The ample room and clean beach to walk on anytime of the day looked loving as we found plenty of half sun - half shade spots to sit and relax.I recommend this place

The food was delicious but the crab cakes were full of shell

This place is pretty swanky! A LOT of extra amenities available, they even drop milk and cookies to your room nightly!

It's an expensive joint, but you get what you pay for and they take good care of their guests!

Five stars for the overall service! I will visit this place again and again!

Had an amazing weekend here with my wife. I'd come back. Geneva is a great city for a weekend or a day and this is the place to stay. Room had a walkout deck over the river, a fireplace, nice TV, and great bathroom.

Food is always amazing and the rooms and building are absolutely beautiful.

It's an absolutely beautiful property. It was clean, quiet and well maintained. This was my first stay and I'm already looking forward to my next stay. I live Aurora and I really felt like I had left town. We chose rooms facing the river and so glad we did. I highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel located in equally beautiful Geneva Illinois.

Went here for a wedding venue. I found it to be a great experience for a place so far removed from Chicago.

Great place to stay. The manager, Jesse, goes above and beyond to make sure your accommodations are perfect. This is our second time staying here for our anniversary and I could see making a tradition out of it.

We were given this vacation as a Christmas gift. When it was booked, it was booked on the hotel s website in the package section. We went to the Girls Getaway package and clicked book now. The reservation was made via the package link. When we received the confirmation, we called to confirm that we had the correct package and that we could use the credit card that the room was reserved under. All was confirmed. The day of the getaway comes and we drove 12 hrs in a snow storm & were given a horrible reception by an incredibly rude check in girl. None of what we booked or had been told was correct and were given a not my problem, take it or leave it attitude. We were then given the worst room in the hotel, next to the bar, on a Friday night. They did move us, but acted like they were giving us the moon and the stars for doing so. I would not recommend this place to anyone! There were so many places that we could have chosen to spend our vacation and I completely wish that we had chosen a different one!

I love this time of year when the Herrington brings out my seasonal favorite, butternut squash soup! I always feel relaxed and welcome at this restaurant. The atmosphere alone is worthy of a fabulous date night! I've never had a bad meal.

The breakfast is nice and the rooms very spacious with beds which are comfy.

Classic hotel lobby feel. Great ambiance and cocktails. Atwater restaurant is great, but consider the private gazebo if you have a group of 6-8.

The staff at the Herrington Inn is truly excellent. Rose, Deanna, Lisa, and team do an excellent job facilitating our corporate training sessions. In addition to the very attentive and friendly staff, the quality of the conference room, the guests' rooms, food, and drinks are top notch. The setting in downtown Geneva, on the Fox River, and within walking distance to so many great nearby restaurants and bars before and after training hours only adds to the experience.

Fabulous dinner and service, worth the hour and half drive from wisconsin.

Nice environmental set up and very cool atmosphere. Restaurant is available so no need to got out for a meal.

The rooms are old school European style. Because of covid 19, we didn't really experience the whole resort i.e. spa etc. The view, the neighborhood restaurant and the service are really good. Bike and walking trails are close by as well. 3.5 rated....

The architecture and artwork were outstanding! I definitely felt like i was on another planet for a couple nights, and that was a welcomed relief. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend a visit!

Nice upscale suite right on the water. Space treatment was excellent and the dinner at Atwater was outstanding.

The hotel was amazing. We attended a wedding that was born indoor and outdoor at the hotel. The scenery was great. The staff was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. We will definitely come back for another visit.

Went to Herrington for breakfast on a monday morning. Service was great and the views were beautiful. Great food too.

This was the 3rd special occasion dinner we've had at Atwaters and the 2nd in the gazebo. We love this place. If you need to plan something special, go in and speak to Matthew Feldbusch. He can help you make it a "wow" evening.

It was a very nice property and the staff is very attentive to making your stay the best. I was a little disappointed because I reserved a river suite but I ended up with a courtyard room but the view was still beautiful

Beautiful place especially loved the river views. Only complaint is the poor lighting and a few things needed fixing in the room. Amazing experience at the spa as well.

Absolutely amazing time. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed in a junior suite and was blown away by everything the room had to offer. King 4 poster bed, giant jetted tub big enough for my 6ft frame to fully soak and the view from the walk out balcony is gorgeous. Spa treatments are kind of odd with check-in on the first floor and the actual treatments done on the second. That said, the robes are ultra soft, the massage specialist really know what they are doing and the heated floor shower room is well laid out and stocked. I can't wait to make another trip to the best hotel in Geneva, IL.

Lovely romantic old world charm hotel in the heart of Geneva .Beautiful welcoming lobby with stone floors, fireplace and a grand staircase that escorts you up to your room. The rooms have a fireplace, garden jet tube and a large 4 post wooden bed. There was a balcony that over the court yard and the Fox River. The milk and chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch. There is a private sitting area with a fire place on the second floor. A complementary breakfast is served in the lobby. The hotel has a nice resturant and spa. We highly recommend this hotel!

This was my first visit. It was the best. It was beautifully decorated.

It is a unique hotel and I love places like this. Every room is a little different and beautiful. So homey feeling. Great views of the river too.

Stayed here for the second time this past Thursday-Friday and the experience was, again, overall really good! The hotel is beautiful, the large tubs are heavenly, milk/cookies in the evening is a nice touch, and the rooms are really spacious! Having said all that, this last stay wasn't as great as the first. As I was finishing up my bath I noticed water leaking from the ceiling. I called down to the front desk and ended up moving rooms. That was all fine and the substituted room was a nice little upgrade and even more spacious than the first. However, the bed was not only hard but kind of lumpy; like it was a little too worn out and you could feel the springs a little too much. I had a hard time falling asleep because of this and when I woke up I felt like I had been beaten up or something; my muscles felt incredible sore/uncomfortable. I also found this to be the case with the mattress the last time I stayed at the Herrington, just not as severe as this last stay. My Mom was also staying at the Herrington at the same time and noted the uncomfortable bed in her room, as well. Anyway, all in all, I really do like this hotel and will likely be back in the future, if there's a good deal on room rates; hopefully they'll have updated their mattresses and fixed the leaks by then!

Older hotel with amazing location on Fox River and amazing stone work throughout the lobby. Food and service were both excellent.

What a great place to stay. My wife have stayed 3 or times. We love the food in the restaurant. A great place for a quiet romantic dinner.

Went for a wedding and the service staff was amazing! The venue is smaller but still had a great time. The food was delicious and had good portions.

Absolutely beautiful place! Reservation process was easy and efficient. The staff was extremely welcoming and polite. Checking in was a calm smooth process. The room was very large with a fireplace, balcony overlooking the river beautifully constructed king size bed, large bathroom with whirlpool and seperate shower. His and hers sinks. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I never wanted to leave. In the evening the staff brings fresh baked cookies and milk, lays out your robe and slippers, turns down the bed, lowers the lights, closes the drapes and tidies up. It was extremely relaxing and quiet. The hotel was booked so we had to of had neighbors but I never heard a thing. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. And checking out was a breeze! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. This was truly the best hotel experience I've ever had! I highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back every chance I get!

If I could give it a zero, then I would. Walls are thinner than paper! Spent a lot of money for a romantic night. Had a corner room yet even late night talking was greeted by hotel security to keep it down . I ve been to plenty of better hotels and no issues. Staff was very rude and came several times that night for just talking at reasonable levels. Even turning the tv on at a normal volume was greeted by a knock on the door. I ll NEVER stay here again! What was supposed to be a memorable night, was definitely memorable but for the wrong reason. DON T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ONLY PLAN ON SLEEPING! NO TALKING ALLOWED!!!!! WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

Always a great experience. They are very friendly and courteous. The decor could use an update however. I done think they've redecorated in 20 years. A really enjoyable stay though.

Great the first time, underwhelming the second. Poor customer service and no response from management. Love local businesses but expect better communication for the money spent.

We love the harrington Inn, we took a trip up for my birthday and stayed in a beautiful room that was spotless. Im a germaphobe and I even took a soak in the whirlpool tub. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is in walking distance from many local shops and restaurants.

Always a treat to stay here. If you want to feel like you have left the Chicago suburbs. Great place for staycations.
