...thats IF onedoesnt mind 'the dining yappers' who plow in for their 'eight b4 eight' specials( and who COULD CARE LESS bout what's happpening on stage! My husband and I have been there for several shows-it can get real obnoxious trying to hear what's being played (esp the quiet passages) with all this nonsensical cacophony going on! Quite sure its rather annoying to the musicians who are playing their instruments too!

It amazing how people can be so thoughtless and ignorant when it comes to appreciating music-let alone jazz music!!

Not against patrons who want to be served their meals-but there should be a cut off time,like say 9 o'clock. Then the live music should start then. Yes there are some folks who WANT to hear whats going on stagewise, not some boistrious in the back conversation that could be HEARD loud and clearly up front competing with the music! (Really A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G are those inane 'Phyllis Diller' like gaffaws-ugh!)

Oh we will still go to the Jazz Kitchen, but WILL come much later after those 'early birds' have picked up their tails and gone home to bed! (Yep 5 AM rolls around early for their JOBS JOBS JOBS!!)

I went for Cajun and it was awesome. The only thing bad was the table was almost in the kitchen. About 120.00 for 2 plates and some wine.

Absolutely wonderful establishment ! Great food, wonderful drinks and the music was phenomenal. I'm so excited for many more nights this Summer

I think the venue is nice I think the price for the food and drinks are pretty expensive and the admission is an Over kill.

Great food. The split entertainment was different. The fact that they made you pay separate cover charges for each didn't seem fair.

Another wonderful evening at the Jazz Kitchen! 25 years of great music!

Our rehearsal dinner and wedding were catered by the Jazz Kitchen. Our rehearsal dinner was in their adorable event room in the back of their dinner theater. We had a medley of small plate options and all were raved over by our guests! Furthermore, being able to open the doors and a large window opening to have the ambience of a live jazz band playing in the front of the theater made the environment surreal and simply an incredible experience for our guests and us! As for the wedding at the Indianapolis Art Center, the Jazz Kitchen's food and service was impeccable! Every conversation we had with guests led to the same responses, "the best...!" or "one of the best...!" meals and service they'd ever experienced at an event. Luann, the crew, and the food made all of our guests and us feel like royalty! We, with excitation, recommend the Jazz Kitchen to cater your event!

Wonderful atmosphere! Courteous management and staff. Great musicians! Really worth the 2 hour drive to and from Cincinnati to Indianapolis. Will definitely be back.

Excellent atmosphere!!! My wife and I went there for our second anniversary on Dec 30th and we greatly appreciate the kindness and professionalism portrayed by our waitress and staff. The music was nice the food was terrific and our waitress surprised us with brownie and icecream on the house for our anniversary. Could not have chosen a more relaxing and entertaining atmosphere. Thanks Jazz Kitchen.

Great food even if you aren't totally into Jazz. But the live entertainment is fun, and even more so when its the summer.

The jazz kitchen could be a great place but like so many other night clubs these days, the self centered DJ has taken over the scene by playing the music at such a deafening sound level that it is exhausting, if not impossible, to have a social interaction with others in the venue. I'm still looking for a night club that people actually can mingle and socialize without having to shout in each other's ears, or repeatedly say "huh!?!', "what'd you say?!" or nod one's head and pretend that you understood what the other person said, meanwhile they get offended that you didn't laugh at their joke. That sort of thing. And on top of it, you really get a good whiff of exactly what everybody's breath smells like when they are yelling in your face, and this is not conducive to romance either.

Had an amazing time! Josh was awesome! Will definitely visit again!

The band last night, Sunset Stomp, was simply amazing!! They were on FIRE!! The swing dancers are great and so much fun to watch!!

A great show. A great price to see the show. We had great seats. Food choices were limited for a place that requires you to purchase food with each ticket. Plus the food cost a lot for what you received.

Had the pleasure of attending an APA performance by Emmett Cohen. Food and drinks were phenomenal, service was excellent (even during the show, when whispering was the rule) and the music was DIVINE. I think I grinned the whole time. We'll be back soon! (Thanks for the list of upcoming performers!)

We always have a great time at The Jazz Kitchen. Great local jazz and big bands. Food is excellently prepared with numerous unique offerings. Wait staff is attentive and efficient.

Food is a little pricey but I enjoy the events and music here.

What is there to say about the Jazz Kitchen that hasn't already been said? Great food (if a bit on the expensive side), good drinks with reasonable prices, and over the years they've kept up their status as one of the premier jazz clubs in the Midwest (if not the entire country). If you want to experience high quality jazz music in an intimate atmosphere (energetic though respectful, appreciative but not rambunctious) , this is the spot. Great for dates!

WONDERFUL experience here!!! I loved it! The atmosphere was great, & the energy was really positive. The food was really good, although a bit pricey. But it was worth it. And the live music was OUTSTANDING! I'd recommend it! I'll inform those who visit to be aware that there is COMMUNITY SEATING. So, if sitting w/strangers isn't your forte make sure your party includes at least 4 people. Also get there a bit early, as there may be some issues finding a place to park. Oh, & if you do decide to visit, it's best to make a reservation. So check it out, & ENJOY!!

Very delicious food! Great music obviously.

I made a reservation here once for a VIP table and ended up having to share a table with another couple and that was pretty awkward (they were very unhappy with us joining them)...not a big deal but I'd prefer my own table for VIP

It was great to go relax, eat, and dance to the music.

The Jazz Kitchen is a nationally-known jazz club with a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food. The music, of course, is always top-notch, no matter what specific genres might be of interest to you. For a night out of good food and music, this is definitely the place. Most of the shows are reasonably priced and the menu prices range from a low end of $5-$10 to upwards of $35-$40 for more high-end items. There is a $15 minimum food/drink purchase.

This place is great the food is amazing and the atmosphere is electric.

Next Monday, with a 2nd finger of Bourbon, I hope to have the courage to give my best attempt at the Jazz experience. #GreatJam
