great sea view. Food was ok but could be better. Service really disappointing. Very slow and not very helpful. We're waiting for food ages and we had to ask for dessert ordered before. They never served coffees we ordered because they forgot. We left unhappy and tired with waiting. Pity because location is perfect

Total disgrace kids meal with gone off sausages chicken strips 2 on the plate 2 small bits of lettuce no dressing and the wings with no sauce not acceptable at all this used to be a good restaurant but we will never be back manager disinterested and no clue how to deal with people

It wasn't overly busy but we were twenty minutes plus waiting for our order to be taken. I ordered a ceased salad. Simple and uncomplicated I would've thought. But it was an awful excuse for a meal to hand to anyone. The chicken was tiny pieces and dried up and the bacon I could've broken a tooth on. No parmasan and a drizzle of dressing. I was never so disappointed. I didn't complain and I'm sorry I didn't. I won't be back.

Me and my partner went in for an early dinner. The service was horrendous. The waitress seemed very impatient for us to just order and get out. Then my partners wine was full of sediment.
The food which was massively overpriced and underwhelming. When we finally got our food I had a piece of fish which was overcooked and bland. My partner had noodles which were a greasy mess and just tasted rotten.
The only good thing here were the views and the chips.

What has happened?
This place needs to sort itself out as its in one of the best locations in Ireland.

Excellent surroundings in a very intimate setting.
The staff are extremely helpful and polite, the choice of food available, is based on, but not exclusive to the outstanding locally caught seafood.
Recently took my young family for a Sunday meal. Everybody was completely satisfied and really enjoyed the visit.

If you re lucky and you end up coming to O Neill s pub (The Glyde Inn) on a night with a trad session and only the front room open, it is the best experience ever. Cuddle up by the fireplace, listen to the tunes and have a sip of your favourite drink. The owning family is very friendly and has been around for ages. Would recommend a visit!

This is a lovely pub and restaurant and the food is always good. However we called in today for lunch and there was only soup and sandwiches available. No problem. We both ordered vegetable soup and a chicken salad sandwich.
We got two small bowls of soup and the most pathetic sandwiches ever seen, brown bread, butter and chicken.......no salad, mayonnaise or dressing of any kind. On request they brought out some mayo and a bowl of dry salad leaves.
The bill for the above with a pot of tea for two came to 24.60. A total ripoff.
Sad to see a business letting their standards slip like this.

Great pub, friendly staff, fantastic picturesque location will cool views across towards Cooley peninsula from the beach front beer garden (great on a summers day). They had really tasty 3 mini slider burgers on a board in the pub when I was there and restaurant for finer dining.

This rating given as the day we visited - the first Monday in July, we didn't have a great experience here. Having returned to this venue with high hopes based on a really pleasant first experience, we ended up being very disappointed, as communicated to our server. The service was very slow, with no acknowledgment of this. Finally, very hungry kids were served tiny meals. I know it was a Monday and apparently they was only one chef on duty but the server really didn't seem to care or have the responsibility to care. It was disappointing as the first visit there a couple of years ago was great. Maybe we just got them on a bad day.

Amazing country pub with super friendly staff and stunning views that serves up delicious food. Really nice feel to it, make sure to order yourself a nice meal and grab a seat outside if it is not raining to really soak in the views!

Called in today to the above Glyde Inn. After entering I went to the bar area asked if they had soup I was told they had vegatable soup. I ordered the vegatable soup and a sandwich I was asked what I would like in it so I got a chicken salad sandwich on two slices of white bread. I then went to the back of the in the restaurant part and was served there. Soup was passable no slice of bread with it 4.95 Euros and the Sandwich pardon the pun took the biscuit it cost 7.45 Euros! Apart from the above service and scenery were excellent. Just thought 12.40 for a soup and sandwich was over the top. Please note I communicate d this to the manager afterwards.

Decor & atmosphere where nice, fiod was good as well as service. Probably would have been nicer if there were more people there but an overall good.
One complaint which is it was a little cold in the restaurant

Fantastic food especially the scampi. Unbelievable outdoor area with the sea practically lapping at your feet with stunning views of the Cooley and Mourne mountains. Only a moan not a complaint in the slightest but the service could have been a tad quicker.

If you stop at the restaurant, I highly recommend sitting outside. The scenery alone is worth a stop. We stopped for a late lunch on our way to Limerick from Northern Ireland and were pleasantly surprised. Food is good, local beer also worth trying.

A small delegation from BIM/ FLAG North East visited producers in the North East inc. The Glyde Inn in Annigassan for a soup and panini lunch special. Fast friendly service matched with quality local produce. As a frequent visitor I enjoy the hospitality of this family-run artisan Pub and Restaurant. Bravo!

Really nice food and atmosphere.

Really nice food and atmosphere.
If you get there on a Sunday, you get treated to some music from locals. Clogherhead fish and chips are super nice.

One of the best places for Basic Fish and Chips on the East Coast.. Not cheap but huge helping s and mega fresh. We are now regulars, and waiting impatiently for the CV19 reopening.. It would rate the Fish and Chips higher than the excellent Scampi

We had a tasty seafood chowder in the bar despite, getting in there at the last minute.

We were also fortunate to get a room speculatively on Saturday night. Even better, it had both sea and mountain views - stunning. The room was light and bright.

The staff were pleasant and John, the owner, great craic. Thanks to all of you.
