Disappointing to be honest But then again restaurants should be able to cope and we all had to pre-order meals which was Sunday.lunches I won't be returning in a hurry. compared to the cherry tree on a38 for food a bitof a let down

Nice place with lots of history including the low wood beamed bar and the feature glass housed mill wheel (non operational). Stopped for a quick bite to eat late on a Saturday. Menu was still the lunch menu but this still had plenty to choose from, meal was cooked and presented well. Choice of beers, wines and etc was good. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The Evening menu looked great pity we missed it.

Food was excellent, good atmosphere, could have done with a couple more serving staff as service was slow and disjointed, for a big party they need more hands on deck. Would certainly go again, highly recommended.

Stopped off here while on a mission to find someone and was greeted by the best host ever, lol! He made a great coffee and we had to stay for the bogof pizza which was the business. The pub itself was so charming, staff welcoming and food excellent. Well done Eugene.

Friendly and polite staff, happy to accommodate any reasonable request. Popped in on Fathers Day and ordered roast pork cobs, were told there would be quite a wait but we were served within 15mins!
Lovely outside seating area which catches the afternoon sun.

Great country pub. Nice decor, great pub classic dishes, good ales and wine selection in a smart, friendly village. A smashing little stop. We often eat here with the kids and pop in for a glass or two. It's just what a country pub should be. Would recommend.

First time here today. Quiet when arrived at 1:30 (alarm bells sounded in my head). Couldn t have been more wrong; lovely place, lovely staff, very good food at a reasonable price. Portion sizes absolutely fine (brought some of mine back). Nice beer garden. Give it a try!
