Great cafe for breakfast, chill vibes, friendly staff and delicious food

Great coffee, great food but gets very busy so can take a little bit of time to get your food.

A last minute decision to meet a friend here for lunch. The service, food and coffee was very average. A little disappointed with my experience.

Meal was lovely(smashed advocado) tea wasn't great which was disappointing simply because I thought it was impossible to get it wrong.

Nice cafe with some different food options. Sparkling water is free which is a nice touch. Food was excellent and came out quickly. I look forward to coming back again.

Thought I d try somewhere new but $7:50 for nippys juice poured into a glass! What a rip offf. Nice atmosphere and staff but way better places to go nearby like Mister Sunshine s.

The worst customer I ever seen in my life. They are very rude, the food is okay, after having brekky with my friend I asked her to take my pic and the waiters asked me to leave she need to bring other customers it was so rude she didn't even say sorry... please don't go and waste ur money..

Coffee, food and customer service where amazing. Very accommodating for dietary requirements and staff where fantastic at seating a large group of us for the morning rush. Very charismatic and charming establishment.

Enjoyable basic breakfast, nice staff, a little on the expensive side but one of the only cafes open on a Sunday so I ll pay that.

Food was exceptionally thought out, picturesque and even better to eat. Would go back anyday for the food. Unfortunately the service was sub-optimal.

Brisket was really good. Chilli crab could use more seasoning. The portions were great. Presentation was top notch too. Service was not too bad on a busy Sunday morning.

The last two visits to The Loose Caboose have been quite disappointing. A once excellent cafe have become too big for their boots.

Last week they got my order wrong. Ordered two smoothies at $16, both tasted disgusting. My child threw hers in the bin.

Today, I had a another poor experience with a staff member and wasn't even allowed to discuss with management. I asked to be seated elsewhere as I was cold. She said, the other tables were for groups of four so I could sit outside if I wanted. There were many tables inside

Their food and service is sub-standard for the price point.

I am now seated at Queen Street which is far superior to the offerings at The Loose Caboose.

I suspect new management would be helpful. Real pity.

Flat out and busy but quick and great food and drinks.

Solid but not excellent. Food is okay, coffee is good. Cups are old and in desperate need of replacement

I had the Sticky Hoisin Pork and absolutely loved it! My branching partner had a hard time deciding what she wanted, and the wait staff was super helpful in talking out her narrowed down options. Lovely food and staff - I will definitely be coming back here.

Really disappointed. Looks like a great cafe however I know it closes at 3pm. However they don't let you know that their kitchen closes at 2pm and you also can't sit outside if you're there from 2pm as they close it off as well. Meanwhile there were a lot of people still sitting outside with fresh coffees and food etc. Please close your doors at 2pm and turn people away from your doors then. The staff member was very uninformative and we had to ask all the questions to find out what we were able to and not do. Think I'll stick to the oconell bakery where there is always a hype and staff are friendly.

Beautiful coffee and food in an lovely atmosphere. Definitely an impressive brunch spot.

I just moved in the neighbor and I'm glad that we have a great coffee shop and restaurant at the same time

But the food is great. My fav Is the cho cho burger and for breakfast the mushroom egg

Best breakfast we've managed to find in Adelaide. Coffee is almost up to Melbourne standards as well.

Disappointed in the service. Apologies to the staff who we annoyed just by being there. We lasted less than 5 minutes as couldn't bear the hostility and found a much friendlier establishment just around the corner. We won't be back.

Very popular on the weekend, absolutely pumping! Good solid selection of breakfast fare. An army of waiters will look after you. The coffee is made to a decent standard also which is nice for a suburban cafe.

Building your own breakfast is really good value at this place. Food is quality, coffee is tops.

Wow. The Hoisin Pork was probably the best I've ever had. A big call I know. When just the weight of the fork is enough for the meat to fall apart you know you're on to a winner.

The sauce and presentation is top class.

Staff were attentive and friendly.

Our group's meals were full of flavour & beautifully presented. Highly recommend the food. Staff friendly & courteous. Great coffee.

Tops coffee, nice food, another really nice Cafe with a unique vibe! Only gripe really would be the noise when busy but really that's just nitpicking and it's only because they're so popular!

What kind of world is this ? No humanity at all ? Shame on you guys. Don't you really feel ashamed to have such a policy? When you don't have a tendency to give a glass of water to a thirsty person, there is no point in running a food business! All you will get is a curse at the end of the day!

One staff person extremely rude, still waiting 45mins for service have been told to sit down when I asked if we could put an order in.

What was meant to be a nice morning out become a waiting game. Coffees came out quickly, then we waited 30 minutes for two breakfasts, in that time no waiter, or waitress asked if we were waiting, even when they cleared our coffees. We ended up leaving and cancelling our food, which we learnt hadn't been put through in the first place.
The coffees were free of charge due to the poor service.
Personally not coming back.

Hot as hell don't go there on a hot day probably not to good on a cold day either i would imagine.

Acoustics: 3 stars. Overall, it's not oo bad, but they play the music too loud, and were dismissive when we asked them to turn it down.
The food here is quite nice - typical all-day-breakfast sort of thing, perhaps more expensive than it deserves to be.
Location is good to drop in for breakfast, especially if you're going to use the park nearby to catch the tram.

Fantastic place, great fun busy atmosphere, just had lunch and coffee but will be back next week to sample more.

We arrived at 8:40 on a Sunday morning, when it was starting to get busy. The place was understaffed, with only one person to show people to their tables, take orders, hand over Ubereats packages and take payments. She was doing her best, but it took a long time for her to take our order. In fact, two tables who were seated after us took the initative to go to the counter to order, only to be told to sit down and then she would go take their order. As a result, their food came before ours, and had even finished their meals (and one party had left) before our food arrived. My blueberry smoothie bowl was good. When we went to pay, the tables had no numbers, so a server had to ask what we ordered then try to find our table in the system that way. It seemed so inefficient when there are so many ways to make it easier.

Great little cafe. Tasty menu, very good coffee and friendly service.

Parking is at a premium but that's not their fault.

Waited 25-30 mins once seated, still no service. Paid for coffee's and advised waitress of the situation, didnt seem to care to much, didnt even offer a discount on coffee's. Left hungry and disappointed, do not recommend this place to anyone. I understand places get busy, but this place is half the size of a cafe primo with twice the staff working, and is heaps more expensive, you would think they would have great service for the prices they charge. A serious disappointment culinary industry.

Great atmosphere and well priced food. Sparkling water on tap is also cool

Went in for a takeaway coffee. Took them 10 mins to serve me and further 20 minutes to make it. The coffee was rushed and didn't taste nice in the end. This place is "hipster" for the sake of it and they charge like it too. The staff are in no hurry to attend to customers. Seems like a nice place with the atmosphere but avoid if you are looking for a quick meal or coffee

Love the food especially the Conductors Brunch, the smoothies and sweets are great too!

The customer service can be a bit hit and miss in terms of whether or not you'll get someone friendly/smiling but the food is so good you'll come back anyway!

Never disappoints...from the friendly service, to the very good quality meals. Enjoy your meals as you watch the trains.

It was lovely and the food was great. It was difficult to find but once I found it I had a lovely time. Perhaps altering the directions on the website would make it easier to find.

Have been here before and like the location and looks. There's something not quite right with the service. Food and coffee didn't line up so ordered another coffee which never came. No acknowledgement or apology. It seems that maybe the staff are not the owners. Could be so much better with thoughtful service and communication. Will probably still give it another try in case it was just a bad day.

We always seem to be here when it s about to close but the staff are lovely and accommodating, the decor is cute and it has a really nice feel. It s perfect when you re early enough for brunch!

Food was superb!!! Fresh and delicious! One of the best cafes in Adelaide! Coffee was amazing as well! Service was slow, took an hour to get our meals, but they were very busy at the same time so to be expected and the food quality made up for it! The building is very cool as well with a lot of the train station history left into the retrofit. Awesome little spot! Don't forget a cookie sandwich on your way out! AMAZING!

A nice little place to escape to in the morning. Good coffee and menu. The eggs Benedict were quiet nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Nice ambiance and layout of the cafe. Sitting outside when sunny is a nice touch. Just far enough off busy Port road to not be affected by the noise levels.

Enjoyed the food and coffee. Service was OK but with a few improvements could be excellent.

Great little cafe on the bike path and easy parking out the front. Food and coffee was excellent. Will certainly visit again.

The staff here were accomdating and friendly.
We were rushing to an event and the staff were so helpful by assisting us with takeaway options as well as altering the menu items to cater to vegetarian needs. Great coffee and food as well as 10 out of 10 service. Thanks

Food is amazing! Coffee is normally spectacular. Menu favorite is the poached eggs with avocado and watermelon raddish.

Such a pretty venue, delicious food and coffee. Staff were rude at the time of booking and even worst face to face. It felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us eat there. Fortunately for us, there are many wonderful breakfast places around Adelaide.

Venue seemed fine but take away coffee was basically undrinkable. Bummer because I had heard good things.
