The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas - Nusa Dua, Bali Review

Loved this hotel so much we've come back again! Very luxurious with kind and VERY experienced staff! The surroundings were all around just gorgeous. And the rooms are modern and the technology is advanced!

The first time I've been here, the pool was absolutely amazing, and it was so beautiful. However when we came here the second time, some pool tiles were missing, so they hurt our feet while walking in the water of the pool. Hopefully they fixed this issue. The food is delicious here, however in the morning, there will be a little wait time to line up for morning buffet. However it's just a few minutes to none if you're lucky. They also have a bakery with delicious deserts. They have variations of restaurants here such as Chinese. (The rest I've forgotten). The drinks, food and deserts are exquisite here and are a DEFINITE recommendation.

However these are some things that you should check before you go:
1. If you are mostly travelling in Bali outside and only using this hotel as a place to sleep, I recommend either staying here fully for a few days or choosing another hotel as this hotel is pricey.
2. The kids club is not huge, and not the best I've seen, but the staff are amazing to children and have lots of activities.
3. Consider staying at a more expensive room. I've seen the normal rooms and they are not as eye opening as the deluxe rooms for example. They are luxurious and beautiful but really make you think it's worth your money if you see the bigger and more decorative rooms.

The location is very good, the view of Geger beach is very beautiful.

Awesome hotel, the hotel is magnificent, the service is friendly, there is one waitress there whose name mba dwi if I'm not mistaken. It's friendly and very fast-paced. All the high tea cakes are delicious. Anyway, Mulia is super cool.

The Cafe buffett is a must do. Great presentation and service. Loved the two dessert rooms.

Luxury hotel with disappointing service. Bought a giftcard from them because the staff was selling them and promoted that it has better value etc. But when I wanted to use it they made it difficult with plenty of restrictions. The front office staffs were especially condescending, rude and not helpful. They treated us like we did not pay for it. Do not buy their giftcard! Not recommended! There are plenty of other 5 stars hotels in Bali with better service and facilities!

Very comfortable and spacious hotel. Has a very good and beautiful view. The hotel rooms are spacious and equipped with modern equipment and complete amenities. You don't need to leave the hotel to enjoy Bali, this hotel has a large swimming pool, private beach with white sand and clean sea. In addition, the hotel has several cafes and restaurants with excellent taste and quality. If you want to see midnight entertainment until you meet again in the morning, this hotel does not provide that. Good luck

Great ocean pool, and breakfast buffet. Spent many lazy days by this pool.. and could spend many more.
You could easily spend your whole time here without leaving the resort. I have looked around and there isnt much that beats Mulia and its facilities. Happy with the choice.
I probably shouldnt mention this.. but there is an awesome restaurant next door, hidden away in Mulias shadow. Nusa Dua Beach Grill.. literally next door. Check it out for a change in the resort dining

Overpriced. I experienced a better 5star hotel with a better rate.
As you entered the hotel, no one greets you other than the security who checked on the car.

The receptionist tried to sell the more expensive room. Seemed like this hotel tried so hard to sell everything, including: bedding, bathrobe, and in room dining.

Not one service person is extra nice for 5 star hotel. Most of the staffs are ignorant, lack of knowledge on the properties (one lady doesn't know that there's a renovation/maintenance of the lake, one guy who worked at the bar wing it when we asked where to go back to the lobby). One guy who worked near the pool (didnt wear a red 'lifeguard' shirt, he wore a off white top) wasnt polite. After we got off the pool, he asked, "Are you done in the pool?" Wth man! Didnt even say, "excuse me, sir/mam; sorry to bother; or may i ask?".

Room could use more light and DEFINITELY AMENITIES. For its price range, i'd get more impressive arrays of amenities. They only give you: toothbrush (low quality), toothpaste, sanitary bag, cotton bud, lotion, shower cap, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. They can add more amenities, such as: bath gel, bath bubbles, shaver, hair comb.

One thing other than up-selling (i guess up-sell is better from owner or management point of view. But i came here as a customer and you, as a service provider, would want a guess satisfaction. I believe, guess satisfaction is more effective because when you are satisfied, you dont mind spending more.), I think they really care about taking care of their properties. I guess i can say: INSECURE AND OVERLY PARANOID about bad-behaving guests as they post and emphasize their rules every where. Rules they have is pretty common sense and acceptable. BUT, they post the rules everywhere and even to the point (again) NEGLECTING GUEST SATISFACTION by giving UNPERSONALIZED SERVICE. 5 star hotel usually pride themselves on giving a personalized service. Even Starbucks knows well on doing this. How can a coffee shop that sells $5 coffee can beat a 5 star hotel that sells $250-$1000 room. On their welcome letter, how hard it is to put "Dear Mr. so and so____, thank you for staying with us", and stay with their gratitude towards their guess. Instead, they keep emphasizing on these rules. I mean SERIOUSLY, is that really so hard to print the welcome letter addressing each guest by their name instead of "Valuable Guest". Maybe the laziness preventing them to print each letter one by one. Maybe effectiveness is better than guest satisfaction.

The stay i would say is mediocre and would rather spend my money at some other 5 stat hotel.

Smooker dont sleep here, they dont have any smooking room. Nothing special with the food and the beach is not so beautiful because no sunset

Classy, beautiful decor & ambience. Good food, great service and spectacular views.

Love this place. It s huge and the service is excellent. A good resort to bring your love ones for a pampering getaway. The view is spectacular. The bed is great. 2 complains I have - a lot of mosquitoes so bring your patch and the room is too dark although it is romantic but putting on contact lens in such Low light is definitely a challenge - do have some bright lights in the toilet please.

Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this resort. The staff, facilities and location are all amazing. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury holiday in Bali.

This is rated one of the best hotels in Bali for a very good reason. The place is awesome, from the moment you drive through the entrance gate it is striking. From the huge well decorated foyer area the ocean views are great. I have nothing but praise for the place.

Okay Okay, but the restaurant is too expensive
It s far from downtown. I went to Seminyak today as if it s really a family trip here...
No shuttle and nothing around.
I went to Mulia a bit next to it and the atmosphere was compared even though I stayed at the Royal Suite.
Wi-Fi is bad. It only bursts in the room.
No. 2648 TV line. Please replace it. I'm leaving soon.
For those arriving late, there is a Mullion sticker on the drink in the refrigerator, so please bring it in.
There are many beach beds next to the pool, but there are few. After breakfast, somebody s luggage is all there.
There seems to be a lot of breakfast buffet, but it is not enough and taste is not good.

Too expensive restaurants here is recommed for only family.
Around here can not find anything if you wanna buy someting have to go out need to take a taxi.
Do not have any shuttle bus wifi is just working in the room.
Breakfast looks like too many thing bust actually nothing specials.

Still, the condition and the niceness of the accommodation are excellent^^

Travelled a lot, not going name drop but if you give it less than 5 stars your a dick. Amazing staff that want to hear of better ways to accommodate you. Create what you want at a drop of a hat. Very competitive pricing with quality and the staff is what makes this place.

Room and resort facilities are very complete, the resort is very spacious and comfortable. The morning and afternoon restaurant menus are various and delicious! It's just that transportation to locations that are still difficult, if you bring a private vehicle will be charged half the time parking fees. Online taxis are also prohibited from entering the area.

Best of every thing. Loses one star for minor things, but no deal breakers

If you are looking for a five star hotel in Bali.. i would recommend Mulia!! You will never be bored with their food (it taste so good ) and also their staff its so perfect! They are so friendly and always give their excellent! Salute for you guys!!
