Stayed overnight in this charming family run place. Lovely quirky gardens and the bedrooms and bar and restaurant areas full of character. Enjoyable food at reasonable prices. We aim to return for a longer visit to the the area ( handy for Ironbridge and only 30min drive to Wroxeter Roman City.

We drove over from Little Stretton, a 45 minute journey for Sunday lunch today. The venison terrine starter was very tasty, and a most generous portion. My Pheasant breast main course was delicious. Cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was lovely, a delightfully slightly quirky interior, the staff helpful, enthusiastic and efficient. What a find! An absolutely delightful experience! We, like Fre dy, WILL BE BACK!

We had a lovely couple of meals here during the years and every single time the food is amazing tasty.
I would recommend for dessert the poached pear which is out of this world.
Also the decor of the place takes you to a very cozy and comfortable place where you can relax and enjoy your dinner.

Attended a wedding here, the barn is excellent if you don't have a huge number of guests. Was decorated very nicely and the staff were friendly. You can also escape to the pub for a quick beer and a chat.

Had a lovely weekend here for my cousins wedding. Being one of the bridesmaids I was able to see what goes on behind the scenes and didn't realise how much preparation is involved and the staff at The Hundred House Hotel were on top form throughout the whole weekend including the the rehearsal. Anything that was needed they saw to straight away and the bride was able to call for anything and they would be right on it.
Every staff member made sure that everyone was comfortable, with friendly faces and chit chat and saw to everyone's every need. I even asked for a personal request myself and there was no trouble what so ever. It was a lovey wedding with a perfect venue!

I have been to the hundred house many times but last night our ladies group had our Christmas party here (delayed from December because of bad weather) True to their word they re created Christmas for us! Seventeen of us dined in the private room at the front of the hotel. Excellent food and service, cannot be faulted. We will be back. Thank you.

Went there for my sister's wedding. It's a very beautiful and eclectic place with oddly sized doorways, architecture old and new and really wonderful members of staff.. all that combines with excellent service to produce an unavoidably charming location.

I stayed the night after the wedding. Food was amazing (wedding breakfast & proper breakfast). My room was clean, spacious and fully kitted out.

I can't list every positive thing, I'd basically be telling the world about my sister's wedding.

This location definitely deserves it's 5* rating.

Loads of people had mentioned the Hundred house over the years. Finally went and wasn't disappointed. Lovely place, great atmosphere and fantastic food. A really interesting old building with piles of history.

Visited for dinner. The food was good but the bar full of inebriated wedding guests who must have continued their celebrations outside because my car was littered with food and plates left on my car bonnet. Disgusting.

Let's give a shout of praise to all the hard working staff at the Hundred House Hotel! We did the wedding photography for our lovely couple, at this amazing venue this week & you just couldn't fault it! The staff are friendly, enthusiastic & efficient, this hotel as a wedding venue, is a well oiled machine, carefully orchestrated & in a very attractive location. The food was delicious & our dietary requirements,( diary & yeast free) were precisely catered for. Cannot wait to return & show the lovely Gemma our beautiful photography of this very special place!
All the best, Norbert Campbell Photography

The Hundred House is always welcoming and, given the current circumstances, has made excellent provision to keep people safe from Covid and to be able to continue to offer the same level of service that it always has.

We had our wedding here on Saturday. Faultless from start to finish. The guest spent a lot of the evening do telling us how amazing the food was. Beautiful gardens for our photos and the rooms were very comfortable. Would highly recommend for anyone wanted hassle free wedding organised by brilliant group of professional, welcoming and friendly group of staff.

Such a shame...we had high hopes for this place as it looked so interesting, historic and had very good reviews.

But my evening meal was quite possibly the worst roast beef I ve ever had to eat. The menu said it was prepared rare but my beef was tough in parts and almost raw in others. Roast potatoes looked like they had been under a heat lamp all day and were rock hard outside and like cardboard inside. Yorkshire pud was dry and hard. Vegetables were lacklustre, tasteless and overcooked. Gravy was very salty and tasted like it had been made from a packet rather than being reduced down from meat juices. The final price charged was utterly exorbitant for the poor standard of food. Take away fish and chips would be a better and cheaper option. If you are going to serve food of this average quality, you should charge prices to match.

It appears this pub is sadly trading on its history rather than focusing on what its fundamental purpose should be - to provide good quality English country cooking. It felt more like a pub theme park than an establishment that people would come to for its fine fare. Need fundamental improvement. On a positive note, the staff were very nice.

Visited this Hotel with my sister-in-law and her future husband. Reason being was tobe viewed for their future wedding.

Can see why this is a very popular place. Well organised with a lovely atmosphere. Restaurant was busy, plus a function going on. Staff working hard too keep everyone happy.

Didn't expect the event organiser to be present, yet once she knew the reason for the visit was right there with facts, figures, suggestions etc.

Sister-in-law was well impressed with what was on offer. Can see why this Hotel has won so many awards. If your planning a wedding give this venue a look. Yet bewarned plan a head as the Hotel is a hot spot for weddings etc. Book well in advance

The food is great. The family have run the place since 86 and we met one of the owners on a Saturday afternoon picking up plates and serving food. That s an indication of a well managed place. He even went a told some patrons to stop being so raucous (but in a decent way). Apart from the food, the place is a lovely spot to stay in and go exploring Shropshire from. Dog friendly.

Beautiful place with delicious food, a good selection of drinks and the most wonderful surroundings. We went as a party of 17 for an 80th Birthday celebration and the staff were remarkable. Would highly recommend and hope to go back very soon.
