp that had broken. I took the mechanism, I made a drawing of what I needed. I felt I explained exactly what was needed. It wasn't rocket science. It was agreed they could help me. They kept the mechanism in order to be able to blow the dome to the right size. I paid the agreed sum in full. I checked the website to see most orders took two months. This was Sept. After 2 months I emailed several times, never getting a reply. (Totally different when they wanted my business.) I had to call from several different mobile numbers because it seemed once I rang on one number he never answered again. Always an excuse, a Fayre coming up, I have been in hospital. I understand that can't be helped but why answer a phone and 3 weeks after coming home I'm still chasing. Big order, etc etc. I notified him I moved in hope to get him up. In the end I had to get a bit tough in an email. It was sent eventually. To my old address. Nightmare as I'd changed my documents to new place so getting it was hard. It's completely wrong, I can't use it. He couldn't of got it more wrong. Nothing like my drawing, waste of time giving him the mechanism. Iv emailed a VERY polite email saying its wrong, can I send it back. No response. Suprise Suprise. I am sure a reply with excuses will appear. But truly I did everything in my power to keep in contact being almost apologetic for chasing. I would not recommend ever. Awful way to treat a customer

Superb demonstration at Hatfield House. Began to pour , took shelter in this marquee. Stroke of luck . Incredible display of workmanship and the transformation process . Mesmerising . So lucky that it rained.

What an absolutely incredible place. Amazing family and outstanding tuition. Glass blowing can be daunting but Charlie really out my mind at ease and helped me get the most of the experience. Will definitely be doing it again. If you're on the fence about trying this experience don't hesitate. Loved every second and the family are so welcoming and inviting. Good luck with the new little one guys.

Charlie and Amy gave a fantastic introductory course on glass blowing. We were working with the glass much of the day, finishing with the creation of a vase. A huge learning curve, but well worthwhile.
