The Malt Shoppe Review

We went to the Malt Shop twice during our visit to Pagosa Springs and it was like a good old fashioned shop!

Can take a while & long lines. Basic burger & Fry's stop. The chocolate malt was good.

Inside restaurant was hot and stuffy though.

It was... food. Nothing to really celebrate about it. It was hard to tell if you were supposed to bus your own tables or they would do it- there really wasn't a good place to put the used plates, but nobody was out taking care of things. The men's bathroom was clean, but (weirdly) the stalls in the men's room just had curtains that weren't especially covering. There wasn't soap in the women's bathroom.

We got two patty melts withgries and two shakes and they had the best prices and hospitality was amazing for working all day

If you want a great malt and cheese burger this is the place

Spent 3 days in Pagosa Springs in April 2018 and seriously this and McDonalds are the best places in town to eat. This place is great if you don't mind being served by Oscar the grouch.

Got two Frito pies to go and they were completely cold. The Chile wasn t even warmed up and the service was rushed. When we were looking at the menu the lady upfront was rolling her eyes.

Pretty good Pagosa institution. Went there as a kid and don't think it's changed much.
