Everything was good, enjoyed free sparkling water with self service, chips, salads and coffee were good. Coffee is sour, if you like it sour, great, good with milk and sugar, long black is too sour for me. If you're looking for not bitter not sour coffee, check out Cibo coffee in city only, other Cibo coffee taste varies

Great little cafe. A little annoying that only take online bookings and if your having a problem trying to book online you can't call the cafe and book that way instead they will refuse to take your booking. My friend had a very hard time trying to book. Food was delicious and drinks were good. Be careful if you order the chai as it will be difficult to pour into your cup. Had a friend who ordered it and spilt it on the table. Could be easily fixed if they put more thought into how customers have to pour there drink and not just make it look cute and trendy. Would definitely go back with the things in mind that I know now.
Definitely one of the best cafes in Adelaide! Great friendly customer service with a smile. Fantastic vibe/ambience. Great selection of food & drinks @ reasonable prices. Never disappoints! Thankyou
Really enjoyed my brunch smashed avo. Shame the customer service is so lacking. With the notable exception of the young man working the till, there was no attempt made to be friendly. There are so many other choices near this cafe where service is personable and welcoming. And the coffee is better. Won't bother returning
Food and coffee is great and this should be a great space to hang out, eat and chat. However, I have been here 3 times now. The first 2 times I thought it may just have been a once off but after going a third time I can say that the staff are rude, have attitude and are not very accommodating. After reading some of the other reviews on here it seems to be a fairly consistent problem.
I have been dining at Loose Caboose since they opened. However after my experience today, I won t be returning. The food is great... but to wait an hour for eggs on toast is unacceptable. We sat for 20 minutes once seated waiting to have our order taken, then during the further 40 minutes we waited no one asked if we would like to order more drinks (in the 38c) heat. When we said to the waiting staff it s taken an hour, they shrugged their shoulders and said it s busy and we have 2 big bookings. Perhaps before seating people you should tell them it s an hour wait for food because the kitchen is busy. Also, we were told the kitchen is small and can t fit another chef, mean while we saw the bags of Uber eats multiply on the counter. Maybe rethink the Uber eats if you aren t able to provide timely service to people who make the effort to come in and patronise your business... you ve ruined s good thing, we won t be back.
Lovely atmosphere and the food was great, loved the sparkling and still water on tap, nice and cold and as much as you wanted, all in all great experience.
weirdest experience here, we got here at 2:40pm one winters saturday and they were about to close up shop, we insisted that online it's advertised as open til 3:00. reluctantly, staff made us 3 takeaway lattes. i got one of their baked goods. all was well but i haven't been back since because multiple staff really weren't happy that we rocked up when we did lol. coffee was nice though. and the cookie was good
Terrible experiance. Incredibly slow and rude service. Coffee was bad as well with an almost sour taste. With the amount of amazing places to eat in Adelaide there is no reason to go to Loose Caboos. And finally after waiting over an hour and a half for food, eggs were over cooked truffle oil missing from dish etc.
An old railway station has been transformed into a wonderful restaurant. The food is always excellent - my favourite is the smashed avocado. Service is prompt and friendly. It has a great relaxed feel, always busy, so get there early. Parking is a bit scarce, but you can always catch the train.
Really cool cafe laid out inside the old railway station keeping its charm while adding a modern feel at the same time. The cafe offers a good well laid out seating both inside or out on the deck however did get a little noisy inside.
Both the service and food was exceptional however a little bit longer wait but this was due to how busy they where. Despite the super busy weekend morning brunch rush all the staff still provide good authentic service.
Rude staff with terrible service. We had to wait 30 minutes to order food. Food was bland and missing ingrediants. We told the staff and they did not care or apologize. Very disappointed
First impressions walking in were were: vibrant, hipster, clean.
Yes, it is more towards your regular hipster cafe. Old, redone building turned eatery. Dark bricks lined the walls, floors have been done up, decor gives a foundry kind of feel. Kudos to the place for free self-service sparkling/tap water.
Looking through the menu there was nothing really unique about this place compared to your other brunch service eateries. No menu item really stood out to me. Prices seemed average as well. Food was about a 20 minute wait on a busy Saturday late morning, which was quite decent. Service was on par to some of the better places.
Food itself was an 8.5-9/10. I had the Conductors Brunch which included chorizo, bacon, mushroom, poached eggs, tomato, avocado and sourdough. Everything fitted in well, chorizo was nicely flavoured and the bacon was the right amount of saltiness for everything else on the plate. The mushrooms were full of flavour and despite me disliking avocado, it was pleasant to spread over the sourdough like butter. Poached eggs were done perfectly, white just cooked and yolk golden and runny. And importantly, serving size was just right.
Overall, it was a pleasing dining experience. Despite their air-conditioning being broken on a 40 degree day.
Food acceptable/standard but coffee was really quite exceptional. They roast in house seem to take a lot of pride in their work, coffee-wise. Great espresso.
Great food, high prices, average customer service: The food was really nice, but pretty expensive for breakfast. Even though the majority of tables were empty, the lady allocating tables did not want to let my wife and I sit at a table of 4 to wait for our other two party members (who were due to arrive in two minutes). She made me phone our friends to make sure they were still going to come before she reluctantly agreed to let us sit at a table for four. Apart from that and the price it was an otherwise enjoyable experience.
The staff barely paid us any attention, were very slow to take our order and when they did they were quite rude. One of our orders of a big breakfast came out without eggs (the main part of the meal, meaning they presented a very bare plate), leaving us to wait for our meals to be cold until it was served. There was no compensation, and only a brief apology from one staff member. The fact that they would not substitute items on a menu that is only eggs and added items (no extra hassle, no extra cost) is ridiculous and simply money grabbing. 4.5$ for a side of mushroom means only three small mushrooms added to the side. It was a ridiculously expensive meal for average quality and very poor service.
Okay breakfast, small portions and only one piece of bread. Coffee wasn t the best also ripped me off as I paid for a large takeaway and was only filled up half way, expensive too.
Coffee was great, food was nice and staff were friendly and accommodating. The tables are positioned extremely close together in some areas which isn't the best for privacy, however, this is a very small negative. Overall 5 star review is very deserving.
Food was nice and well presented. What I was pretty offended by is the experience I had trying to change my infants nappy. There was no change table available and I was told there used to be one but it broke and the owner hasn t replaced it to which I asked if they could offer me an alternative. I didn t want to have to walk all the way back to my car in 30+ degree heat and change my baby in the hot car. The waitress shrugged and said I mean the disabled toilet is pretty big you can change her on the floor . Not a viable option in my opinion. I changed her in the entry way on a metal chair. Pretty disappointing, especially considering that there were at least three other babies in the cafe at that time. And that s on a Monday, so I dare say they get their fair share of families visiting.
Great food. Really nice place. Had a great vibe. The tea was made correctly. It was a little expensive but I happily paid. And the train actually stops there! Going back for sure.
Food was delicious and quick to come out. Despite what appeared to be a small serving size, we left feeling comfortably well fed. Staff were friendly and service was great.
Food is good, with an average portion size. But the service was the draw card. Food was served in less then 10 minutes, and polite and friendly wait staff.
One of my favorite cafes semi close to my house. I always manage to get a park which always plays on my mind while driving there. I find the building itself to be so beautiful and I sometimes think it makes the food even more beautiful. Sometimes it can get a bit loud whilst trying to eat but otherwise a fantastic cafe which has lasted some time
Great spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just general coffee catch ups. There s sparkling water free on tap and a great selection of cold and hot beverages depending on your mood or the weather! There s not too many car park spots directly out front but there s a few on First St and Station Pl which are easy to access and not far to walk.
Too inconsistent. Twice I've had delicious coffee and OK food, once I've poorly made over priced food and over extracted coffee.... Their In house coffee roaster is a really nice guy and the decor is cool, as is the self serve sparkling water. But my last visit, $18 for a small portion of watery portobello mushroom? No thanks.
After reading through the menu and deciding upon a dish (the smashed avocado) I asked the waiting staff if it was possible to exchange ingredients as I eat a vegan diet. She informed me that while they could exchange the ingredients, I would still need to pay the full price of the original dish plus the extras that we're my chosen substitutes. A quick look at the prices on the menu revealed that the dish would cost me a hefty $27. There were not many other options available for me to choose from (without making substitutes or alterations - aside from hot chips or toast), making my brunch experience a disappointing one. One star for coffee alone!
Could be a really cool cafe but the staff attitude was really unwelcoming and quite frankly rude. The coffee was good, but I won't be going back to a place where I'm spoken to poorly and everything I asked for seemed like an issue.
The food was so just delicious!! However, no seperate bills caused us to walk across the road to an ATM which was out of service. When we made the booking, no comment on no split bills was informed to us. In this day with how fast technology and pay pass is, I would recommend split bills. The toilets also smelt really bad and were dirty.
