I called four times over the course of one week. And actually been to their office on Shoup Drive. Which just happens to be about a ten minute walk from my house. The website, and also the actual door do not have the hours of operation.
My tab was simply 15.94. Final statement was sent to my old apartment in Rexburg, Idaho from Falls River Medical, in Rexburg, December 2016.

So, in the course of two years I was never told about a bill. Only to get a letter, remember that it is from an office that I can walk to, on July 3. 2018. Stating that they will take legal actions if I don't pay within ten days. The date on the statement was 6/25/2018. I had 3 days. In those days, no one returns my calls, or picks up. I even emailed. Still waiting on the reply.

Now, the office does not have a drop box. And no way I'm sending a check in the mail for a office I can walk to.

So, I look online. And try to pay. Remember, 15.94. The minimal amount accepted is 50. Which means, for a bill of 15.94 was charged to be 34.06 dollars more. Sadly, to avoid a suit,I coughed up the money.

So, one star. Good jobs guys, remember that they have 30 years of experience.

And can someone explain the website? Go red to black? Or is it, gored to black?

Is there an option lower than one star? This is obviously a money hungry recovery services business. To see the local news story on what they do to recover their money and then try to squeeze even more out of a person like a turnip is pathetic. The BBB needs to review this business and make changes NOW.

I have tried calling them for over two months with no answer and have left multiple messages. I have this debt I need to pay and cannot come in due to moving. Very very displeased -.-

This company needs to be shut down. I went in and paid my debts in full over $2600 and 2 months later they still posted a collection to my credit report that i have paid. They have lied to experian credit bureau and certified that i still owe this debt.

This so called business is run by total human waste. They charge enormous fees because Troll Smith and Troll Zollinger own the business and then become the lawyers for the business so they can charge twice the amount. Real pieces of garbage.

I had an unpaid medical bill that was referred to this collection agency. I got a notice in the mail and I called MRS to get this taken care of. They were very nice to me and they were not aggressive about recovering the debt. They set me up with a very affordable payment plan and are always cordial when I come in.

They are always pleasant when I call to make a payment.

This company is worse than a bad loan shark not only do they lie to clients but they also use the court to commit FRAUD. I've tried dealing with them for multiple years now and they still continue to take state and federally protected funds from people with help from the court while they perjure themselves lying about facts that are not true while in Court.
At this point I'd advise anyone trying to deal with them to stop and get a lawyer and sue them back to the stone age.
Newsflash MRS its illegal to take money your not owed that's called robbery.

As far as collection agencies go, they are very nice. Very helpful and kind. they don't call on a daily basis harassing you.

If I could rate this company any lower, I would. For now, a one star review will have to suffice. First and foremost, Medical Recovery Services sent a bill that my wife owed to an old residence that was on her driver's license. Before we even knew about the debt, a letter finally made its way to us threatening to sue.

After we found out, we did in fact try to negotiate a payment plan, but they were unwilling to settle. And of course, they cashed the checks we sent in every month. We figured if they filed a lawsuit against us (which they eventually did after a few months) then we would have evidence that we couldn t afford the payments to defends ourselves with in court. So, I sent in an income verification as proof that we were reasonably trying to pay off the debt. I had USPS track it. In order to receive the letter, it has to be signed. I called to confirm if it was received and they denied that it came (even though USPS confirmed that it was received and signed for). MRS even confirmed that it was the same address I used to mail the letter. I believe that they withheld this information in order to strengthen their lawsuit. They truly are a dishonest, uncooperative company that preys on people for money (doubling, sometimes tripling attorney fees). Thank God for Frank Vandersloot and sticking it to Smith and Zollinger.

I would advise anyone who deals with Medical Recovery Services to hire a lawyer, record their phone conversations, and provide proof of every
staff was rude and unprofessional for the entire duration of their contact. I spoke to one person that offered to settle for payments but the manager rescinded their offer and told us it wouldn't work. Our conversations became more and more contentious to the point where a supervisor, named Macey (watch out for this one), wouldn't bother listening to us. She hung up on me and told her staffs to refuse our calls. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I'm willing to bet this company has bankrupted more individuals and couples than any collection agency in Eastern Idaho.

They are relentless and the office is full of conniving people with no hearts. They do not care about even serving people when they need it.

They manager treated me rude and the agent treated me rude and they threatened to take me to court but not serve me legally I cannot do that I go a bill from physician imdeiate care and they never took my insurance just sent it here I owe them a whopping 224 dollars I will pay that off and let this company know not to have anything to do with me they brake the law and they have rude customer service I will let the owner know

I am a citizen that has lived in Idaho Falls for many years. I have never dealt with a debt collection but just want to say this company and the 2 so called lawyers should be ashamed of taking advantage of people! I hope the FBI investigates them. I also would assume that they belong belong to a religion here that would not be happy how they have treated their fellow men. Are you honest in your dealings?? They should be punished for being dishonest! So they can brag about all the money they have made! ! All the while hurting and taking advantage. And also the Judges involved that did not stop them. I am so glad that Frank has stepped up, to help those being cheated by this company.

I have never had an issue, I found out about an outstanding bill that I never received. I started making payments and it was easy and convenient. the ladies in the office were great- I just paid monthly until is was paid off.

Wish i could rate lower. I was informed my bills were paid off per our agreement. 1 year later i was served papers by their troll lawyers saying I owe $1300 on a $400 bill. I have 2 months to pay or they file judgment lien house and garnish wages. When i called and asked M.R.S They said yes you paid all your bills but we missed one. So how is this my fault, they said it's with our lawyers too bad.

Everyone that is employed at this place I hope and wish you and all your loved ones die of horrible death

There is a reason these collections Natzi's have an F Better Business rating. Look at their list of complaints! They have caused more medical bankruptcies in Idaho than all other creditors combined. Their fees and interest rates can easily double a bill before the person even realizes they had a bill sent to collections. They could care less if the original bill was an error, a bill that should have been paid by insurance and turned into collections without the person's knowledge, a loved ones bill that has died, an ex spouse that in no way is the person's responsibility. They hurry and double the bill or triple the bill then file for a court date as quickly as possible with little to no effort to inform the person. Countless people have been sent to jail for medical bills by this horrible company. Any companies thinking of having this company do their collections take note! Idaho is full of small communities where news travels fast, especially with social media. Is it really worth risking someone posting on social media that poor old Granny Smith was arrested today because she thought Medicaid paid her bill and "Insert Your Comapny Name here" chose to use Medical Recovery Services as your collection company, a company with very little research is shown to have caused so many hardships for so many good and honest people. Look at how many judges and other attorneys have made negative comments about how this company conducts business!

If I could give a negative review I would I have over paid a bill with them and they say I still owe them over 1000 dollars went and talked to a attorney through vandersloots program well I must say that mr. beard really dropped the hall for me. I showed him the proof that I had over paid between check stubs and bank statements. Well here we go again have a garnishment for the 1000 they declare I still owe them. My bill was 4000 I paid them 4700 with interest and everything and here I sit paying more money. I am extremely dissatisfied with vandersloots attorneys that are hired to handle this I had two emails from him and one meeting and boom garnishment. When i finish over paying them any other 1080 I m sure they will continue the garnishment they love the money and bleeding the lower class of Idaho dry.

My wife had to have a minor but emergency procedure. We don't qualify for any medical assistance and we cannot afford private insurance. We have been in contact with the company who did the procedure the whole time. Due to covid we had to close both of our businesses down and have had no income coming in. She received a letter from MRS today claiming they were going to a lawsuit/judgement against her. Bryon Smith and Brian zollinger are crooks. They never tried to contact my wife and resolve the issue like a true idahoan citizen would do. These folks want to run for office all while robbing the poor folk who keep Idaho going. This company should be shut down. They are a disgrace to what Idaho stands for.

Calling this company a joke, would be underestimating. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. If your a business man, or owner, ect. Such as I am. And your Looking for a place to collect debt for you dont use this company. Why? Because they cant, or should I say wont? I dont have debt, I worked very hard to get my credit to a place I could by a house, achieved that. Pulled my credit after noticed my credit has been getting hit every month since 2016 due too a lady name getting attached too my social security number. Which she has 17 accounts in collections that were all hitting my credit. 4 of the collections were through different agencies that jumped above and beyond to get it taken care of off my credit, well medical recovery services joke for a company mister business "man" old lazy man looks at the credit report I took in showing MRS is reporting bad debt to my name that is not my debt. His answer and resolution was i dont know what to tell you. It's not my problem. Being i run a company I make mistakes were all human i go to every length to correct them. This ridiculous crooked lazy company is a joke I would not use them for absolutely anything I hope someone Sue's whoever owns this company for everything they have!

This place sued my wife for an accident that happened in 2014, they said they attempted to contact multiple times she just recently moved in 2017 and has not changed her phone number so no attempt to contact was made. I will be taking this to the BBB

Less than 1 star. MRC made a mistake by attempting to collect a bill in Jan 2019. We and the doctor informed them that the bill was paid at the doctor's office in Dec 2018. The doctor informed them of their mistake. Than we got another bill from MRS in July 2019 for the same paid bill. We asked them fix their and the doctor's mistake AGAIN by informing the 3 credit bureaus with a letter so that the FALSE collection is removed from ALL bureaus. They refused to be accountable by saying they would only inform Asperian credit bureau but said it was up to us to send a letter to the other bureaus. This FALSE debt can stay on credit bureaus until the person's credit report for its to be removed by a letter. MRS is not an accountable company. We all make mistakes and should go to all possible lengths to correct them to be regarded as honorable.
