Had the best time at the Hundred House, celebrating our friends 50th birthday. Excellent service and food
That can not do anough for you and the breakfast is bloody lovely
Great Sunday lunch. Been 3 times now. The rare sirloin is a real treat.
Fabulous Gastro Pub with an amazing herb garden that you can access during your visit.
Amazing surroundings and great food awaits all visitors here.
The menu caters for every taste and there's a great range of Wines, Beers and Spirits.
The pub is good value for money which has a real wow factor.
Booking recommended.
Great location. Beautiful building's, excellent staff
Food and service were excellent, beautiful old building with a fantastic atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Very pleasant staff fast service and great food ...simple
Popped in for drinks, good selection of draft beers and ciders, nice setting
Staff were friendly enough but mis-understood the simplest of requests. It took thirty minutes for our drinks to arrive, the food was over priced for mediocre meals that were small portions of overcooked produce. Poor presentation throughout and expensive drinks. Incorrect food and drinks served. I'd like to say it was just us but another table near to us also had similar issues.
Fabulous wedding - relaxed atmosphere - perfect day
Really lovely, great food and perfect barn for functions. Christmas function was great
We had Christmas lunch here and it was fantastic. Great food, fantastic service and I would definitely book again. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Another beautiful meal. As always excellent customer service.
Felt very safe in regards to their covid measure.
A great hotel for a quiet, relaxing night away. Quirky, traditional rooms, lovely, pleasant team members and amazing food. Would highly recommend a visit.
we attended the mothers day lunch and cannot fault it from beginning to end the customer service was incredible especially from Teresa who went above and beyond to make sure we were OK and had everything we needed
Room, food & staff were amazing! Our second stay here but will definitely be back again! Thank u everyone!
Great service. Lovely food and great location. Hotel rooms are quirky.
Lovely quirky dining room with great food and service
Amazing atmosphere amazing food and amazing people, highly recommend
It was very relaxing, the food, service and room was excellent. Looking forward to going back.
The food was fantastic and staff really nice it the actual surroundings let it down hence only 4 stars.
Great day out and informative as well as educational. Recreated Victorian living and working conditions that many would not believe only 120 years later. Well worth a visit but book online to save money.
This is what all traditional British pubs would like to look like. Beams, nooks, old fireplaces, interesting buildings especially the Old Barn. Good amount of parking and really good food.
Wonderful wonderful food, fabulous building, great staff, lovely gardens
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere
Fabulous meal we had .nice homemade soup ,the beef was so tasty loads of veg really nice .
We will be back again.
Great pub/hotel very nice beer good food lovely gardens polite staff.
Beautiful place but very expensive for a drink but you are paying for the surroundings
Quaint and quirky interior and set in lovely gardens
The Hundred House Hotel is so easy to find and park simply drive into Norton village at no more than 30km/hour. For parking be alert, turn carefully and drive between the barn and the main building. Explore the hotel grounds enjoy the ambience and for comments on the restaurant most of the reviews below are very positive.
Excellent meal, I would have done the duck pink, all said and done a terrific meal and very helpful staff..!! A great evening all round. Would definitely recommended!!
Beautiful place, friendly and helpful staff. Check out the gardens, they are a magical surprise.
**UPDATED summer 2019**
Still need to improve veggie selections. Very helpful on the night and they offered 2 more choices that weren't on the menu but still involved long discussions and made us feel singled out instead of just being able to choose off the menu like everyone else. Chefs seem to have a mental block these days when it comes to vegetarian food. One or two choices is just not enough!
ORIGINAL REVIEW early 2018:
Needs to improve vegetarian menu selection. Used to be spoilt for choice whenever we ate here. Very disappointed after highly recommending to friends to then be faced with only ONE choice in their entire menu! Very poor show. 3 stars given for beautiful surroundings and excellent customer service received from the restaurant manager. Chef needs to realise (as do most chefs) that vegetarians also like to have a choice, especially when they're paying similar prices to everyone else.
Great little pub, food was good - although the bread was abit stale sadly.
First outing since lock down so a bit nervous but, as regular customers, trusted the Hundred House to look after us and weren't disappointed. Clear instructions as to how to enter and what to expect, warm welcome and well spaced tables; hand gel freely available and not too busy. New and exciting menu, I really enjoyed my Korean belly pork and my partner his sea food platter served by friendly and professional staff.Despite the rain you could see the gardens are looking magnificent as ever, perhaps better; there's space in a marquee for external dining as well as the outdoor tables. The wine is more expensive than previously; but hey ho! Thank you so much and hope to be back soon this summer when we can enjoy the gardens as much as we enjoyed the food.
Out on the motorbike and stopped off here for something to eat. Was very pleasantly surprised. Has a lovely and very original setting. The staff were kind and the food was amazing. Definitely a place i will make a point of going to again.
Lovely place! Good food, good drink and wonderful staff! I can really recommend this place!
Went there sunday for a meal, service was fantastic and the food was absolutely brilliant, highly recommended
Food not what expected for the money lamb pink veg not good and roast potatoes not cooked enough
Nice venue, staff very friendly. Looked great aesthetically, but was probably a bit small for the event we needed
Attended for a wedding on what was the hottest day of the year. The place was magical. The wedding service was faultless despite the heat and over 100 guests. Beautiful secret gardens at the back.
Outstanding service, outstanding food. What more can I say. Oh yes the gardens outstanding as well. See you again soon
Attended a wedding here. A lot of waiting around for long periods of time whilst waiting for the barn to be changed around (on two occasions). Very cramped and not enough seating. Very expensive and like to charge for rooms not used. Certainly not disabled and elderly friendly as your food is served from the balcony so you have to get up and down stairs with a plate whilst trying to use a walking stick. Would I go again NO.
Food was very good. But the evening was spoilt when we returned to find the car with a plate of food smeared on the bonnet . There was a wedding on with some obviously very rowdy guests!!! Not happy.
Wow, what a beautiful 'ultra historic' place stopped to look and could not believe what we saw, I've not seen anything so incredible for miles around, they hold weddings here and no wonder with the settings including top notch gardens, highly recommended
My go to place for a high quality meal, best place in shropshire to eat.
Enjoyed my 50th birthday meal here. Great food, especially the poached pear, and warm, friendly staff. Thank you
Very friendly helpful and willing to customise and change any dishes that may need amending
Excellent food and drink. Pretty relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make this a very welcoming destination. The garden is lovely on a sunny afternoon and the barn is great for conferences and family events.
Great place, the food it's really good and the atmosphere is really nice, you can book for families, the stuff it's great in a very special building, I love this place
First time my husband and I had been out together since before lockdown and it was a great experience.
Very Covid aware, the staff were all friendly and professional, food was amazing- couldn t fault anything and my husband is a real foodie!
We will definitely be returning very soon!
Flew in from New Orleans for a friends wedding.....Everything from the reception, food and accommodation was incredible. Beautiful place and very well managed.
Interesting historical restaurant full of character. Delicious food in a lovely setting.
A pleasant pub, easy to find but with hidden parking unless you know where to turn in to get to it, its not clear from the road due to the 90 degree turn with no warning. Meals were well prepared although slightly pricey. Popular venue for weddings as have seen them occuring in the bar area which is next to.the meal area during my last 2 visits. Venue is warm with nice space from other tables inside for meals. Very accomodating to special seating requests such as wheelchairs. Excellent garden area to explore after meal. Drinks werent as ordered on this occasion (pint of coca cola) and got a 200ml glass bottle instead but meal flavoursome and filling. Would visit again again.
Delicious food, great service, beautiful place, friendly staff, award winning... What more do you want? You get what you pay, great quality. Why are you reading this? Go to Hundred House and enjoy. You're welcome.
Fantastic venue, full of character and history. The food was excellent and the staff friendly.
