The Jazz Kitchen really is a hidden gem of Indianapolis! We saw The Directors Jazz Orchestra, who were really fantastic live entertainment. The menu is plentiful, diverse, and priced well. The food was delicious; my wife and I both chose the filet mignon, medium rare and medium, and both were cooked near perfectly. The sides we received, one with a corn dish and the other with a green bean and carrot mixture, were cooked and seasoned very well. We ordered some merlot, which was incredibly smooth and mellow, whiskey sours, and a beer from the tap. Also, our server Jasmine was great!

Very nice! Came to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. The staff are courteous, the food is great and the drinks are not watered down! I am thoroughly satisfied. Also, I ordered steak and it was just right and not dry or chewy!!! Send my complements to the chef!

One of the best jazz clubs in the entire US!!! I lived just outside of NYC for 25 years and I'll match them to any there including the blue note. And. The food is really excellent. Surprising for a jazz club where bit is typically overpriced and average quality. They get literally some of the most famous recording artists in the world!!!!

Came to Jazz Kitchen on a date on Friday, July 6th, and was having a great time until the wine I ordered arrived. The portion was disappointing, but what could I do. However, when I started seeing the wine portions of other patrons I became extremely frustrated. The other patrons were being served more wine from my perspective. When I brought this to my waiter Cory's attention he told me that the wine was measured by the bartender. I am a devout wine drinker and can visibly determine the amount of wine in a wine glass by sight and there was no doubt my portion was short of what others were getting. As I continued to convey this to Cory he became frustrated and walked away. I conveyed to another waitress and to Cory that this WAS NOT his battle and I was simply pointing out the difference. Instead of becoming frustrated with me Cory should have just apologized and offered to bring more wine instead of debating with a patron in the middle of a date. Cory definitely needs to be retrained on proper customer service ettique. Because of that experience I WILL NOT BE BACK and will warn others to be leary of Cory and or any of the other staff who decide to make the customer feel as if they are wrong. The music and food were great, but customer service not so much for me.

We came to the Jazz Kitchen for the first time for a special Valentine's show. After hearing so many rave reviews, it definitely didn't disappoint. The food was terrific and the band was amazing.

The Jazz Kitchen has been newly renovated and oh my WOW!!!!! It has always been one of my favorite venues but it is at the very top now. The new renovation is beautiful Open Spaces but still has the amazing mood lighting and that great smooth jazz vibe and the wonderful hosts and hostesses. The outdoor area has been upgraded and expanded I cannot wait for it to warm up enough in the spring to enjoy every bit of it. You gotta go see for yourself. You're welcome

This place is must! Can't believe I have lived in Indy for four years and never knew about this place, went on Saturday after Valentines day. The food was amazing, the service just as good! I loved the atmosphere, the ambience that this place creates. Please check this out, even if its once. I was skeptical, but I'm glad I went!

The Jazz Kitchen has yet to disappoint, ex crept they no longer serve the Jamaican meat patties. Tonight's concert was great but again the Kitchen never disappoints in that area either.

The menu is incredibly varied and features delicious options for all diet-types (it is particularly accommodating for those who are gluten-free). The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the live entertainment is top-notch. Wait staff is prompt and courteous, and are well versed in their wine selection.

Poor service.

Poor service.
Multiple things contributed to this, but it should be noted that the service is just generally poor.
The food is at best mediocre, making the experience I had here... less than "tasteful".

Notes: Before you go to a place like this, research parking options.

Very pleasant atmosphere, good food and an excellent sound system for live music. The Indy Sax Quartet was very good, great music and a cooperative group that plays well together. Each individual musician is a talented and agile performer and together they have a balanced exciting sound.

Great place to go on a Monday during open mic night! Food was great and the service was perfect. It was a bit pricy but worth it since there was a show also. The desert was my fave because the brownie was still hot when it came out with the ice cream!

As a young performer you look for places that inspire you. This is that place! A place that celebrates traditional jazz and introduces new innovative sound. This is a place where the cool kids sit and listen to some of the best music and eat some amazing food. If you ever need a break or a vacation, this is the place that can take you there.
