The Midtown Caboose Review

I always have a good experience at Caboose and Well's Bros, but last night was my best experience yet. Our server Kelsey was SO wonderful, and I'm honestly leaving this review specifically to sing her praises. We had a group of 7 people and were there for about 3 hours. Every step of the way Kelsey took care of us, made everyone feel warm and welcome, and handled multiple issues with orders with superb grace. She is the definition of professional customer service!

It is the best burger place in this town!! I really love this place and always come here whenever I want to eat special burger. The taste of burger is perfect. In terms of plating, however, they need to be more careful.

Solid four something rounded up for this crazy college burger bar with quasi-modern fun industrial-iffy-ish student vibe. Veggie meatball sammy and chili were really very nice even though the chili was served up something just under warm. I could have sent it back, I'm sure, but didn't bother. It's also the first place I've seen that considers tots an upgrade, what's up with that!??

Anyhow, lots of interesting and unusual burger mash ups if you haven't been to something like this before. Lots of sandwiches and wraps too, a whole list of choices teasing even the strongest of us into indecision, growing hopes and dreams of future trips in.

Sublime Cocktails. Would Love to see a special bespoke super awesome veggie/vegan burger on the menu. I'm always looking :)

Have not been there in several years. Went this evening and enjoyed a great meal. Chicken dish and the salmon plate was excellent. Good service in a quiet atmosphere.

I literally ask my boyfriend once a week could we go to Midtown Caboose just so that I can get the Crab Rangoon. He's like "baby you're not tired of eating that"? Nope. Lol. I love it sooo much that I want it served at my wedding . Seriously. You guys have to try it. My boyfriend doesn't like cream cheese and I told him to try it and he loved it!

Crab Rangoons came out undercooked. The rest of my food was good.

My wife wanted a patio and a burger and Midtown was where we headed. Her burger the Runaway Train was on point with sweet potato fries and a mojito. I had the Cobb salad which was HUGE. The wasabi ranch was excellent as was the cold LaLaLand. Tables were spaced, servers were masked up. All in all just what we wanted, good food and drink with quick friendly service. We will be back soon!

This place was awesome. Really cool environment, sitting outside (but without bugs). The food was amazing, best Cuban sandwich I've had. Huge variety of sandwiches and hamburgers, reasonably priced. Definitely recommend if you live in Tallahassee or are visiting.

This is the type of experience you hope for when you go to a restaurant we arrived at 9 even though they close at 10 or waitress was very happy and considerate. We enjoyed the regular caboose Burger my wife greatly enjoyed the ahi tuna burger without the beef patty they spoiled her with even more tuna we left the sauce we enjoyed the quilted Piggy it was not my favorite but it was a fun choice in the kids enjoyed their half off Tuesday cheeseburger kids meal. The strawberry jalapeno sauce is amazing. We will definitely be going back to eat the pulled pork wontons and try some of the other meals
The ice cream banana split was great as well and a good size. Very happy with the service and the food and the timely manner that came out.
If you have not been here this is a must-try.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND OVER PRICED. You would think a $14 burger would start with a good hand made pattie but it seemed more like a frozen bubba burger and had no flavor. The coleslaw was bland and didn't seem very fresh either. Their 'pizza chips' appetizer is a ~$10 bowl of fried dough balls you dip in a tiny cup of pizza sauce. For $10 you'd think they could have some kind of meat or cheese in them and give you a reasonable amount of sauce.

The sweet potato fries were pretty good though and the service wasn't too bad. My wife got a BLT and said it was pretty good. Would rate the food alone at 2.5-3 but giving them a 1 star overall due to the ridiculous prices for mediocre food. Over $50 for 3 people!

Best burgers and some of the best American food in town! My fave is the PB&J burger with their sweet potato fries! And they have lots of options for everyone's nutritional needs!

Everything is good! Perfectly cooked burgers with all sorts of toppings and amazing side items (the sweet potato fries are my favorite). The parking can be difficult, so get there early. We were told by the hostess that after 5 pm you can park in the United Way lot across 7th avenue. For me, the prices are a bit high for weekly visits.

A great experience here for lunch. The selection is almost overwhelming but you will not be disappointed by anything you eat! Appetizers are great and the portions are huge! Be hungry when you come here! A real gem in Midtown!

Midtown Caboose just became one of my top 3 restaurants in Tallahassee tonight. I came here for my birthday after just searching random dine-ins in town that welcomed big parties(I had about 16). I came across MC which happened to have great reviews and a very interesting menu. I grew up loving the Monte Cristo and this is one of the few spots in Tallahassee with it. The food was good and the service was just as satisfying. Rachel took care of everyone and went out of her way to display great service. Definitely recommend this place.

Very unique menu! Our server gave us plenty of time to make our selections. The food was good but the servings were very big. We could've easily shared a dish. Come here with a big appetite.

The staff and the food were awesome. My husband and I had the Spicy Shrimp Po' Boy and The Reagan. Both were absolutely delicious. I think they both could have used a little more sauce, but I love a good sauce, so I'd recommend requesting a side of the sauce with your sandwich/burger. The regular fries were decent but nothing to write home about, and the sweet potato fries were lackluster at best. I would be fine with ordering the regular fries as a side again, but I wouldn't order the sweet potato fries again, and I'll almost always choose sweet potato fries over regular fries.

Other than one loud mouth cook, I've only ever had positive experiences here. The food is unique but often everything you crave. At the same time you can order just a burger and fries. But if you're feeling adventurous they've got something for you.

Great sandwiches, wraps, and burgers in a cool atmosphere. Large deck outside as well. Great service. Would recommend. Try the pb and j burger.

100% the best burgers in town. I suggest going outside of your comfort zone and trying some of their unique creations. Yum!

Cool and quaint place to enjoy a meal with a view you cannot beat. Better seating upstairs for a more private mood. Food is excellent and on point, service personal was very attentive and nice. It is also a boutique style hotel, i enjoywd my time there ans would definitely go back

This is definitely a great place for really interesting burgers, wings and sandwiches. My BLT was amazing - tons of bacon and fried green tomatoes! Check it out in the middle of Tallahassee.

The food was good. Yhe place has a good beer list. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is non-existent. I want to say it was like a garage but they at least have character.

If you want a big burger this is the place to go. They have a very creative menu with things like sushi burgers, Mexicutioner, and peanut butter burgers. You can get a regular burger, but why when you can get a knuckle sandwich? Pri tip: get the sauce on the side if you want to pick up your burger. Also, the jalapeno slaw is good.

My first visit was Friday and i enjoyed every minute. The food was great. My server was awesome and the manager did what every manager shiuld do, walk to each table and say hi.

This was my first time eating here. It was amazing. I had the Liberty Bell burger. It had philly Cheesesteak on top of the burger. This is either my favorite or second favorite burger place in Tallahassee. The tea is very sweet too.

For a burger place, midtown caboose was awesome. I normally don't like burger, but this place has such a variety, everyone can find something they like. Great service and awesome atmosphere. Super clean!

Go there. Try it. They have the most fun variety of cheeseburgers I've ever seen. We were only able to try a few, but everything was delicious. We were passing through on vacation and wanted to try a good local place. This surpassed expectations in every way. Amazing food.

What more do I need to say?

It took FOREVER for me to find something on the menu I liked enough to keep me coming back. I finally found it--peppercorn goat cheese. I tried a few burgers and sandwiches which were really good, don't get me wrong, but the simple preparation of that dish is STELLAR. They also have a really good beer menu, interesting rotating taps, and an approach to wings that I find delightful. Trivia nights and Sundays are my recommend times to drop in. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the parking situation is less than ideal. But hey, I'd walk a block for that goat cheese.

They have a good amount of healthy alternatives, like green beans instead of fries. Staff is friendly and helpful. The burgers were good but not really anything special. I wouldn't drive across town for this place or anything, but it was really good since we were in the area.

Passed through from out of town today and gave this place a try. The service was AMAZING and the food was just as great! We were a large group and every person was delighted with their meal. Everybody got something different and loved it. Will definitely make it a point to pass through this area again to go back to this place!!!
