Was very underwhelmed after all the hype. Food was average with poor presentation and the staff today were not well trained. Pub looked good but we were driving so just went for the food. Menu looked good. The advertised prawns on skewers were replaced by frozen prawns in a spiced red sauce over a soggy piece of bread. Very ordinary. The fish was good but the chip portion was small and lots of small broken pieces. Plates were cold. No condiments on the table. Coffee was cold. All told food was ok but was without flair and really I can't figure out how it won these awards. Nobody asked if we enjoyed our meal - if they had I would have preferred to tell them directly rather than here, as I'm not in the habit of leaving poor reviews. Views out the back were good. 70 for two of us for 3 courses plus coffee - so not expensive, but it could be so much better with a little attention to detail and some staff training. I will come back another day and see if it was just an off day!
