Great service, great food, great prices, great atmosphere. Highly recommended. I have been a free times and it's consistently brilliant.

Really delicious afternoon tea with prosecco, it was a warm sunny day so we could enjoy sitting outside. Huge section of teas to choose from if you fancied something a bit different. I ate here a few years back for dinner and it was just as good. Great service, lovely pub.

Very nice food here, the starters are a bit big though so I wouldn't be able to eat a main after eating one to myself. The trio of desserts was amazing.

Visited for the first time mid-week for an evening meal. Lovely warm atmosphere with open fires. The bar was busy & buzzing whilst the restaurant busy but relaxed. The food was first class & staff could not have been more friendly, polite or attentive. Will definitely return.

Very nice pub indeed. There is parking at the back with a lovely large garden. Spectacular views of the countryside. There's a modern restaurant at the back too. Food was excellent with friendly staff. The only thing was the restaurant wouldn't serve drinks to patrons in the garden. You had to go to the front bar.

Really good food and friendly service, nice view from the terrace. Very good on covid-secure measures as well.

Warm welcome on arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful. beautiful rooms with lovely open fireplaces. We had afternoon tea and it was delicious.

The bar manager was the most rude person I have ever met. Was unacknowledged whilst waiting (10 mins), didn't give me the drink I wanted and after complaining I was told 'we ran out that's what we have'. No option to change or offer something else. He also glared and walked away from a friend after she asked for something not on the bar menu.

Attentive staff and fabulous food. The owner has updated the rear if the pub with decking and its a lovely addition to the garden. Vegan in my party had more than one option which is different. I had vegan fish and chips! Great food.

This place is a fantastic find. Wonderful environment, great menu with something lovely for everyone, nice staff and great service. Get there early it's so popular and car park is small but overflow one behind via another entrance. Definitely go again.

Big busy pub serving bar and restaurant food of great quality. Service ok. It was really busy so understandable. Need to know how to serve modules which were delicious though, finger bowl smaller than the average cup, no bowl for shells and no spoon for the excellent juice. Would certainly go again. Overall a good experience.

Horrible experience!!! I have been there today with a friend, we got a table and we waited to be served for over 30 minutes. Waitress were all lost and arguing to each other... we left the place without consuming anything ... very poor service

Lunchtime food very good, fabulous views from new restaurant. Service very slow, luckily we weren't in a hurry.

Loved the atmosphere and the food was presented really well.

Brilliant old pub with a modern extension providing superb views. Good atmosphere, food and service. My only quibble is that the low ceiling of the new dining room makes it very noisy. I can't understand why commercial architects don't anticipate this and design higher ceilings with sound absorbing materials.

Beautiful, ancient village pub/restaurant, and empty inside at 3pm . Bar menu very good and beautifully prepared dishes from local produce. Lemon sole excellent, as was the gammon, egg and chips. Would have been five stars but gluten free options not marked on menus.

I have been drinking and eating at the middle house for years and always have a great experience here. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the building is lovely. They have a nice beer garden. You can also book rooms to stay in. I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten here!. I highly recommend coming in to try the food.

Had a lovely lunch there today in the garden which is very well kept and the scent coming from the garden was something else, the meals were superbly presented with generous portions. A very friendly atmosphere. Our 15 month old granddaughter ran around the garden chasing butterflies.

We didn't eat but plenty of others were and there was a lovely looking menu full of local produce.

We went here on the Sunday before Christmas. As always a wonderful meal, the sauces on every dish were so delicious. The service was friendly and relaxed. Happy faces all round. Much more than a pub meal and well worth the money

Went for an evening meal with friends and family. The Sunday Roast options were incredible
