A beautiful and exquisite British restaurant. A little difficult to find at first, but it's nicely hidden from the main tourist routes... Food and service is first class as expected!

We came here for a work dinner after our Summer Meeting.

The private room upstairs was fully equipped and has a private bar area and kitchen. They were also very accommodating to our requirements on timing for speeches.

The decor was wonderfully tasteful and the food was really amazing. I don't think any one of our 30 attendees complained about the food.

Because it's all been said before. Excellent food. Great service. Classy decor. A sprinkle of show biz. Wonderful wines. An unforgettable experience. So if you haven't already visited, just go there and find out for yourself about everything the reviews have to say!

The caviar was very delicious and well served. However, the fish and chips was not well prepared. The fish was very greasy. I did not enjoy the fish at all. Overall, a great experience.

I heard a lot about the Ivy over the years however I never quite got around to visiting it. I took my wife out for a birthday dinner here a few days ago.My initial impression of the crowd an the vibe was a positive one, with people relaxed and enjoying the setting.You get the feeling that old friends meet in a place like this and new acquaintances are made here.

Their cocktails are absolutely brilliant - their gin and tonic really hits the spot.We ordered steaks which were excellent however it is the dessert that really stands out - you MUST try the lemon meringue.

Will return to this place and soon.

Had a fabulous pre theatre meal at The Ivy....we arrived extremely early to our reservation, the staff couldn t have been more accommodating. They also overheard me wishing my friend a Happy Birthday and arrived un prompted with chocolates on a decorative Birthday Plate....not only were the staff fabulous had an amazing meal too.....Thank you for making our evening special

Worst food ever, rude staff..waiter kept bringing drinks to the table that I also didn't order. Food is really bad, go elsewhere do not waste your time coming here.

Love this original Ivy with staff who make the extra step even when we asked about Diet Coke with Mango which they bought from a shop. Rest assured; they will NOT be adding it to their bar menu! Amazing effort!

Took my family here for a meal, and it was 10/10. The service and staff were fantastic, the food was amazing and the wine list was perfect. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very humble and not too fancy. Highly recommend and enjoy!

Very British! Excellent service. Although got seated at the bar (was alone) i felt comfortable. Can recommend the black angus sirloin and as starter the tuna ceviche.

There s a reason why this place is the best of all the Ivy s that have been farmed out of late and dotted up all over the place! Ambiance was lovely. Decor obviously fantastic. Staff were very very friendly and accommodating, given we had a 6month old with us (note no pram policy) and the food was delicious and on point.
Do yourself a favour and drop in for a meal. You won t go wrong

The decor is to die for if you love art deco. Brilliant experience & not as expensive as I thought. Great service.
Came back for Christmas and was impressed with it all over again.

I never thought the restaurant staff as professional as I experienced, food is a true word of AMAZING, wherever I turn there is someone to help. What really amazed me as Muslim is that I was advised of alcohol contained food before hand without asking them to. 101% recommended!

Yes, my son and I loved it here. We walked 26,000steps ,so we were hungry, happy and relaxed. .The signature Shepherds pie was delicious..The champagne was good too Fter all those steps !!

Overrated. The place is beautiful, the staff is fantastic but the food is overrated. It is a great place to come for an excuse to chat, but not if you are really craving for some really god food.

Fantastic restaurant. Felt my wife and I got looked after as if we were Movie Stars. We came here for lunch before an NFL game in Wembley last year. I was dressed in an NFL jersey and baseball cap but that was no problem. Food is not fancy but very tasty. Price is as expected.

Always great experience at this place. One of my favourite places in Mayfair. Great ambience, atmosphere, service and the food is always excellent. I recommend this place and always felt welcome there.

Lovely coffee, good service, breakfast average. No butter on toast, avocado hard, roasted plum tomatoes not roasted. Salmon good. Avocado light breakfast very nice. Wouldn't rush back.

Worth it, fantastic, delicious. I could not say enough. The staff is incredible, and the food is better.

The service was great, I recommend booking online beforehand as it can get very crowded during lunch and dinner. The food was top notch; the gnocchi and risotto starters were incredible as was the Bang Bang Chicken. There are many seafood dishes which is a big plus for me. The only disappointing dish was the pork which was a little too dry for my liking though the sauce was tasty. We were too full to try the desserts but they had some excellent choices for all tatses. The drinks were great too, I recommend the Ivy spiced rum and coke.

Nice atmosphere but sadly the food wasn't as good as I was expecting. I had duck which was ok but I've had better at Browns and a fraction of the cost

Great restaurant for a special occasion or treat meal. Delicious food and we had a great table for a family catch up. The fish and chips were great and the espresso martinis were very tasty! Very attentive service and can t wait to return.

I was so looking forward to it ,the food was good but it felt a little cramped , and wanted it to feel more of a special night as it was a special birthday .

The original of the restaurant chain, popular with celebrities. Private dinning room available. Close by to numerous theatres, good choice of food and drink. Global influences of Asian, Italian and traditional English. Highly recommend to pre book.

Beautiful place with nice staff. The food was delicious and piping hot. Just the way I like it. Booking was a little difficult but that's understandable as this place is famous.

Loved the service,the staff could not have done more and the buzz, best atmosphere in a quality restaurant we have experienced in London. The food was top quality: a delicate dressed crab, followed by a lovely rabbit pie (I can't resist rabbit when it is on the menu), finishing with a delightful apple tarte fine, almost all apple and very tasty.

Love this place. Only downside is a 2 hour seating for dinner is too short, could stay all night!!

The Ivy is a timeless classic, it's like stepping back into an earlier era. The dining room is beautifully layed out around the central bar, low lighting and white table cloths lend a classy feel. The menu isnt extensive, more centering around a core of well put together dishes than offering a wide selection of mediocre ones. The warm duck salad was a particular favourite of mine. Excellent selection of cocktails on offer. The doorman, one Daniel Harris Esq. was also an entertaining highlight of our evening. Only giving it a 4/5 because I feel that turning the brand into a chain, rather than keeping it as just the one, original restaurant, cheapens it somewhat.

Wow this food was good. The service on point as well. I had the Sheppard's pie which was an unusual presentation but still delicious. Sat at the bar and had a great time.
