The Old Quarter is a great option if you re not sure what you re in the mood for - there s a huge selection of delicious dishes and most of them are perfect for sharing. You could probably pick randomly while blindfolded and still come out more than satisfied. Among our most recent choices were pork belly bao buns, beef short rib, black tiger prawns, seasonal veges, and duck salad. Add in a couple of cocktails and we were well sorted! The speedy service is a definite bonus.
We just got some bao buns and caramelised pork delivered with Uber eats. Wow! This was amazing! So much flavour! Crispy, sticky, moist, soft, fresh. Every bite was on point. I ll definitely be going in for more.
We ve been here a few times and it s consistently great. Today they outdid themselves with the Festival dish.
Staff are fab - onto it, friendly and knowledgeable.
One of my Wellington faves for sure.
Busy spring first or book so you aren t disappointed
Beef short ribs were delicious, tender and a generous serving, great dish for sharing. Rest of the food looked great! Would recommend. However, the cocktail I had was a miss. Stick to wine or beer.
Delicious food! Crab bao, chicken & shitake dumplings, sirloin salad & the lychini (Lychi martini) were amazing!
All six of us thoroughly enjoyed the food that we shared.
Food was awesome! Staff seemed to have a hard time smiling though.
Had a fantastic dinner sharing between three people. Food was incredibly tasty, Sapparo beer on tap and a good atmosphere. Will be eating here again very soon
Fresh and surprising food with great depth. The cocktails are delicious too!
Absolutely brilliant food. Recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. Food was very quick out, priced very well and tasted delicious. Highly recommended.
Great food, awesome service and fabulous atmosphere. Extensive drink and food menu, staff were very attentive and accommodating; really appreciated their assistance with our allergy kid. Looking forward to our next meal here.
Great lunch specials that let you sample a few different things, all beautifully presented
Great food good service just a the value for money was a little off.
Super vegan options! We had the summer rolls, bao, and vegan green curry, definitely 5 stars. Lemongrass and coconut milk strong and yum :) Would be happy to come here again.
My new favourite restaurant in Wellington !
Amazing tasty food, great service with very helpful guidance from our waitress. Decoration and atmosphere were also really enjoyable ! Everything was great. But the beef... omg... so niiiiice the Rare Beef Pho is my recommendation !
Awesome10/10 lunch! Great service and selection available. Recommended!
Incredible :) Bao buns selections the best, pork belly and short ribs rarely equalled anywhere
Couldn't recommend this place enough, came here on Easter Monday and the place was packed. Saw several groups turned away because of how busy it was.
Really great little cosy restaurant, the Vietnamese food was so good made with fresh products. You also have vegan or vegetarian options. Nice friendly staff.
This place used to be good, but I wouldn't rate it anymore. Thier standards have dropped significantly, but the waiter was kinda funny when he subtly gave us the bill after being there 2 hours. Unlikely to return.
They advertised 50% take aways promo for Tuesday-Thursday but their website was down for Wednesday and Thursday? Why advertise promos without intending to actually honour it? Its false advertising! I rang them and they said theres nothing they 'can' do as its for online purchases only and their website had crashed (probably not true) - meaning they wouldn't even accept call orders! Absolutely appalled a business can actually do this.
Great Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Wellington. The food was awesome. Friendly staff and ambience was great. Good prices and affordable.
Beautiful food, friendly staff and excellent beer on tap. I'll definitely come here again. The Vietnamese food here is medium price but really very good. Check it out!
This place is new in Dixon Street. We ordered shared plates of Bun Cha Hanoi and Caramelized pork belly and salad and they were melt in the mouth. So beautiful and so tasty. I very well recommended this place to everyone. I'll love to go there often.
Flavourful food! Our waiter who ended up being the owner knew his stuff!!!
Went for Dumplings, Bun Cha Hanoi and Beef Curry with Rice which was plenty for 3 people.
Would love to give more stars but I wasn't impressed. Staff were lovely and very accomadating but the food for me anyways was very bland. I ordered the tofu bao and the veggie dumplings and in both cases, if it wasn't for the sauce it wouldn't have had any flavour. My friend had the beef rib and loved it but the veggie options for me very below par. I have a voucher with the entertainment book, but unfortunately won't be back.
Just had a Delishhh dinner here :P Chicken Curry and Duck Curry were great. I also ordered a Mimosa which was very nice too.
But the reason I gave it a 4/5 is that I expect to receive either rice or bread when ordering a Curry but in this case we had to order the rice separately. I'd rather to pay a few bucks more for the meal to include plain rice at least (although it would only cost the restaurant a very small amount).
Fantastic Vietnamese! Lunch menu for $ 15. Too bad he is a good 30 hours flight away from me.
If your going you have to try the beautiful espresso martini with a Vietnamese twist.
I love the creamy chicken curry here!
Best to book as its always busy, super fast service and amazing friendly staff :)
Great food, great flavours and the meals are ideal for sharing.
Great little place for dinner - tasty food, good menu and drinks and good service as well. Recommend!
Amazing, everything packed with flavour, service was relaxed but on point, super friendly.
Food was to die for and the drink was amazing must try - looks like dragonfruit!
Ordered some food and after a little mix up they did a second delivery without charge. The bao buns and chicken and mango salad were absolutely amazing. Love this place!
One of my favorite places to have an affordable, delicious meal! Vietnamese done well, so tasty. Pork bao is my go to
Great service and food! We were running slightly late and the staff were happy to move our reservation. The wait staff were attentive to the right degree, making sure we had ordered and checking in to make sure we were happy with meals. They provided good recommendations. The food came out quickly and was really tasty. We ended up getting lots of little plates to share and every dish was excellent. I d definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back.
So busy by everyday n lucky to have earlier bookings or else walk in not ok... luvs the place on r stoolbars, yummy foods n luvly staff(s) ae!
Nice food but overpriced for what you get. Bad cocktails. Come for food, not drinks.
Our entrance into the old quarter was not the most memorable experience; the thin, tall, blonde man that asked if we wanted a table and then found something better to do other than seat is was a good indicator of what was to come. Holier-than-thou ghap yah students serve with the insolence of one just cut off by their parents through the veil of a business trying to make Vietnamese trendy whilst surrounded by actual Vietnamese cafes. Good luck to the management 4/10, see me.
Great little spot, with amazing food, drink and service. Will definitely be back and recommending to anyone coming to Wellington
Fantastic! Loved it! Want to go back again!Great food and service! Love the atmosphere too!
Acoustics are off, very loud when full, FOH service all over the show, food came in weird intervals, food was tasty but that was the best thing.
Super great staff and super great food. I've never left disappointed or unhappy, keep it up guys!
It's like going to Chow, but cheap and your food comes out fast. A+
We ordered a soup pho and a chicken creamy curry with coconut rice and everything was excellent !!! :D
Update after several orders: we found a fly in the rice and the week after, we found a hair :(
Yummy food. Tasty nems. Reasonnable prices. Pretty busy place.
Really delicious food. Good prices too. I Will definitely be making sure I come here often. The only thing is I wish I had found this place sooner
Ok vegan options. Vegan feast is $40 each and is A L O T of food
Old? Hardly. Quarter? Worth every buck.
Zoe and my experience here exceeded our expectations. For two indecisive people this restaurant provided our full needs. Absolutely will be coming back here to try more dishes and drinks. We went with the duck pineapple curry and duck orange salad. .
Amazing food and great variety for all diets
We were a group of 14 but the service was swift and fautless
Atmosphere was fine, the bao meals looked fine, but i ordered Grandmas beef curry. Grandma should stick to knitting.
Super friendly staff and incredible delicious food! Would definitely recommend it! The vegan dishes are fantastic!
Amazing food and service little over priced but a must visit.
Great vibe, great food, reasonable prices, very friendly staff. This is my new favourite Vietnamese cafe.
First time in Wellington, first restaurant and I have to say it was amazing. Friendly staff, recommend putting down a reservation.
Food is amazing
Ridiculously trendy and full, but great take on Vietnamese classics
Great Asian fusion restaurant. Everything on the menu is a hit, just don't expect to leave with a full wallet
Went there for first time with my girlfriend birthday and friends. Food was nice and not to expensive..Although NOT BYO but licenced and bottle of wine was expensive . Would have second thoughts on revisiting
Friendly staff and great atmosphere, I'm not normally a fan of fusion/modern Asian dining, but the food here is definitely a winner+ the watermelon mojito was super refreshing.
Excellent place for a casual dinner - the food was fresh and vibrant, service was speedy, and atmosphere really fun and relaxed! We would definitely recommend the soft shell crab bao, duck salad, and bahn xeo pancake... maybe give the tartare a miss though as it was a tad bland!
Commendable take on hipster Vietnamese. Food was super fresh and flavorsome. Fun vibes.
Amazing food everytime. Love their $15 lunch special, the hanoi meal is amazing. Always so fresh & tasty. Would eat there everyday if my bank balance allowed me. Keep up the great food!
We have enjoyed a couple of really great meals here over the past couple of months (Oct/Dec), firstly as a couple, then as a group of 5. Both times, we have been well impressed with the variety of flavours and textures on offer, with each dish vying for favourite of the night. The bao buns are essential to start off the night on a high note. On the last outing, we had the pork, BBQ chicken, crab and eggplant baos, chicken wings, chicken dumplings, zucchini fritters, pork spare ribs, mango salad, Banh Xeo pancakes, bun cha Hanoi, creamy chicken curry, and shaking beef sirloin.
