Food was very tasty, staff are friendly _ welcoming.

Service was very poor considering they were not busy. Took ages for our order to be taken. Then another long delay for food to be served. Food itself was good, if not very hot, by the time it arrived, even chips were nearly cold. Would have sent it back but was too hungry!

Food was OK reasonable prices, but please don't forget to give your car details in, I didn't realise that I had to, so got a fine, which I'm still trying to sort out, even after contacting this place

Wouldn't recommend it we went after going to the winter wonderland at the snowdome we found a table big enough for 4 adults and 2 children but it was covered in plates sauces food broken crayons spillages so we had to clean our own table up before we sat down (they were all covered in rubbish) then we ordered our food and they forgot one of our sides the food was nice then we ordered pudding then 20 mins later they came out to tell us they had no ice cream or cookies left which 2 of our friends ordered and myself and my husband ordered the bakewell tart and custard and the custard was cold (wasn't meant to be) we'd just had enough and left.

Got seated upon arrival fairly quickly as we had pre-booked.Kids were given thier colouring sheets/menus and 6 blunt pencils. Sounds trivial, but why bother giving out blunt pencils? Kids became grumpy and frustrated when they tried to use them.
We had paid for the meal deal in advance when we paid for our room at the Premier Inn.
Once seated with menus we then waited 30 mins for someone to take our order. Quite thirsty too by this point! . Sick of waiting, we bought drinks at the bar.
While we were waiting for service, two couples turned up at front of house. After nearly 10 mins, when noone attended them, they gave up and left. By now, we were wishing that we hadnt paid for the meal deal up front and tbat we could also leave.
A table close to us managed to finish thier meal, get the table cleaned, be offered a desert menu and be served thier desserts, yet we hadnt managed to get a drink ordered!
Had to flag down someone to take our orders.
Starters were OK. Didnt take too long to arrive. While waiting for our mains to arrive we flagged someone down to ask for another round of drinks. After 30 mins we once again had to go to the bar to buy drinks as the ones ordered at the table had not arrived.
Main course arrived eventually. Drinks didnt. Childrens portions were tiny! Would maybe fill a 3 year old. Not enough for a 6 year old. Adult meals were well sized and well cooked. But by this point the kids were knackered and ready for bed and we were annoyed with the shoddy service so didnt even finish.
Still waiting for our drinks to arrive....
Asked for the bill so we could get the tired kids to bed.
Bill arrived with the cost of the round of drinks that had never materialised on it. Rather peed off by this point. Had to get the cost removed from the bill.
I understand that there will be busy periods, but there is little excuse for such poor service. The place was not at capacity and there seemed to be a lot of staff around.
We wont buy the meal deal again. Really unimpressed.

Friendly and helpful staff with fast service would definitely go again.

Yeh... its a food chain - nice and clean and friendly and what ye'd expect - parking was a big hassle as work on the hotel was being done when we where there

always good steaks here,a little small on the portions and pricey if you have 2 steaks so for a good steak yes for a belly buster its a flaming grill

With so many options of where to eat, it's important to remember customer service and going the extra mile. This Beefeater has either forgotten or is far too busy despite the lack of customers when we went. The greeter was uninterested in the report of their postcode taking us to a field and not to them and informed up that it was whitbread's problem. We thought the manager might be more amenable... But she has had a new feature installed. I have never seen a human autoresponder before but she has the latest model. Whatever you tell her, she fails to care, settling for her preprogrammed prompt to just give free drinks. We turned them down to make a point that we're not trying get free stuff, there's a fundamental problem with your business and we'd like some basic customer service.

Then to the food.... Which was good but not worth travelling for. Service from a lad who constantly referred to us as "my darlings" and circulated from table to table engaging in conversation at the expense of actually bringing the things he had been asked for. Whilst he was lovely, he wasnt very effective. We had a reasonable meal but a customer experience of much waiting, little care about the customer and no reason to want to stay for pudding or ambiance. For the record, pudding and ambiance are why we go out.

Cost wise, we had a discount offer which was a contributing factor to why we went and this made it around a tenner each but for the meal we had, full price would be over priced. And the option of a standard dessert starting at a fiver?! I'm good thanks.

Unhelpful staff told no.tables for 45 minutes when restaurant nearly empty would not recommend to anyone

Slow service, but very busy . seemed understaffed. Good value good and waitress very friendly

Lovely place to go, it's clean, staff are wonderful & polite, food is great and very filling especially for the price you definitely get what you paid for, alcohol tastes alot nicer here as well. The atmosphere is nice and calm very beneficial if you suffer anxiety doesn't feel like people are staring at you. Definitely recommend

It was not busy and yet we had slow service and the food was cold. I would not go back in a hurry.

A rather unusual beefeater, there seems to be staffing issues despite it being rather busy, the hotel attached seems to cause issues with table bookings.
When I visited a flamboyant gent who appeared to have the role of waiter/greater/host/trainer was teaching a new manager with no further members of staff on the floor, I waited 10-15 mins to have my order taken and the same for the food, this is dispite on arrival there being 5/6 other tables occupied
When the kitchen staff got my food to me I was told that "things would be much easier if (gents name) actually did some work" , to be fair I would have to agree as my steak was not cooked as I'd asked but I'd given up by this point and just wanted to eat, once I had eaten and all of the staff had passed me quite a bit (another 15 or so mins) I decided I'd had enough and couldn't be bothered to get the pudding I wanted, payed my bill and wondered to the McDonald's across the road for a better service, such a shame as my 2nd visit was slightly better but still heavily under staffed

Waited 10 mins for someone to come to restaurant desk chips were cold and when went outside there was broken glass all over the floor

Had the breakfast here as was staying in the premier inn next door but have to say that the breakfast here was terrible the food was cold the sausage tasted like rubber due to the fact of them being over cooked then left to go cold I think they have a problem with there heat plate would deffinaterly not recommend there breakfast and the fried eggs was half runny half cooked the scrambled egg was to watery and should be alot thicker with better flavouring

The only plus at this restaurant was the evening meal on the 9th of october was of a suitable standard the waitress we had was great at customer service and good with my kids.

But there is only one minor fault the restaurant needs to be more accommodating for children I.e not giving childrens drinks in actual adult glasses but to do kids drinks in bottles and to also have kids cutlery aswell.

Long wait for food and it was cold when it came out and items from the mixed grill were missing but to be fair when we complained they replaced our meals which were then really good and we got free dessert and a bottle of wine. It was also first day of a new menu so that was causing issues it hasn't put us off going back to give it a second chance

Took an age to order and then for food / drinks to arrive. I'd suggest that they need additional wait staff.

Literally the WORST staff so ignorant and neglegent took 15 minutes to seat us despite it being empty no apology for our wait when we finally was seated then had to track down the staff again to order our food. The bar service was so slow it was insane. The only staff member that was nice was a girl with nice glasses with glitter on the sides of them. The rest need replacing!!

I am currently staying at the premier inn next door and have a meal deal each night for this place.overall it's ok.staff are very friendly the food is average.

Been going here for 10 years. The service had always been slow but the food is good so if your not in a rush then it 'was' a good place to be. We went a few months ago and my starter arrived before the drink. We then finished the starter just as the drinks arrived. The empty starter plates sat on the table for nearly 30 mins by which time we had almost finished the first drinks and so ordered another round. When the main course turned up we still hadn't received our 2nd drinks and the table next to us were also complaining. The 2nd round eventually turned up as we had almost finished the main course. By this time we had been in there well over 2 hours and decided we just didn't want to wait any longer to order dessert.

On this and the previous occasion the food had also been poor. In fact on the previous visit the mains came out BEFORE we finished the starter so they took them back. When they returned my wife's cod was burned and my burger was like an old piece of leather. Our family meal was ruined!

Anyway, we were silly enough to try them again but after the waiting times and the so-so food on the more recent visit we will NOT be returning again.

Really nice food which I got with a room deal at the hotel next door. Only reason why not a five star is that I had to wait ages for the serving staff. That said they were all friendly once engaged.

Even in these strange and difficult times the staff were spot on polite and very efficient

Slow service, food ok. Kids burger burnt and chewy. Present staff. Car park being 're done so not enough car spaces at the mow.

We ordered our food and it didn't come with the things stated on the menu then we asked for sauce it took so long most people had finished their meals. The staff were quite rude and not inviting.

Service was alright food was nice. Think they could do with some more staff and more thought into table layout.

Food was ok. Staff were ok apart from one member called matthew who made our experience the best by his polite, well mannered, apologetic ways.
No organisation at all, starters and mains come out together. Other people food was delayed ( we had finished ours by tike they had there starter)

Then waited 20minutes for 2 childrens icecreams to then have to go and ask for it. Then our friends to be over charged and not recieved part of meal deal. Wouldnt go again and gave it 3 stars for the fact Matthew made it abit better.. wouldnt go back. & pay to park outside!!! (Know know we could of claimed it back but no one told us at the time)

Went for a drink with family. Only one person behind the bar with a queue of people waiting to be served. Tables left unclean and very little atmosphere.

Not great ! If you want staff with attitude who argue over reservation requests then this is the place for you ..

Long wait for 3 adult and 2 toddler meals. All came at different times. Meals were nice but let down by wait.

Breakfast was a bit cold again, and a bit pricey.

No beer, no lager at the bar, The food is overpriced, service extremely slow and staff threw cutlery on the table, leaving one napkin between four people .There was a long wait between courses, and we only received half of our starter!!...There was no condiments available, and when staff bought them to our table the salt was empty, staff seem to be uninterested in serving customers, too busy chatting to each other. This has to be the worst dinning experience I have ever had.The upholstery on chairs, looks appalling... only gave this one star as zero isn't an option

Excellent food served by extremely efficient and friendly staff.

Extremely expensive even with a 40% discount code.
Steaks came with no vegetables.
They didn t have 3 things we ordered off the menu as they had run out.
Food was very average and a little cold.
The only positive was the waiter, he was very polite and courteous.

Said there was a 30 minute wait... Most tables were empty.

Shocking service got in and didnt get asked for 15 mins for our food order then some staff were just chatting at the tills and not serving people, went in at 8.20 didn't get starter till 8.50 which was prawn cocktail and didnt get our mains till 9.15. prawn cocktail starter had ice on the cucumber, main course chips were stone cold with the chicken. Green vegetables side order also was cold. Told waitress but didn't even take the cold items off the bill. Will not be going back.

Why not more stars? I'm not that keen on the buffet format because I find myself going back for more and stuffing my face. I know I could choose to eat less, but then it would be pretty poor value.

Been a few times in the last couple of months and always had nice food and pleasant staff.. well done

Terrible. Freezing cold, no staff, place looked closed from the outside. Didn't stay.

After 3 booking confirmation emails, upon arrival no reservation on their sysyem, trying to pass the blame on to anyone they could, most embarrasing when organising a party of friends, food was good but service was snail slow. highly reccomend giving it a miss !

Very accomadating. Walked in on spec that explained the restaurant was full but we could order from the bar. Same menu as the restaurant steaks were amazing took a little while for the food to come out but it was cooked to perfection.

With been a vegetarian....the sweet potato and feta lasagne was one of the best lasagnes I've had in a long while. Cheap but great food x

I always set my expectations low when I visit a chain restaurant such as a Beefeater, but our meal was particularly bad. It looked like all 4 meals had several rounds in a microwave... Dry and pretty tasteless would have got 1 star if it wasn't for the lovely Silvia! Won't be going back any time soon.

Went in on xmas day and was told by the manager i was not welcome to have a drink diners only this is my local and i drink here most nights as its walking distance for me and the dog to sit outside. Manager was very rude to me and other locals.

Nice food but the place was freezing! Had to eat with my coat on!!

Limited menu but good food and good social distancing

I have eaten here before and it's been ok, not this time. Considering it's called Beef eater you would think the cook would know the difference between medium and medium rare. We where supposed to have unlimited chips or salad but at no point did we get an opportunity to ask for ether as the staff only came to the table if you could manage to flag one of them down. Not once did we get asked if are meals where ok . Had to grab them for condiments and ice to chill the warm white wine. The only time the staff member came to the table, was to see if we wanted to pay as she was going off shift. We hadn't even finished are main meal at this point let alone made a decision on puddings or coffee. The place wasn't packed so they should have been able to serve the table properly. Ultimately it didn't spoil are evening but it did leave me with the thought of next time it would be another restaurant getting my custom.

Gorgeous food and plenty of choice, friendly staff but service lets it down they seem understaffed was waiting a long time for plates to be cleared and service for desserts .

We visited Beefeater Ladybridge this evening at approximately 5pm. We waited at the bar for 15 minutes to be served. As no one came to serve us we left the bar feeling extremely disappointed that the service was so poor.

Very disappointed as me an my family had an over night stay at days inn an thought as it was a family restaurant we could visit here to have food. Firstly i thought the car park was very small an very tight to park an get children out of More

Visiting from Northern Ireland. Food was very good but apart from that I can't say anything else was. When we first called in we were told they were fully booked so we left but as our hotel is beside it we didn't go far and I was able to go online and book a table so we called back in. Took 10 mins past our booking time to get a table, took over 30 mins to get drinks, food took a further 30 mins to come out. Ordered a meal with unlimited refills but as it took so long I only had one drink. After we finished we sat at our table with dirty plates for about 20 mins before having to ask for our bill which after no sign of it for 15 mins went up to the till ourselves. We eventually left with dirty plates still on our table. Although the food was very good it didn't outweigh the poor service. Very disappointing.
