The staff is extremely polite and so nice and also gives good service. I love the traditional scenery with all the greens and water scapes. They got a nice eatery, spa and beach/pool setting. I think it is the best resort around the beach

Best service and food in Bali. The breakfast is incredible with ocean view. You are truly pampered and treated like royalty. Dinner at the oberoi is a must- a culinary experience!!!

Spent my honeymoon here and I absolutely love this place! Every member of the staff is so friendly and hospitable with a big smile on their face. Starting from the welcome we knew we were in for a treat. The resort itself is so beautiful that we felt sad when checking out. Also we were given a congratulatory cake for our wedding with a teddy bear and a such a well written card that my wife actually got emotional. We then headed out to the the lobby to thank the staff who organised it. We came back with so much tiredness but after seeing that surprise it just made our day! I cannot thank you enough to each and everyone of the staff who made our honeymoon so beautiful and memorable! Best wishes to everyone!

Fantastic, from check in to checkout. The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly and can not do enough for you. We were addressed by name for the duration, it's amazing how quickly the staff know and remember you. We also had an opportunity to talk to the manager, it's always good to get the personal touch.
I will book here when returning to Bali, and I'd certainly recommend it

The staff are always amazing here. If you ask the staff how long they have been there for and they say anything less than 7 years, they are the new guys. People have literally been here 25 and 30 years. To me this shows me that the company looks after their staff, and in turn the staff looks after the company.
The view from the front foyer area out to the ocean is amazing. It s not s bad place to be a concierge. Nice office.

We visited this hotel twice in Bali, previously in India and we are very excited. As a European, the many controls are unusual but you get used to it very quickly .
Great pool wonderful environment. Everyone is struggling with the garbage in Bali by the sea, here in the hotel is actively cleaned to keep the beach clean. Recommendation is valid in every case!

If you read this review to see if you'd like to stay at the Oberoi then yes, yes you absolutely do want to and if you want to know why then read on.
I will try to keep this brief. Stayed for 5 nights/6 days in March 2020. Hotel reasonably quiet due to covid scare in the world. I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels but this tops them all for one reason, the staff. They went out their way to be as friendly, helpful, respectful, as they could be. Two members of staff stood out (Gita and Indah) at the restaurant. They remembered what we had to drink and were very helpful. So were all the staff, I only remembered their names though.
The small touches also set it head and shoulders above other hotels. Things like, water sunscreen and water spray at your lounger which a staff member helpfully sets for you once you choose one. They also clean your sunglasses and bring frozen ice treats and fruit skewers to your lounger. Regular checks to see if you need anything also.
FOOD. The restaurant was amazing. I'll leave it at that. Slightly overpriced for Bali but we ate in there 5 out of 6 nights. It was that good that the price didn't matter (no I'm not rich). Free afternoon tea which was nice with a small selection of food and drinks. Breakfast was lovely too overlooking the beach with a fantastic selection for every taste.
SPA. Wife used it, said it was amazing. About 150 gbp for 2.5hrs.
We also had a special birthday and wedding anniversary (same day). A card and cake and decorations were provided by the hotel (free of charge) and all staff wished us the best throughout the day.
The hotel is what I'd say was my idea of a luxury balinese resort. Its not a new place, been around for decades and its almost like staying in a castle with old parts to it mixed in with new. I hope that makes sense and it is meant as a compliment.
The beach isn't owned by the hotel and tbh I have seen far nicer but its not bad and was never busy. You're only footsteps away from the beach from the pool.
Again, go if you can, if there are any bad reviews then don't listen to them, it'll just be someone being ultra picky. I've included some pictures if you're still undecided.

It is still the best hotel in Seminyak. The service is impeccable. It is quiet and a wonderful place to relax. I've been about 5 times and never had bad service. It is in a great location with easy access to all the great restaurants and shops in Seminyak.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms (Lani's) are so spacious. Everything and more that you need is there.
Every communal area is immaculate and they really add those touches of luxury in all areas.
We were bed and breakfast and I can say the quality of the food was consistently great with a large choice.
Entertainment each night and a leaflet left nightly at turndown service to tell you what it will be.
The pool area has everything you need, luxury towels, comfortable beds, a tray which contains face mist, sun cream, cold towels and an endless supply of cold bottled water.
The hotel is well positioned in Seminyak and offers daily shuttle services (not that you need it you can walk to good restaurants and bars).
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bali......... we loved it

Quite simply the best hotel we have ever and may ever stay in! Located next to the sea/beach, the service is exceptional, all the staff are polite and helpful for any request 24/7. The food was amazing and free afternoon tea and snacks every day were just another bonus!
The rooms were cleaned at least twice a day with fresh towels/bed linen if needed, bottles of water replenished and a lovely welcome cake for our honeymoon on arrival.
We could not recommend this hotel more, if you are staying in Bali, then head to Seminyak just to stay at this hotel!

Unfortunately horrible experience here. Our first room smelled like rotting pond water so they moved us to a different villa on the other side of the resort. That room was nicer but had a broken AC that caused the room to be so humid that the ceiling was literally dripping wet; so much so that I almost slipped and fell on the stone tiles. It is an old hotel and it shows - they could use some major upgrades - not at all what you would expect for a $600/night place in Bali. That ordeal was enough so we packed our things and moved to a different resort the same night we arrived.
To their credit, that staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating, which is what earns this two stars.
I stayed at Oberoi for 7 nights. The staff is super friendly and very attentive, and the resort surroundings are amazing. The facilities are good and I enjoyed a workout at the gym which has beautiful view.
Unfortunately, after 2 days me and my wife got Bali belly (severe gastroenteritis) and that completely ruined our stay - we had diarrhea, stomach pain and high fever. I have to mention that we ate only at the resort and we swam only at the resort s pool, so probably there was something wrong with the food or water from the resort s restaurant. Taking into consideration that it is a 5 star resort and with huge prices for food, I find it unacceptable to get sick from eating there, thus my 2 star review.
The scenery is really nice. Very close to the beach. The food is not very well understood because most of them eat white. The price is not too good, but it's definitely mehong because this is a 5 star restaurant he said. just google maps
