Attended a private a company retreat at the resort. The facilities were amazing and staff was friendly. Food was really great too. BUT, the bartender did not know how to mix cocktails which was only made slightly acceptable by the fact that she was very friendly and welcoming. For $18 drinks, I would hope the person knows what he/she is doing. Also, the front desk messed up our room key cards and they had to re assign everyone. I waited for 1.5 hours until I finally had a room. I might go back but will expect much better service

The Meritage was lovely and employees were for the most part very accommodating and helpful. Our first room had a bed that was broken, however. After informing the front desk and asking for a phone call, no one called us all day. When we returned and checked with the front desk, we were told it was fixed. It was not. We then had to repack our bags and ask again to be moved to a different room, which took kind of a while. But everyone was very polite about the process.

Some guests smoke on their balconies, which gets into the room. Frownpound. But the property itself is lovely and the adults only pool is much appreciated. The spa experience was very enjoyable and the steam room was wonderful afterwards. We all loved our various treatments.

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding. Beautiful property, with an excellent restaurant, cafe, staff and rooms. As a guest, you also get access to the GORGEOUS Meritage vinyard behind the hotel. If you are in Napa Valley, I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

We stayed there this past weekend (7/11-13) for a girls weekend and had mishap after mishap after mishap the whole weekend. 2 hrs to get our order by the pool, 45 minutes and 2 phone calls later to get towels, Missing ordered items from our room service and Not enough flatware for all parties. The room was not ready at 4pm as promised. They misplaced our baggage they were holding for us. For $600/night it was completely atrocious service. When we voiced our complaints she comped us $30 off our pool tab. Seriously? OUr bill was over $1500. We won't be returning and would recommend you slurge on one of the Actual 4 star resort in Napa Valley

Stay away. We stay over the weekend and they charged us even though we had a prepaid voucher from a travel site. That wasn t the worse part. Upon checking the bed the sheets had blood stains in various places. The mattress cover was also stained. When calling to the front desk they first said they would send new sheets. Then when asking for a manager we were told they were in a meeting. On a Sunday morning? Then when the manager came to the room we were told they would investigate what happened. He also inspected the sheets as if we were lying. Never apologized. We were told they would be in contact. It s been just about a week and no response yet and when we call the manager is in a meeting. Hotel looks nice from a distance. Stay away.

Ruined B'day surprise for my husband. Don't waste your hard earned money. Where to begin?
1.Drove 2 hours to get here. Front desk lost reservation (booked through agda, 3 days in advance, confirmed by calling hotel reservation by on the morning of arrival).
2. at 'pre check' since we arrived ar 3pm, We're told room not available yet. Will gve us call. 4:30 pm.. no call. When i called reservations, it took 15 mins to get front desk #. Still was told room not ready
3. I had Spa Terra appointment at 5. And a dog, so insisted on checking in, still even at 5:15 front desk told room not ready, finally got a room, was late for spa, could not use any of the amenities. No apologies, no directions to the room, no valet offered...
4. False advertising about dog friendly amenities on website (did not provide dog food bowl, treats, bed as stated) only charged 50$ extra.
5. Massage left so much to desire. Cold bed, cold welcome, sticky restroom floor, used, stale oil smell on sheets. Barely enjoyed aroma of 'oil blend' Therapist did Justice to my back, barely touched hands and legs, music, did not jive.
I had called spa to confirm appointment and mentioned that his CBD massage was a surprise. He did not even realize that it was CBD massage until after I asked him how was it
6. Spa architecture is beautiful, thoughtful, resort rooms are spacious

Good place for a drink and bowling in off season. Went here in December for bar bites and bowling. Expensive, but a nice time nonetheless. Not much to look out outside, it's in an industrial park.

Great rooms and bar service. Michele at the front desk was also excellent in assisting us at check in, as well as providing drink vouchers when our room took longer to be ready than expected.

amazing spa. Prices are very expensive for the rooms and for food on the property. The taxes will probably make your eyes bulge. In the middle of a corporate area. One set of elevators for the main hotel. Fat southern edge. Hotel has a shuttle to downtown Napa but not late night.

Beautiful property among vineyards! Great staff, wonderful food, and seven wine tasting rooms on site. The rooms were elegant, and we wanted to take the bed home! Great location for Napa and Sonoma. We highly reccomend.

First night of a two night stay. Room is nice. Spacious enough for two. View of the vineyard is great. Pool area is comfortable. Wedding was amazing. Nice ceremony at the top of a hill. Reception was in a wine cave, also amazing.

The AC unit was broken in my room, but there aren't any other rooms open and the technician already left. Not much they could really do about it. They are generally pretty nice. No major complaints.

Very polite and accommodating staff. If you have any mobility issues, get the queen room because the shower in my king room was difficult to maneuver in with bad knees and bad back, there is no grab bar or tub ledge to put a leg up to maneuvering if needed. I was there for a conference so did not partake of the food or spa so no eating for that part of the stay.

Check-in was terrible, she left without telling us what happended. Room service was slow and none responsive. Tonight we are planning on going bowling there so let's see how that goes. Oh by the way we ordered a crib and it took them 1 hr to deliver.

If you want to stay on-site and get a small (but substantial!) taste of Napa, you can. If you want an amenity-rich launchpad for your wine excursions, they got that too. Just watch our for bird poop; cute birds, though!

Nice place to stay. Had a 2-day conference there and the overall experience with the hotel staff were pretty good. Very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the front desk staffs were a bit slow on processing check in/out.

Excellent service and top notch amenities. We had a beautiful view of the vineyard from our spacious and very well kept room. The onsite cafe is convenient and has great breakfast and lunch options. The food was fresh and tasty. To top it all off, the pool area is amazing.

Came out here for a kid-free weekend. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice - clean and spacious. There is a lot of outdoor space to hang out and a great walking path through the grapevines. The food offerings and price were meh.

The nice thing is that there is a shuttle to downtown Napa where you can eat to your heart s desire.

I wished for seating out in the vineyard since it is so tranquil out there.

Stayed at the vino bella, the timeshare associated with the property. The facilities were nice, but there were a few issues. First, the package we booked was new. No one knew how to give us the free tastings included in the package, so they gave us a coupon for tastings at the airport. Problem is they were not open during our stay. The other issue is that their standard for making a bed includes one sheet. So, you either sleep on the mattress protector and cover with a sheet or sleep on the sheet and cover with the comforter. Either scenario is yuck in my opinion.

Management has turned this place into a serious tourist traps. This place was great for the locals to come and have brunch get a massage wine taste and Bowl in the crush Lounge but not anymore I'm hoping management will see that locals do not frequent this place anymore and make some changes so that the locals feel just as welcomed and important guests as the tourists again.

We were there for a wedding. Beautiful resort and hotel. Our only complaint was having to walk up and down a steep, rocky, dirt path to the ceremony area, which is difficult if you are wearing open toed shoes or heels - it's an ankle sprain waiting to happen. Also if you wear expensive shoes this could damage them. Reception area in the cave was unique and very nice. Service from the bar and wait staff were exceptional.

Could be a 5 plus star hotel.

Could be a 5 plus star hotel.

I reserved one bedroom for 3 nights.

Pros
- The room, kitchen, living room space and jacuzzi are all great.
- People are kind (maybe not all)
- Did not have time to enjoy the amenity but pretty sure they are also great.

Before talking about Cons.
Here's my message to the Salespeople of Meritage ownership program.

I was invited to a resort ownership presentation and complimentary breakfast on the 2nd day morning. did not have a great expectation. but expected a nice breakfast (like Marriott) to make people feel guilty for not signing on the offer. The breakfast was embarrassing. You will be asked to seat at the center of the salespeople office. You will find the breakfast is something from Motel 6. (dry crescent, juice,... only on-demand omelet was ok.)
Hello Salespeople, Somebody who paid about $250 per night, will never be impressed by the breakfast.
The salesperson set on the 3rd chair and started asking questions while we were eating. Somehow aggressive questions but I did not want to ruin my holiday morning.
In conclusion, he said the cost of lifetime ownership is $27000. (interestingly that was the exact amount he estimated based on my 10-year trip forecast) I said that is so nice offer and we would consider it. and asked for a brochure. He said they do not have any brochures. So I said 'thank you for your offering.' He kind of stopped us and said that we still needed to stay another an hour because the breakfast and presentation are 90 min program. I said I would contact him if we think the offering works for us. He immediately said that it would be $65000 as soon as I stepped out of the office. I said it is totally fine with me. ( at this point I had to laugh.) I told him jokingly 'I am a salesperson, too. you know that how difficult to sell anything to a salesperson.' He showed his paycheck and told me he is making enough money already so he did not need to sell it to me.
Well, I asked to see if I can see his manager. I explained the manager what just happened. The manager let us leave.
Dear salespeople, do you still think the sort of multi-level-marketing style sales works for you?

Now Cons.
- Even during holidays, people are busy with many exciting schedules. Please, reconsider your sales program. minus 2 stars
- Parking spaces are not enough. You may need to park across the street after 5 pm.

Every staff member that I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous, the resort was filled with things to do, and they even had a free shuttle to take you downtown. Honestly, the only thing that was lacking for me was quite small: no full-length mirror in my room.

Multiple problems. Check in was less than stellar. Initial room assigned had no working AC. Were switched to another room and no help with luggage transfer. Second room we have has sink clogging issues. On day 2 of our stay, cleaning personnel decided to turn off AC while we were away and room was really hot when we got back. Room was not cleaned properly. Had left a note about sink not draining properly and nothing was done. Tried dialing 0 to speak to somebody and the phone just rings and no answer from front desk. Day 2/4 into our stay, we can t wait for our 4 days to be up so we can move on to our next hotel in Yountville.
