I love this nature trail so much because it is not just one straight shot . It is very engaging following the map and reading the info signs as you go . I love the educational aspect of the walk as well as the beautiful scenery. This place is a gem hiding in plain sight, just a reminder that nature is all around us.

Absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautifully maintained trails to explore and I feel like every time I'm there I meet the nicest outdoorsy people. This place is a particular favorite of mine to bring the dogs I volunteer with. The Jacksonville humane society has their dog day out program and I love to bring them here! I'm so thankful this place exists.

The Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens is a true local gem. I've been exploring and learning about nature there for almost 10 years. Today I spotted my first Eastern redbud blooms of 2019, and I am already planning my next visit.

I'm 4 starrin it because I didn't go thru the whole park. It looks like it's going to be a nice walk. My only complaint is the bathroom. Very bug nasty. Other then that I'm looking forward to exploring w/my hubby, son & dogs.

A great place to go to get away from the city without having to go on a long drive. I go here about weekly. There are a lot of different trails and many different events. Hurricane Matthew caused a lot of damage but they changed some of the trails and added new walk areas and benches since then.

There are quite a few trails in North Florida, but this is one of the most natural urban trail systems. There is a maze of trails which will allow you to have a new experience every time you visit. There are some inclined trails which give you a workout even though they are generally short in distance, The plant life is labeled for anyone interested in a botanical lesson. There a few areas where the roots can be tricky, but for the most part the trails are well maintained with leaf covering being the only thing underfoot. Benches are spaced strategically for when it is time to take a rest. There is also a picnic area which can accommodate groups. We would like to remind people it is NOT a free experience. There is a box at the entrance which allows you to leave the suggested donation or any amount which you feel the arboretum merits.

Great trail! The President of the Arboretum was standing out front when my daughter and I arrived. Very kind guy! He was actually waiting on someone but too the time to direct us and even showed us a Gopher Tortoise that he had seen while walking in the area. I will visit again!! All around great place!!

Numerous trails, gorgeous surroundings and a great place to walk your pets. Unless you know, you own a turtle (no disrespect to turtle owners but at the pace they walk? Nope don't even bother.)

Nice park to take a walk; multiple trails some are dog friendly. Benches placed randomly throughout if you want to sit and enjoy the scenery. There are bathrooms by the main parking lot (which is limited). I highly recommend you bring bug spray.

A nice park with a great mix of well maintained trails and water features. As a runner I was able to hammer out about 4k of trails while traversing all the various "loops". Some spots tend to be a bit narrow so try to find a time when it is less busy if you intend to run.

Amazing and quiet place for walking, reading and enjoying nature! It has many trails, good for taking dogs for a walk. Also it would be fun for kids to watch turtles in the pond as well as other little creatures :)

Nice trails, beautiful plants, & peaceful place to walk. Great place to go on a lunch break if you work close by. Just take a bagged lunch to eat at the picnic tables and then take a quick hike around the Lake Loop.
