Always love an Arboretum however a bit disappointe...
Always love an Arboretum however a bit disappointed there was no visitor center or on-site volunteers to answer questions. Nice walking trails, noticed joggers and dig walkers too.

This was my first visit to Jacksonville Aboretorium. I enjoyed the walk and the scenery; but, get your walking shoes on because the trails are long. It was a tad warm. So summer is going to be a bit hot. Outside of that, it was wonderful.
Just an awesome peaceful nature experience. Very well kept
Absolutely LOVE it! Very clean, lots of plants, very educational!
I personally love the pond and the trail around it but have yet to see the rest of the park, I was just recently told about it and my bf took me, we will most definitely head out to walk a new trail soon!
Liked it so far. I went with my husband and children here and walked the lake trail. This park has multiple trails and really cool vegetation. I would go back to explore more.
I live maybe 3 minutes away from the arboretum and never been until yesterday...the best way I can put it is, I've been missing out! it is really awsome!
A bit more rustic than some other arboretums and that's fine - more natural surroundings for the flora. Trails are well marked. The trails are for walking/hiking ONLY. Very narrow and not groomed for bikes.
I loved it. It's beautiful even during the winter!!
Beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend this amazing location in Jacksonville
120 acres of natural Florida, restored and maintained entirely by donations and volunteers. 10 miles of trails, with a multitude of native Florida habitats, both common and rare.
Wow was I surprised to learn that Jax had a place like this. Totally awesome. Enjoyed the name plates on the various plants, many I have never seen before. I appreciated the benches located throughout the trails so I could take a break as I have medical issues. Very interesting plants and plenty of shade.
Dogs welcome. Beautiful place with many different trails to walk depending on what distance you want to go. Such a hidden gem in the area, I love this place! No fee required but they request donations.
Great place to bring pets, or go for a nice walk. Trails were wide enough for two people to be comfortable, and also for groups to pass side by side of each other as well. Trails were a bit on the shorter side, 0.3-0.5 of a mile.
This place is huge! Definitely worth checking out if you've never been.
Great place for small hiking and relaxing. Beautiful landscaping.
Always a great stroll with the family and there is plenty of shade. Sunscreen, bug repellent and water are useful. I also recommend donating to them if you can to help keep this place looking great.
ALOT of trails to choose from. If you like to hike/ walk and enjoy the outdoors, this is a great place to visit.
Pleasant surprise. Beautiful, natural surroundings. Free but ask for a contribution, which they deserve for preserving such a beautiful spot.
Love this place, been a few years. So many wonderful improvements.
Great way to take a quick break from suburbia and take in a quick walk with nature
Loved, loved, loved this place! I'm a female, so, needless to say, some places around here i won't go on without conceal carry. You don't have to worry about that here. Dog friendly as long as dog is leashed. I seen a couple people on bikes, ...but personally thought it was rude. Some of the paths are only as wide as my hips, you literally have to get in woods to let bikes pass
All trails are very well maitained!! Great place to take a walk and relax as we as unwind from a long day. So very peaceful!!
Just need bathroom near the back of the park by the lake.
Beautiful trails, so much to find. Great for solo hikers, family, easy trails, and highly saturated with life from the tips of the trees to the soil that you walk on.
Awesome place, lots to walk and see, plus dog friendly!
Beautiful variety of trails with lots of sinage. Creeks and a small lake, some sunny trails but lots of shaded trails.
It is like walking back in time about 200 years. This is what Florida must have looked like. Comfortable walking shoes and insect repellent a must but definitely worth it.
Love this outdoor place to enjoy nature at is best
It's a good time.
Labels could be better.
This place is beautiful. We love it. Great for a solo stroll or taking kids and pets.
The Jacksonville Arboretum definitely has my favorite walking trails in Jacksonville.
it is quiet and calming in the middle of an area that is neither. good stuff!
Love taking weekend hikes here. I recommend checking this place out if you are into the outdoors.
Fantastic Place To Go nature hike is really educational and fun and adventurous lot if it's good for a easy to moderate hike
Very well maintained grounds. Beautiful scenery and a great place to decompress.
A very beautiful place. I plan on going again soon!
Awesome place. Hidden treasures to see everywhere. Absolutely love it. A must visit if you like to go on walk abouts.
Excellent place to hike trails and explore native plants.
Such a beautiful place to discover nature and to find some rest.
Lots of walking trails. Gets you into the thick of North Florida scrub land.
Clean, easy, family friendly trails. Very peaceful walk.
Great place to get outdoors, explore, and walk the dogs! Not too crowded and very clean.
Beautiful trails through natural Florida habitats from marsh to hammock to live oaks.
Went with a large group. All had fun, and kids stayed entertained with nature
Great hiking. Trails clearly marked. Great maps. Clean but needs running water and rest rooms.
I love this place ! Very nice and quiet , great trails , and a lake with an alligator.
A beautifully quiet and serene place to walk or just sit and enjoy nature. Also a good place to have a picnic lunch.
Absolutely beautiful day for a light hike. Always a pleasure going to the Arboretum!!
The Arboretum is where one can escape to for a 2hr nature walk along the serene trails.
Absolutely love this place!! One of my favorite hideaways
Good place to get away and walk in nature. Several different trails to walk things to see. Great place to walk your dog too.
Unfortunately this was a train wreck. Many lights didn't work and almost all of them were just stuff you buy at Walmart or lowes during the holidays. Granted, I went in November so it may get better.
Hot chocolate was a nice touch but for $25 you think you could get a bigger cup.
They do take a credit card here.
This is a very good place to walk, with interesting views and enough elevation to have a little better workout than we usually get in Jacksonville. Each trail is short, but you can combine them to walk as long as you want. There are enough other people to make you feel safe but uncrowded. I come regularly with my dog. The Upper Ravine trail is my favorite. It's a different kind of view from the flat places we usually see in Jacksonville.
This arboretum is a great place to bring the family and dogs. They have several trails that vary in length and intensity. The trails and landscape is very well maintained. I would definitely recommend!
