Great place to take your kids, my 4 year old loved it!
Great place to take your kids, my 4 year old loved it!
Hate it wated my money and kids were very upset. I rather go to long island aquarium it's very beautiful.
Absolutely no shade. Not many options for food or drink. Lines were longer than that actual experience. If you bring little ones pack plenty snacks.
Beautifull Spectacular I have been delighted impressed with the varieties of marine species
Beautiful place to spend with the family. Tickets are half price adults $ 14.00 dollars, children $ 11.00 dollars. There are places to eat yourself.
Pretty good Aquarium after renovation. I see they're working hard to restore. Now slightly similar to Adventures Aquarium in Camden
Amazing place, some places are still under construction but other than that I highly recommend it! You can park outside the aquarium if you get there early, and it's cheaper, you must pay with the App becuase they wouldn't let you out.
Wonderful surprise! It was much larger and well treated than I expected.
Parking available, lots to see, sharks, sea lions penguins, and it's indoors
Well my daughter enjoyed and was very fascinated, should have more shows .
A very small aquarium. The shark exhibit is definitely the best in there.
Awesome place to take the family! My 11 year old sister and my 1 year old son had a blast! They were showing Rudolph in 4D and I was shocked that my little guy actually sat through it. Super fun I deff recommend going!
Great new exhibits after hurricane Sandy reconstruction. Can't wait to see the new exhibits that are scheduled to open. WCS loves animals and it shows
One of the smaller aquariums I have been to. It was a rainy evening, so the sea lion show was closed for the day. The rest of the aquarium is very well organized. Fish and sharks looked healthy. Hard to find parking outside the aquarium. Paid parking inside is a little bit on the expensive side.
It's alright but not worth the price they are for admission because half of the park is still under construction.
Love it there. The show was amazing and the costumer service is incredible
I have been to the New York Aquarium a few times as a chaperone for school trips. For me i think it is small. However they have added something with Dinosaurs right next to them. I do not believe that this is included with the admission fee so you might have to pay. Wednesdays is pay as you wish entrance. So you have to give a donation. I have heard that they close off certain things. I have not gone on a pay as you wish day so if you do go please let me know how it goes. So that i may plan another trip.
Quick visit. Cant spend more than 1.5-2 hours here. Still hurting from hurricane Sandy.
The New york Aquarium is a must see if you visit coney island. Walk in the inside aquarium or watch the sea lion show.
Had a great time visiting with family for my 64th birthday, did the aquarium, Coney island and Luna park. The aquarium is still working hard to recover from huricane Sandy. Some of the animals are in temporary housing. It was 92 degrees that day, all of the outdoor exhibits are on black pavement. As they continue to rebuild they should look into creating more shade areas possibly with water misters especially around the waiting on line areas. Good mixture of indoor and outdoor exhibits so could take breaks from the heat. The indoor shark exhibit was worth the 30 minute line. Aside from the aquarium I road on the cyclone for the first time, last time here I was to small to get on. Have lunch at Nathan's original. Take time to do the freak show, it's the last one in the country. The performers are professionals that love what they do and need your support to keep going. Go in with tung in cheek attitude.
This place has been in construction since my daughter was 2 years old. Shes 11 now and its still under construction. My 6 year old pointed out that every year we go its under construction yet its the same. He does not even want to go anymore.
The seal show is fantastic and the aquarium is a wonderful place for kids and adults
Pay for unlimited parking membership. Parking lot is always full. No parking in area either. You can t get into this place. Any in the end, not many exhibits.
Disappointing. Now that the shark exhibit is opened the feeding section is closed.
The Aquarium has come a long way since being ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. Many areas have been renovated and are top notch. Went there for a birthday party and was really impressed with the service of the event staff. They have a nice sea lion show and the new Shark exhibit is AMAZING. However that is all they have right now. There is at least one additional exhibit under construction. If we came here just to visit the aquarium we would have been done in under an hour, and been disappointed.
Nice exhibits but not enough to justify the price tag for admission. If you want to visit a real aquarium, and can handle a drive, try the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. Much larger offering of exhibits and very kid friendly. We generally spend 2-3 hours there when we visit.
Edited this review being that renovations are complete. New shark exhibit is impressive, however could be a little bit of a wait to get in, especially on weekends. Overall great experiance.
Privce is now discounted - $11! It is small aquarium, but soon the should open new big shark tank. There is smaaal touching pool, fish, manta rays, otters, sea lions, penguins, etc.
It was great. A lot smaller than I thought it'd be.
Very small and with many things under repair. Not worth it
Just some random fishes, sharks and a walrus. Apart from the random shows, waste of 12 bucks. Just wait until the renovations are done.
That's excelent they have a new shows and also they finish the sharks tank.
Is really good, I was in other aquariums like Norwalk and Boston but the perfomance in this aquarium are wonderful the new curve shark thank you are prety.
This acaurio has something different from others like the one in Norwalk and the one in Boston has puppet entertainment and that of the seals is very good.
It's finished the sharks tank ... good price that's worth it ..
It's not the best Aquarium I've ever been to, but it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Membership is totally worth it, since it gets you unlimited admission to all 5 NYC zoos.
Absolutely amazing animals and shows! Some parts under construction now, but 100% must see place :)
I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and will continue to come for as long as I live in New York. The aquarium was seriously damaged by Hurricane Sandy, and is still recovering. It's undergoing major renovation, so much of it is closed, making it not quite as grand as it once was. However, it will be back bigger and better than ever in several months. Meanwhile, there is still a lot to enjoy.
Great for school outings, they have a 4D movie of ice age. I enjoyed that more than the aquarium. Shark exhibit still under construction.
Great view of the sea! Would recommend as family trip and activity!
Definitely great. It is overcrowded. Def buy ticks in advance. No one narrates or demonstrates.
Aquarium is still under construction. So it's not much to see.
I went with my neice and we had an okay time. It is a small aquarium but seeing the sharks were cool and the sea lions show we enjoyed.
It needs way more exhibits. Felt like I wasted time and money. Georgia's aquarium is way better.
Great place to bring the little ones . Awesome experience.
Beautiful aquarium, newly renovated. Take your kids there they will enjoy it. Parking on site that's a plus.
What an amazing place. Nice comeback after Sandy. Great staff
The aquarium was better organized this time around. The spineless exhibit was closed during my last visit, without this exhibit opened there is significantly less to experience at this already small aquarium. People were better socially distancing, but, some areas.were crowded.
A warm Winter day is the perfect time to see all the exhibits without the wait and lines of Summer.
Went at the free time on Wednesday. I suggest going at 4 and not at 3. Sharks are cool and the show is neat. I am ok with the place since they donate to the ocean.
Nice and relaxing with the kids seeing all the sea life up close
When asked if the 7yr old enjoyed the experience, replied "I loved it!" ... absolutely beautiful!
Really nice place. Staff puts on good shows. Parking lot is great if you get there early.
Juyeon from the boyz took a picture in front of this place for there album dreamlike
also this place is super nice would recommend going
I recommend the children spend super nice enjoying and learning about maritime life
The seal show is both entertaining and educational great for children and adults
