Pondok Santi Resorts Estate Review

It was nice to be away from the downtown and relaxed and quiet. I stayed for 6 days and the birds heard every morning were good. Private beach was good, too and was convenient. The staff were all friendly and friendly. And the hotel security staff was always watching customers and was safe on the beach. Once I was out of sight in the company of a group of people surfing on the beach, I rushed to the street and started looking for a party. Manager went out to search the sea. I would like to say that it is the best in Gili. Of course, breakfast, lunch, dinner were all satisfied. The price is a bit expensive, but it is delicious.

Very nice beach with many 'pools' where you can swim. Friendly staff, clean beach restaurant and prices in line with those of the other reports. Too bad that to reach the sea you have to walk a little.

OMG the food was superb, best ever on Gili T so far. I live in Bali and have been coming to Gili T quite often over the years and felt this place has really tipped the scales. The portions were really massive, i dare say almost too big, (if that's a bad thing) We shared a couple of tapas plates, and triple fried chips and that was enough. I'd recommend going with a few people and sharing everything. Also a lovely hangout on the hammocks is recommended post meal Enjoy

The place is really something for itself. Beautiful and very clean. Then they really make drinks.

Their food is very good but exceedingly expensive compared to the rest of the island!

Absolutely not worth the price. So far from everything and we had no electricity so couldn t do anything. Also there was no blanket! That was a bit funny to get a thin piece of sheet for 2.5 million per night

We didn t stay here but we used the day beds on the beach. The staff were great! and this place probably has the best wifi on the island. Such a good spot to relax!

Friendly and very spacious room. The ocean view doesn't look very close to the sea, so if you want to stay private, the garden view is better.

Just a 15-minute fast boat ride from Lombok, Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three Gili islands. The pace of life is relaxed here there are no cars or motorbikes on the island.

Horse-drawn carts or cidomos can take you wherever you need to go, but the island is small enough to get around by bike or on foot. Most of the action on the island is centred around a 2km stretch of beachfront just 400m from Pondok Santi. If you want to party, this is the place to go bars take it in turns hosting nightly events and there s always a beach barbeque on the go. Along the beachfront, you ll find ample restaurants, beach bars, boutique shops, spas and dive shops as well as a produce market which arrives by boat every morning even if you don t plan on buying, it s worth going along for a look!

Pondok Santi offers a spacious and secluded haven from the hustle and bustle of Gili Trawangan s main strip so you can truly get the best of both worlds on the island.

Getting to Pondok Santi Estate.

Once you ve arrived on Gili Trawangan you will be met by one of our guest relation supervisors who will assist you with your luggage and getting a 5-minute Cidomo horse cart ride to Pondok Santi Estate where you will be greeted with a complimentary welcome drink and ice-cold towel.

VIA DENPASAR, SANUR, NUSA DUA, KUTA, SEMINYAK, CANGGU AREA

There are many companies offering fast boat services to Gili Trawangan with all boats departing between 8.30 and 11.00am.

We recommend catching an early boat as the sea is normally calmer.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Bali between 7-8am and go direct to Serangan Harbour, which is a 2.5-hour boat ride to Gili Trawangan.

For this service we recommend Blue water Express and Wan Gobel Express

*Please note that if the date of your return trip to Bali is on the same day of your international departure flight, more fast boat operators can insure delivery to Denpasar International Airport after 6pm.

VIA LOMBOK

If you are staying on Lombok you can either depart from Senggigi Harbour by fast boat, or taxi direct to Teluk Nara and fast boat from there to Gili Trawangan in 15 minutes.

For this service we recommend booking your fast boat transport through Pondok Santi, as our preferred operator is a small, locally-managed service.

VIA LOMBOK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Regular daily flights arrive from Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and four times per week direct from Singapore. You will be met by one of our drivers at the airport who will assist you with your luggage, then travel a 1.5-hour drive to Teluk Kodek Harbour.

From Teluk Kodek you can either take a convenient 15-minute fast boat ride, or travel at a more leisurely pace in luxury on the Pondok Santi Outrigger Boat, Princess Margaux .

It was a dream, we only wanted to stay two nights and then extended again. Very attentive and friendly staff. Bicycles and kayak, etc. may be used free of charge.

We had dinner last night. We had a great time. The table was practically on the shore. Impeccable service. Cured dishes. We will definitely be back

Fantastic locale and grounds. The beach is probably as good as any at Trawangan but both the staff and the Garden Villa we stayed in were just superb! The only slight detraction was the quality of food which was a little bit hit and miss plus there was a lack of diversity at breakfast, but then this is a small boutique resort with not many guests, so we reasoned that there wasn't a large enough guest base to allow more options. Apart from that it's probably one of the nicest places to stay on the island with a great vibe and we thoroughly recommend anyone to stay and enjoy it yourself.

I have just returned from an amazing few days at Pondok Santi - in a word it was ''Surreal''.

The Estate itself is a huge open space, where you can get away from the buzz of the island yet still be just minutes from the action if you wish to get out and explore.





Staff; Everyone from the Director, to the bar staff, to the ladies serving us lunch were lovely - making us welcome and looking after us with care and consideration.

Recommendations;
#1 Borrow a bike and get up for a sunrise ride around the whole island, it is so beautiful! Doing a lap of the entire track shows you how unique Pondok is among many other options of places to stay.
#2 Go out on a sunset cruise on the wonderful Princess Margaux boat.
#3 Relax and enjoy drinks at the new beach club!

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Haven of peace in an island that can be noisy.

Mojito with little flavor and expensive for the prices around here. The normal smoothie.

Probably one of the most exclusive and expensive place to stay in Trawangan, it's a beautiful estate, superbly manicured, with a big peace of land, and a few bungalows, a very nice beach front, very friendly staff, and surprisingly affordable wonderful cocktails...when it's happy hours...we wanted to relax before heading to the sunset poiint so we just stopped and tried to fill this void in our stomach, with a plate of french fries (35 k) and a one for one chilly blackberry tequila cocktail (90k) that is indeed a value for money when it's HH....it's excellent, served in a beautiful glass, with a bamboo straw, plentiful to drink and eat as there is a big chunk of berry ice floating like a huge iceberg in the middle of the glass....take a walk in the park, it's beautiful, and very relaxed....

Literally the best stay and service I ve had in my life (was on honeymoon). Great people and great place. Ps eat here as many times as feasible - best food we had on the island. And also, spring for the villa - very worth it.

Wonderful place in gili trawangan, paradise in lombok

The staff here is super friendly, food is excellent, ambience is nice. As I'm a lazy type person and I got room on the far back of the hotel it was kinda tiring to walk to my room after work. Nevertheless, the room was still lovely so I can't complaint much!

On my honeymoon, a fabulous place.It seems to be in a paradise, I could not ask for more for the honeymoon the staff of the Pondok really special and welcoming and above all of competence.A THANK YOU TO THIS WONDERFUL PLACE :)

My wife and I still dream about this place. Once you have found paradise, you never can forget it. We fell in love with the islands and especially this hotel. The staff were simply awesome. The managemnt really went above and beyond. We were so impressed with this hotel.

Our bungalow with the outdoor bathroom was just amazing. The grounds were kept in perfect condition. Relaxing with a drink in the infinity pool was the best. The private beach was the perfect spot for just relaxing and safely swiming inside of the west reef. The breakfast was excellent.

I have traveled the world, and have not found another paradise like this place. We both dream of the day we can return to this island and hotel.

To our many freinds that work and run this place, we miss you all and will return very soon.

Nice place! Fancy room 500,000, ok place 350,000. Fresh water shower.

Good location by the beach. Delicious cocktails. Food was ok. Could be better. I ordered Salmon medium but got more like medium rare.

Pondok Santi is a beautiful accommodation on beautiful grounds. The food is very good - but I think it was better before. Many places on the island aren't as good since our earthquake so I'll give it some time to see if it improves back to its previous position. The staff are very friendly but should be much better for a restaurant at this price. They get many orders wrong, long waits, dont know the wine list well, etc. But this has always been a problem for at least 2 years now. There is a new young Frenchman working there now though who hopefully will 'tighten up the ship'.

The place is very quiet and with a lot of gazebo around the hotel to chill out.

If you get a chance to stay here - take it! This place was so nice and relaxing - from the private pool, the day beds in the villa, the lounges and hammocks throughout the grounds, pool and beach there are loads of places to chill. The food and drinks were awesome. Loved having breakfast on the beach. Every detail, the furniture, the villa, the welcome drinks all made our stay really lovely.

I think it's the nicest place on Gili Islands. It's a bit far from the main street, but not too far away, so it's a great place to walk. The view of the beach from the property is very good and the landscaping is also very good so it is good enough to relax inside the property. It was a wonderful experience to have a spa in the outer yard. A full outdoor washbasin is special and the breakfast is delicious. You can take a shower looking at the moon.

Loved this place! Everything from the service to the location.
We booked a garden bungalow with outdoor bath/toilet and it was more then what we expected.
The beach is just 100m away the pool 50m with swim up bar. The restaurant is amazing to.
Food was really good!
Service was good and the people working there a lovely.. always there to give you a hand..

Private Quiet Spacious room and great expansive property

Wonderful experience. Great place to stay away from all the music and hustle and bustle of the centre. Great location between the party strip and sunset point. Walking distance from everything. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Very trustworthy too. Accidentally left our safe and the cupboard open one evening and found everything still in there. Free snorkeling gear, paddle boards, kayak and reef shoes for your enjoyment . Bikes are IDR 50, 000 a day to rent. Pristine beach right in front of the estate. Great for snorkeling and kayaking.

One of the finest hotel in Gili Trawangan. It is very wide with coconut front, side and back yards. It offers an open leisure to the customers with gazebo under the shade of coconut trees. In the front gate which is just ten meters from the white sand beaches offers varieties of dishes after having sea activities experiences. Its are is about 9 squares hectares. Open pool and private pool for certain rooms also is the attraction of the hotel.

Surpassed our expectations, spectacular stay! Lovely grounds and facilities; very friendly staff; great food. An oasis of calm away from the clutter and noise of much of the island.

Amazing hotel, quiet in off season which was great. Breakfast is lush!
