I can truly understand why TripAdvisor calls this the number one hotel in Kennebunkport. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and again just recently. Making reservations there is really easy and the staff is extremely accommodating. They really did everything they could to find a room that fit our request. Have stayed in both of the buildings now and both rooms had water views. The fact that they include an excellent. Breakfast is just another plus. There's a shuttle available although you can walk easily into town or to a small but close Beach. Again, if you stay here you'll find that the staff is really helpful and make your stay very relaxing. I can imagine that we would return to this Resort every couple of years and be just as happy each trip.

We just returned from a weekend trip to Nonatum. We booked two rooms and both rooms were perfect. They had the New England rustic appeal that we enjoy. Both of the rooms were updated and the bathrooms were spacious and very clean. I see other comments about the price being high, but during peak season in the summer I believe the price was fair. The breakfast buffet that was included in our stay was excellent. The waitresses were attentive and the food was great. The lime coconut pancakes were my favorite. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch enjoying a drink. The weather wasn't that great, but we made the best of it and enjoyed some board games that the hotel provided in the lobby. My kids enjoyed the activities on site and watching the boats go by. We will definitely be back! Thank you for helping us create some wonderful vacation memories.

This was our 3rd time staying at this resort. Staff friendly and efficient. Front desk was able to accommodate my needs. I forgot my tooth brush and paste. We rented kayaks and took the Pineapple Ketch on sunset sail. Very relaxing. You must enjoy children as this is a family resort. Wonderful children activities. We will stay again.

Stayed two nights and switched rooms the second night. Love the first room - clean, quiet spacious. This was in the main carriage house. Staff very helpful and friendly. They were able to accommodate any request we had both big and small. We didn't like the second room as much in the portside house, our view was of the parking lot and the room carried more noise. These are all small complaints though because overall really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again in the future

Free shuttle bus into town is super with friendly drivers who will pick you up if you call. Accommodations have been refurbished and are comfortable, clean and modern. Extensive breakfast choice each morning. Have stayed here before but this time my room had a disappointing view, no other rooms were available. Some front desk staff reluctant to call for the shuttle bus driver and so I had to call him myself, since I'm not from the US, it meant using my UK mobile phone which was expensive.

Attended a moderately sized wedding reception there as a guest. The bar was small but had 5 draughts. The rooms we used had tables arranged around a central dance floor with a band at one end. There was a standing-only coctail room with the bar that also accessed the rear grounds - which was particularly nice overlooking the river. The surf and turf meal was excellent, and even the kids' meal of fries and chicken tenders was done well. No complaints about the staff but I had minimal interaction.

I am giving one star because the benefits this hot...

I am giving one star because the benefits this hotel does have, others have the same so I do not feel it is a perk. This trip was a mom trip away. We selected this hotel due to the great reviews, and pictures we had seen online. The room was very small, but clean. The view was horrible. The person just walking above us created quite a bit of noise, but just from walking around. The room we were in really need to have screws and bolts tightened. I explain to my friend that surely due to hosting a wedding I m sure this was the only option they had. We chose to try and make the best of it. We climbed in bed at 9, and joked about jack the beanstock up there walking around, but just got worse. The wedding party was directly by us. Even just laughing was beyond noisy due to the fact they had so many people in the room. We asked for a form of compensation from mgt in the morning and we were told there was no option due how we booked the room. When we did first arrive at the hotel we inquired about splitting the bill at checkout because we were sharing the cost. She said no problem with that. When I mentioned to the manager Colby we did inquire at check in

about that the girl spoke up in the back and said because I wasn t aware you booked through Expedia . My response to that was then why did you not correct the wrong and tell us the correct information once you found that out yourself. The part that is so upsetting is we asked for a refund, even just half of the $300 we paid for an off season Thursday night stay and she said there was no way. We were offered a gift card for the gift shop, which is very bad. Obviously catered to older women, and we even said souvenirs for the children. If you walk in the gift shop you will see it is the smallest gift shop, and it is the wardrobe of a 70 year old woman s. I honestly thought it was a joke. We are mid 30 s and they had no selection. When we called Expedia they did agree the stay was bad, and agreed to fight for our refund with the hotel. He told me after speaking to Shelia (who was certainly quick to let me know she will not tolerate our complaints) said no refund, we already gave them a gift card. So let me understand, you could have given us a refund in the very beginning we just had to go about it a different way or you couldn t give us a refund? The communication is bad, and it s very clear their attitudes are to smile to your face, apologize, then over the phone get very ballsy and not care.

In a nutshell Colby felt like we should have been compensated and did so with a gift card because according to her was the only option. Sheila did nothing and said the hotel should not be penalized because you picked your own room. Actually, Miss Sheila that is a lie. The option was not given, NOR did it say obstructed view. I explained to her I would be writing a review about my experience and her only response was are you threatening us. I simply said it it my right to share my personal experience. Considering I am not a local many people chatted with me, inquiring of my experience here. I know Sheila was very concerned about my review, I just wish they were 10x more concerned of the word of the mouth instead. They did comp us, but in their way. We were denied the compensation due to the fact Sheila said the hotel shouldn t be penalized. Had they refunded our money and not given us the gift card like we asked I would have just taken this experience as an unfortunate event. We would have just laughed it off.

Not only did we not get what we paid for. We also spent much time complaining to her, and Expedia. Sheila told me she would contact the owner immediately and let them know how she felt like we got no where with our conversation. I told her oh I was sure she would tell them her version, which came from a 3rd party anyways. I did also let her know I felt like their opinion was they got our money and Just waved us off. She was too worried about the review than actual feelings.

Enjoyed every moment spent there. Took advantage of weekend special rates. Including full Breakfast Buffet at no additional cost for each day. Rooms were clean , staff was attentive. Great view from balcony. Can't say anything bad, can't find any flaws. On the mailing list, awaiting next year's special. The best part, unlike the past years, No snow to deal with.

Wonderful Christmas buffet with Mrs. Claus and Santa, excellent decorations and effort put into it making my daughter's experience magical. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was a few of the employees looked absolutely miserable despite attempted positive vibes. Would come again regardless! Thanks for a fantastic time!

I visited the Nonantum Resort recently to attend Fire and Ice. I was a little worried that I would be a miserable Popsicle by the end of the night but you know what, I have been wrong before. It was an absolute blast! I had so much fun and I can honestly say that... this whiny little girl from Ohio, walks around with goose bumps and a pouty lip 9 out of the 12 months of the year here in Maine... didn't so much as shiver at all the entire night. Whether it was the giant bonfires or the Irish Whisky and cider keeping me toasty...I don't know and I don't even care because it was all great. Someone once told me that if I ever wanted to learn to enjoy the Maine winters I had to pick up a winter sport that I enjoyed.... this was awesome advice that I have yet to follow but it's great none the less... my point is this..I may not have chosen a winter sport yet to get me through these long frigid days but I did find an event that I can look forward to that will help me hate the winters here just a little bit less than before ...this makes me smile..so did the meatballs at this place ahhhh so, so, so good.

Mixed review. Bad: noise pollution from lobby/ballroom, hard bed, thin walls, thin ceilings, no black out curtains. Was really hard to get a restful night of sleep. Good: beautiful location, great breakfast buffet, and extra pillows in the room.

We didn't stay here--just ate at the poolside grill. So super!!! House made roll for the lobster roll, which was awesome. Sarah and the rest of the staff were personable, cheerful, smart, efficient. And my partner's double cheeseburger was amazing too.

Wow - the most kid-friendly place we have vacationed at so far, with a staff that went out of their way constantly to make every minute enjoyable. I couldn't recommend this place enough, especially for families.

Inexperienced staff, ignored "do not disturb" sign. Inadequate parking, extremely difficult to find a spot in their lot as a guest. Room swipe cards constantly needed to be reset at front desk. Appointments dated. Overall, not worth the rather pricey rates. Will not stay again.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Clean and cute room on the ground floor with a walkout to the water was picturesque. Tobey was both our tour guide and shuttle driver, which made our stay interesting and easy. Fantastic homemade Breakfast was included many options to choose from- great for adults and kids alike. Piano in evenings was pleasant.
Kiddos were happy with shuffleboard, basketball, pool, and rooting around in dock/beach area for crabs.
We also did the Rugosa Lobster tour with Capt Bob in back of hotel-
highly recommend, very educational.
Easy walks to Mabel s, Arundel Wharf, downtown, but shuttle drivers more than happy to take you as well. We would love to have stayed longer and would like to return to Nonantum!
