Located between Fort William and Glencoe, this 3 star hotel has a friendly staff and offers a good breakfast. Pitifully, the room I have ocuped had a terrible bed and an old-looking bathroom with an almost unusable shower. The TV was ridiculously small but works well. The hallway to my room was smelly and the walls were half painted and full of humidity.

Just spent 3 nights at this 'hotel', unfortunately and stupidly (I know) paid on booking or would gave turned round and walked out immediately. The images of rooms, etc. on website do not in anyway reflect what you actually get. We have never stayed in such a run down hotel ever. The pictures below were taken during our stay and are genuine. There were other things which were tired and unsafe and please take a torch with you as there was no lighting in the carpark when it gets dark. The b&b cost for 3 nights was obscene for what you got. The only reason it's gets 1star is because the majority of staff where friendly, really helpful and are trying their best but it is not their fault the owner has it open in such a condition. PS - the scenery however is fantastic.

The worst experience of my life, disconnected furniture, mold on the walls, disgusting smells of food all over the hotel, the horrible mattress, dirty and old carpet ... I can not say anything good, nothing to do with the photos they publish in your web

Great price for a lovely hotel. Got there with really rubbish weather but the hotel was cosy and welcoming. Staff were great and the rooms lovely, a great big comfy double bed. Bathroom was a little dated but was clean and that's all that really mattered.

A bit expensive.

Onich and Ballachulish are in a beautiful part of Scotland with gorgeous scenery. However, based on our experience, don't stay at the Onich Hotel. If I used the word "tired", it would be a huge compliment. The rooms were dirty, bathrooms grimy and had poor fittings (tap trickled all night), beds not comfortable, high traffic noise through the thin walls... and service with an attitude to top it off. I attach one photo showing the disgusting bathroom wall/ceiling.

Nice hotel and views. Room was great exept from the road noise as we were at the back of the hotel and the room shook when lorrys went past. Very clean and comfortable. Scenery was outstanding.

Overall the hotel is nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but the facilities were acceptable. We had a very nice view out of the window in the morning. The staff were generally very helpful. We would especially like to commend one of them. We do not his name but he had a viking-style ponytail and shaved sides and top. He was very efficient and friendly. We hope he gets a pay-rise. On the other-hand, the receptionist was a bit clueless. It took him a while to find our booking and he kept forgetting which rooms we were in.

Hotel could do with an upgrade aswell as overall customer service. Paint was peeling off walls and wasn't too impressed with the bathroom, could do with an updated shower and better lighting.
We made a booking at this hotel when they had a wedding on. They closed the restaurant for all other paying guests without even informing us when we made the booking. They didn't even tell us when we checked in. Came back from a full day out to find we couldn't even eat in the hotel and had to try find somewhere nearby which was limited given the location. Thought this was really bad customer service and slightly disrespectful of all other paying guests.
They didn't have all tables set up at breakfast. The girl came to take our order for cooked breakfast, told us to help ourselves to the continental yet we had to ask several times for cutlery to be brought over. Then when breakfast came our table was full of plates/bowls from the continental and the staff just squished the cooked breakfast on the table and didn't even clear away the stuff we were finished with. Small things like that just add up to create a disappointing overall customer service.
Glad we were only staying for 2 nights as I would not have liked to have stayed there for any longer. We were lucky enough to have a slight view of the Loch which was lovely but we weren't really in the room long enough to enjoy it.

Excellent staff (Jessica) and easy to deal with. Made a potentially difficult and expensive situation very different. Would definitely recommend. Lovely location and others could learn a lot about customer service. Recommended.

Poor service, room sub standard, the staff weren't very helpful, it was cold and wow! The prices were far too high for the level of service you got! Yes the views were amazing, stood outside, not when you have a flat roof to stare at! Hardly and drinks available at the bar! Certainly will never recommend this place to anyone

Wonderful location on the shore of the Sea Loch. Twin room ample size. Bathroom has bath and shower. All you can eat hot and cold breakfast. Restaurant food was very good but booking a table is recommended as it can get busy. Decent choice of beer including real ale, and a lots of whiskies.

We had the most fabulous time at this hotel. Views were stunning and lovely to wake up to. Room was huge with plenty of storage and spotless. Staff were great and chatty. Food was excellent we were really impressed. Service was excellent as well especially during a pandemic. All very well organised. Will definatley be returning soon. Thanks for your hospitality

Despite being the only guests in the place the [surprised] chap on reception made us a coffee with some biscuits.

Staff are friendly and the hotel isn't expensive to stay at too.

Traditional but super clean, food in the restaurant was pretty good too especially the steak and ale pie.

Only popped in for a drink. Staff was friendly but not chatty. It wasn't late but it was apparent they would be closing when the last of their dinner guests finished up, which they did. Atmosphere was quaint but very tired. On the upside, decent whisky selection and prices were fair.
