Simply an awesome proper traditional Irish pub. Always have great craic hanging around, having am awesome pint of Guinness. Food is simple and traditional with a small twist. Ya can't beat traditional food with a twist. Just a little different from all others, which makes it nice.

We had a wonderful evening here and it was the perfect way to end our first day in Ireland! The chowder is amazing! The service was excellent. The view is amazing and live music was a bonus!
Walk through the bar to get to the restaurant in the back.

Really enjoyed a family lunch at the Glyde Inn three weeks ago a couple of days after our daughter's wedding and before the newly weds headed back to New Zealand where they live. Most of us had seafood which was really good. Service and atmosphere lovely and the views from the restaurant are spectacular! Would highly recommend Glyde Inn.

Food not up to pervious experiences. Sad Coeliac on Nollaig na Mna , Cold chicken and bacon salad lacked dressing.Had to ask get vingerett to lift same. Had checked on ordering about oil and gravy. So ordered Beef, mash and roasted Veg. Requested Carrots only. Plate looked fab. Beef was lovely. Mash not nice at all, Roasted veg .. dissapointingly boiled!! Except potato.

Nice staff. Nice setting seaside gastropub. But don't know where they get there food awards from. Food is average and well overpriced. 25 euro for frozen scampi and chips. Manky stir fry with 5 pieces of chicken. Tried to charge 4 euros for noodles, which should be part of stir fry. Do yourself a favour and go only for a drink.

Very nice restaurant and bar set by the seaside of Togher co Louth .. Serving beautiful food especially locally caught sea food.. Also every year a food festival called Taste of Togher takes place with stall holders of local artisan producers selling their produce and offering samples also.

Was very underwhelmed after all the hype. Food was average with poor presentation and the staff today were not well trained. Pub looked good but we were driving so just went for the food. Menu looked good. The advertised prawns on skewers were replaced by frozen prawns in a spiced red sauce over a soggy piece of bread. Very ordinary. The fish was good but the chip portion was small and lots of small broken pieces. Plates were cold. No condiments on the table. Coffee was cold. All told food was ok but was without flair and really I can't figure out how it won these awards. Nobody asked if we enjoyed our meal - if they had I would have preferred to tell them directly rather than here, as I'm not in the habit of leaving poor reviews. Views out the back were good. 70 for two of us for 3 courses plus coffee - so not expensive, but it could be so much better with a little attention to detail and some staff training. I will come back another day and see if it was just an off day!

Good variety of wholesome food. Not a bad pint of Guinness. Good local music with local musicians on various nights. Would recommend a visit. Go for the craic or a quiet pint or to learn some local history -Viking related. Its an old style bar with lots of knick-knacks behind the counter - great for 'I spy' game with the kids....if they're bored.
Enjoy a meal with friends or family in the front lounge area or in the back restaurant which looks out onto the sea. Most of , if not all, the food is sourced locally too.
Friendly propiertor & staff.

We were on our way home from galway to Belfast and wanted somewhere good to eat. We came off at junction 15 and after a 10 minute drive through castlebellingham and beautiful countryside we arrived at the Glyde inn which was perfect. We were seated outside in the sunshine with great seaside views. The food was served promptly and was fresh and well cooked. We had smoked salmon and brown bread and fabulous scampi
Great Guinness too. Well worth a visit
