We saw a play at the Johnny Carson Theater, " An Act of God" fantastic acting and a great show. I really loved the Johnny Carson memorabilia inside too! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It's cool they display Art in the building. I do like the lighting from the outside. The staff were helpful in finding our seats. The sign for food and beverage were confusing and there were different signs that displayed. I do feel they could take a few pieces of advice from the Orpheum (Omaha, NE) since they are both Theaters.

The Lied hosts some of the finest talent in the world. Has well laid out seating that is quite comfortable. I have seen the Kierov Ballet, Bolshoi, Chris Botti, Blue Man, etc. They offer family friendly shows as well for kids. Just a lovely place to enjoy the high arts without having to endure the stuffiness of haute couture.

This is a great venue. The sound quality is good regardless of the city you're in. Some of the seats could be better aligned for the stage but overall it'll be an enjoyable experience for every sit. the staff there are courteous and the ushers do a really good job of getting it to your seats in a professional manner.

The Lied Center is beautiful. We were here for the International Thespian Festival and watched several shows here. There isn't a bad seat in the place. We sat in the balcony and had a great view of everything. If you get the chance to watch a show in the Lied Center, jump on it. You will not regret it.

Always love seeing shows here. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The seat numbers can be confusing at times (i.e. there is a left orchestra seat 5, center orchestra seat 5, and right orchestra seat 5) so you need to pay attention to your specific section! Definitely not a deal breaker though, just something to be mindful of!

When comparing the Lied to other performing arts centers, the Lied is behind the times. The acoustics are very poor. Depending on where you're sitting, it can be difficult to hear. The people, accommodations, etc. are great.

Made my first trip to the Lied center to see Phantom yesterday, and neither the show nor the facility disappointed.

As others mentioned, the central location is ideal for dining before or after the show, and offers ample parking at reasonable rates ($5 for event parking at a nearby garage).

The seats we had afforded us an excellent view of the stage (and the chandelier... great set piece). The sound was incredible, and I can't say enough how nice it was to have so much leg room! It is definitely not like being crammed into the tight rows of the Orpheum theater in Omaha or other older theater houses. The seats were incredibly comfortable.

I was surprised they allowed drinks and snacks (oh, the smell of those roasted cashews was delightful) back into the theater after intermission, but it was a happy surprise to be able to sip hot coffee during the final act.

The show is deserving of its own 5-star review, but a lot of its success has to be derived from the site of the performance, and in this regard the Lied center shined as a brilliant co-star. I look forward to going back for more performances later this season!

I have seen a number of shows at the Lied Center, and I have always enjoyed myself whether its comedy or off Broadway plays, I feel that the actors and the quality of the performances are elevated by the proper acoustics so that I can here every word

The play I went to go see was pretty awesome, but I felt that they (as in the lied center) didn't "shock" the theatre appropriately. "Shock" in this context means to overly cool the stadium down with AC before it is filled with people. In most places I have been where they are expecting hundreds if not thousands of people this is the common practice so as to keep every one comfortable. Body heat with that many people is no joke.
The production was amazing! No joke I and the people I went there with were very sweaty and uncomfortable because of the heat.

Brings in a wonderful variety of performers for all ages and most tastes. Can't think of a bad seat in the house, except maybe right down where you'd be craning your neck! Enjoy the pre-show talks. Appreciate the smaller venue of the Johnny Carson Theatre space as well.

Had a fantastic afternoon at the Annual holiday show. The dancing beyond boundaries group was fantastic. Honestly brought tears to me eyes and I'm proud admit it. LSO was terrific, the staff and crew were amazing.

I cant describ the lied center witg words. It is the main art hub in Lincoln. Great shows. I watched the Phantom of the Opera about a week ago (as a student of UNL, I got a free ticket to the show as part of Arts for All program) well, it is a. Amazing place planning to go tonight to :)

Plenty of close parking. Excellent sound theatre. Too bad so many people lack proper theatre manners nor seem to care about the enjoyment of those also in attendance. Talking during performance, use of cell phones (the light is as distracting as the ring), allowing children to come & go unrestricted, entering or exiting during performance and use of flashlite or phone to light their path nevermind stepping on the feet of those seated in their way. Ushers could have been of assistance with this but really, when did this become so common at public attendance venues?

Went here for one of my kids school field trip. The price was ok for the show we went to. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy. Would have given 5 stars but the place/look seems a little dated and it's a long walk to the restroom.

Great atmosphere. Seat pillows for little ones and friendly ushers. The bonus was a clean bathroom with toilet seat covers!!!! Fresh flowers throughout the theater which was a nice touch.
