Excellent venue for a day out. Lots of great pieces by Moore, within a large and sympathetically landscaped garden. Several workshops can be visited, with friendly guides available throughout, and always happy to share the story behind some piece or other.

A fantastic place I'd visit as many times as possible! You can never have enough of looking at the sculptures. Lovely and well informed personnel. Big enough gardens to have a good walk, beautiful picnic area. Strongly recommend for all ages.
Wonderful surroundings for the huge works of Moore. The drawings inside one of the studios were fascinating...and the family home too. Good facilities for eating
You expect Henry Moore sculptures, you may not expect so much more of the man and his times. Well worth adding on the tour of his house, stuffed full as he left it, the guided tour really brings it all to life
Wonderful day out with so much to see...very well organised complex with visitor centre/shop/cafe (delicious cakes!), extensive grounds with the sculptures, guided tours of the fascinating house, plus various studios in the grounds containing other works/exhibitions of interest. Too much to see in one go, need to go back!
A beautiful space, full of large Henry Moore sculptures. You can also see the artists house and workshop. There are some really lovely pieces by Moore, sitting around the garden and fields. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic place to visit, lovely grounds with plenty of Henry Moore sculptures in a range of mediums. Also informative and interesting exhibitions. Get on a tour of his house called Hoglands. It's interesting and like stepping back in time, and you are only allowed in if you are on the tour!
Organised a school trip here. Couldnt recommend it highly enough. Excellent facilities, engaging tour guides, beautiful grounds full of fantastic sculptures. My classes (yrs 6 to 9) loved it. A++
Lovely place to visit. Staff very helpful and informed. Beautiful grounds. Children welcome. You can touch the outside statues and feel the work and flow of the piece. Going back soon.
A bit out of the way but well worth a visit. Extensive grounds full of beautiful sculptures, with interesting workshops. Small cafe but we ate in the pub linked to the foundation, which served very nice meals and had a lovely garden.
The Foundation is truly inspirational - a wonderful open air museum with many excellent examples of Moore's work placed in beautiful and thought-provoking locations. And the studios and workshops are fascinating.
Fantastic over 80 of his greatest work. Moved to Perry green in 1940 ewhen his London house hit by a German bomb. He purchased this house about 5 years later after selling one carving for a lot of cash. Beutifull setting on about 80 areas More
First I should mention I have visited annually for some time and have been fascinated by the sculpture in the photos. Each year the foundation presents different elements of Moore's work and the exhibition's for this year were about to finish when I visited. The photos are of the works in the grounds which I enjoy and hopefully give you a flavour of what you will see. For me the whole place is very special, they serve nice tea and coffee and excellent cake, pick a day with nice weather and either use sat-nav to find it or plan your route carefully. I do recommend touring his house if you are a first time visitor and again for the first timer follow the sculpture in the sequence in the guide. Finally it's worth wearing shoes that allow you to walk in fields, some excellent work are often surrounded by sheep.
Great visit. Fantastic sculptures in great outdoors plus interesting indoor exhibitions. Good parking, nice tearoom and small shop. If you like modernish sculpture then this place is a must see.
Fascinating place to see where Moore lived and worked and to see the sculptures in a natural setting. Incredibly polite and helpful staff. My kids said it was the best art gallery they have ever been too!
One of the most relaxing places I've visited where you have plenty of space for reflection, peaceful contemplation and great inspiration from Moore's wonderful sculptures.
The space was brilliant, bringing new life to sculptures with the scene of nature around them; giving a dramatic sense of scale to some or an ethereal grandeur to others. Great staff and nice cafe on site.
Pick a nice day and you can spend a good few hours here. The house (opened in 2008) is a fascinating throwback to the fifties and sixties, rich in artifacts from Moore's travels yet humble in its presentation. The estate grounds, with many of Moore's sculptures, hiding behind trees and positioned to present their beauty, makes a lovely stroll. The new exhibition centre houses more information, a gift shop and a lovely cafe with plenty of tea and cake.
Very interesting place to visit. The sculptures are very distinctive of course and the grounds are extensive. We had a guide with us who was excellent and enabled us to learn so much more about Henry Moore. They have a very nice coffee shop there too.
Sculptures are incredible, and particularly good to explore outside in nice weather. Added to lovely staff and good food in the cafe, it's a place to visit more than once.
Excellent place to visit. Staff very frienfly and very helpful. Very worthwhile doing the tour of the house. Cafe. Parking opposite or in little further up road in pub car park.
Students of art, of whatever age or experience will find this place inspiring and enjoyable. The Foundation is a true representative of a great legacy.
This rating is in reference to the authentication process for original works by the foundation. Very slow. No planning possible. No time limits. Been waiting for 5 months now. Friendly but not professional.
Amazing place. You truly get a sense of Moore s life and the way he worked. A tour of his house is a must - it s a treasure trove. The perfect setting to enjoy his sculptures and the newly built visitors centre is stylish and welcoming.
You won't find any works of Sir Henry Moore there. Major collections of his work are there in Hertfordshire, Peri Green. But it's a nice place to be if you are in Leeds. Staffs are very helpful. Sir Moore had established his studio here. He used to work in the coal mines nearby.
From our arrival to our departure each and every staff member we encountered gave us snippets of valuable information, suggestions on where to go next, a cheery word, and an encouraging smile. The art work was impressive and well laid out. Well worth a visit.
Hidden gem.Beautiful garden and sheep fields. Perfect for a long walk on a sunny day. Recharge the batteries in this calm place. Tbh didn't know anything about the artist, Henry Moore before my visit but became an admirer.
The great out door exhibition of Henry Moore's sculpture is worth a visit and the new galleries and cafe add to the overall experience. All set in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.
Henry Moore s former home, studios and gardens, make for a wonderful day out. We celebrated my birthday here on a gloriously sunny day, with a yummy picnic next to the "Square Form With Cut" concrete sculpture.
There are many large sculptures dotted around the gardens and sheep field and you are allowed to touch the outdoor sculptures, but be warned, the bronzes can get very hot!
Staff were lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable about all things Henry Moore. Do check out all the studios, including the Bourne Maquette Studio which displays Moore's original mini models and the 16th century Aisled Barn which is home to Moore's stunning tapestries. (You have to look up close to see the weave and appreciate the beauty; from a distance, you could easily mistake the artworks as charcoal and watercolour.)
Not to be missed park with iconic Henry Moore statuary, barn of glorious tapestries and studio. Cafe, shop and all facilities excellent. Some walking necessary to see everything.
This is a wonderful place The house and grounds all belong to the foundation and are therefore really well kept The member of staff who showed us around the house was chatty and very knowledgeable The studios are very well kept as if Henry had just stepped out this is also the same in the house two things that makes it 5* the tapestries in the Barns very beautiful and very well presented. Secondly the large works of Henry's in the fields these are just devine Try to go around them all it is worth it. Not really good for children not much to do and large enough parties of people would spoil the serenity
We had a really nice day. Beautiful grounds round all the sculptures . Lovely little restaurant/cafe, and the weather was beautiful. Really worth a visit.
