Amazing traditional English food in a very nice and cost setting but service was super impolite and not knowledgeable. Really put a stain on the whole experience. Otherwise worth 4 stars.

Good but not great. Food very good. Service good. Our 2 place table was miniscule, with no privacy and barely space for the plates and glasses. Lunch for 2 with no dessert and 2 glasses of wine came to gbp 150. Somewhat too expensive for what you experience, despite the reputation.

The food was fabulous! Our server Nelson was excellent, made my night.

Relaxed excellent service and the food always amazing

Found out yesterday that ivy the name is being used by a variety of restaurants using there name..
The food is not freshly made as claimed to be and it is fact delivered by food companies that deliver to many many many other restaurants of different names
One of the delivery company delivering are brakes
Also the %12.5 cover charge does not go to the staff it actually goes in the management pockets..
Do not be fooled by these crooks

It was really lovely atmosphere however the salad leaves tasted of chemicals. The waitress asked if it was okay, I said yes but the leaves tasted like chemicals and she pulled a confused face and just walked off. I'm not one to complain usually so this annoyed me a bit. Just an apology would be nice.

Very nice place. Restaurant packed when we first arrived but we were lucky as we ate at the bar with a view of making cocktails. Very nice I think. Delicious dishes and very well presented. Quality-price ratio correct. I recommend.

Fabulous... Great Food & a Beautiful Restaurant with smashing views of Tower Bridge especially of an evening.

Cod and chips but the battered cod was far from crispy and had to ask for our remaining wine when glasses were empty. Had the same dish in the Harlow Ivy but that was in a different league to Covant Garden. Will not be going again

A beautiful and exquisite British restaurant. A little difficult to find at first, but it's nicely hidden from the main tourist routes... Food and service is first class as expected!

I went there for the first time and the food was not good. People on the other table behind us kept on looking over which made no sense. Found the place very pretentious. Did not finish my fish cake or vegetables. The berry and yogurt sorbet dessert was nice but while I was eating it a lady came over and told us they needed the table for the next guest and we were there for just over an 1hr. So not impressed despite the name.

I was very impressed with the actually privacy that the restaurant has specially from the outside the food is excellent I enjoy my self!!!!! Highly recommended

Wonderful. Atmosphere and staff fantastic and food was amazing. There is nothing not to like here.

Where do I begin... the moment you step inside you re in awe of the lovely decor and the atmosphere is classy with a flair. We chose the Afternoon Tea and It was delightful. The Truffled chicken brioche roll just melts in your mouth and Chocolate and salted caramel mousse satisfy your sweet tooth craving. I ll definitely be back during my next visit!
All in all everything was brew-tea-ful

Wonderful food and service. A memorable experience.

The staff was great, our waitress was phenomenal. I ordered the shepherd's pie expecting lamb but it was beef, so a cottage pie...it was good quality meat just lacking in flavor. Over priced for the amount and flavor you get in the food itself, one combined with the atmosphere and staff it balances out. I'll try a different meal next time.

For the past 20 years The Ivy has been my very favourite restaurant, and I've enjoyed far more meals there than I can recall. It's not just the food, but also the beautiful room, the attentive staff and the general vibe which makes it such a wonderful dining experience.

Beautiful restaurant in central London. Frequented by Londoners and not by tourists. Rich menu with dishes of English cuisine revisited in fusion. Truly exceptional flavors. Rich wine list. Beautiful central bar where you can sip an aperitif waiting to sit at the table. Basic to book.

Service a bit slow, food no longer perfect. Its still good, but its no longer preeminent

The service is great, the atmosphere is great, the food is amazing. Especially the duck and watermelon salad was fantastic. One of the scallops I got was a bit too fishy for me, but the rest were amazing and well cooked.

Always excellent and kept true to its old values. Brilliant service, excellent menu that keeps the old favourites like cottage pie and liver and bacon. I asked to be recommended a wine and it was reasonable and exceptional. It's easily my favourite restaurant in London.

Had a steak tartare yesterday night. Woke up at 3am to vomit... avoid

A London classic, and a must. It's a beautiful place with an incredible atmosphere. The menu is huge and there are classics everywhere. This is not one of the Brasserie chain, this is the original and the best

Bad bad rude servers, you'd think after the lockdown these guys would treat customers better... But i guess establishments don't learn easily

Hi. Was at The Ivy Covent Garden last evening.
After a lovely meal and service left leaving my mobile phone behind. On returing, the staff were very good and the couple who were sat at the same table were also very accommodating.
To my delight there was my phone.

Very tasty, very clean, perfect design, kind and helpful staff

Pretty, great service, feels like old world class. That said, it also feels a little stodgy. Food was good and satisfying but not mind blowing. Risotto was soooooo salty. Good menu overall with surprisingly reasonable prices but don't think I'll be back.

Delicious food, large portions, very fair priced.
"Feeding like nuts in Korea" is the name of it - it's true.

From walking in until leaving, the atmosphere doesn't leave you. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. Highly recommend for a treat night.

What a fabulous experience! You completely feel like you are a first class rich citizen here. They treat you kindness, smiles and excellent recommendations to eat. I had the fish and wasn't disappointed! I will definitely be returning in December! Thank you Ivy!

Food and drinks - amazing as always.
Service - very poor- I was socked by the disorganised and very slow service.
I m very disappointed as it use to be one of my favourite to go restaurant.

Very good food and drink but the staff were like flight heaters around such a food we did not get it. They would pay for 2 water bottles when we drank one. We wanted to split the payment when we were many but the staff mixed up all the dishes on the receipts + that they added 2 pounds in service fee on each receipt so it ended we had to go to checkout and pay the first receipt. 5 stars for the food and 2 for the staff therefore 3.

A lovely experience fit for a special occasion. Great service and very welcoming. Steak great, haddock not so.

Lovely setting and excellent service- atmosphere was wonderful. We enjoyed our evening but the food was disappointing and didn t fulfil expectations, our steaks were underdone and the cheeseboard wasn t very inspiring.

Fantastic venue for a seminar. The private dining room is lovely and breakfast was a good selection of continental foods.
