Perfect place for a snack and a cocktail on the patio. Plenty of dogs to pet too.

Great bar atmosphere, with free "train shots" every time a train goes by, which is often. Small food selection and a wonderful beer list, outside and inside seating available. The TV are always playing the crowd favorite sports game.

An interesting place to stop, have a beverage and see the lake across the street.

It is a great place to go to see some of the local art talent with an art reception every month. Plus there good drinks and train shots every time a train goes by.

Food was good, the bloody Mary's are a meal in themselves. They have a pretty big section where you can create your own bloody Mary's with just about anything you can think of. I had the bacon infused vodka which was excellent.

This is a friendly place for any and everybody. it's even written on their walls and I have never been more welcomed or more serviced as a customer. Everybody needs to visit this place at least once and every time thereafter, you're welcome.

The bloody mary bar is a great novelty and the food is simple yet solid. Just hope you happen to be there as the train comes by......

Great brunch spot right by a park. Get there right when they open for almost no wait on a Saturday morning. Bloody Mary bar was like hot sauce heaven, and the breakfast BLT was delicious. Would definitely return.

Cool/different environment. We went there for brunch and there's a great selection for inside and outside seating. I suggest getting there early so there's no wait or there's no crowd for the bloody Mary bar (which was great btw). Huge selection of stuff to put inside your drink (different mixes, meat, veggies, hot sauce). It is a small brunch menu but there is traditional and non traditional dishes to choose from. Nice music, artwork, and views outside. My family and I had a great time.

Train shots were being dished out and I've found lamb is not my favorite. I had the French dip and it was almost too lamby haha. Thanks for the great service.

We stumbked upon this place and it became an instant favorite of mine. The pulled pork pretzel sandwich was thee best thing I've had in a long time.

Food was fantastic. Our group ordered the BLT, Chicken and waffles, Buscuits and gravy, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the environment. Great place to grab brunch.

Had an issue with an online delivery company which resulted in an incorrect order. Spoke with Corey the manager on the phone who was helpful in rectifying the situation quickly and fairly. I will continue to return the HL in the future, hoping they bring back the tomato soup!

Great atmosphere! Music was awesome! Bartenders and waitresses are very cool and helpful.

Not only is the atmosphere wonderful, with outdoor and indoor options...but the staff is accommodating and friendly. I ve been going here for years for brunch (Bloody Mary bar!), dog day outs, and Friday night bar hopping. Absolutely the best place to hang out on Lake Ivanhoe.

This place has amazing food and great happy hour prices. Not suitable for a quiet dinner but if you want good food and live music this place is awesome. We had the grilled cheese and pasta salad and it was AMAZING!

I love this place. It's not cheap, but few shots when the train passes.

Great atmosphere but the food was not my favorite by any means.

I'm always impressed by the Hammered Lamb. Their drinks are pretty cheap usually, so as a second or third stop on a night out, it's a great move (and you can't go wrong with train shots!). I also tried brunch there recently and it was excellent. Had the Biscuits and Gravy and a bloody Mary. Their bloody Mary bar is really impressive, probably the best I've seen. All the toppings to make some excellent skewers. Staff is always friendly and on top of drinks and refills. Also, dog friendly on the patio, which has good air flow so doesn't get too hot usually.

Food was pretty good but also over priced. Service wasn't the fastest. Employees were nice and the place was pretty nice too.

Finally had a chance to stop by and brunch at The Hammered Lamb. If the weather is nice definitely choose to eat on their patio, which is covered. We had a reservation, but did have to wait about 20 minutes. The bartenders were attentive and pets are allowed so we enjoyed a drink and some unconditional love from other people's fur babies ha. The menu is creative and everything we ordered ( table of 6) was delicious. I opted for the Breakfast Bowl and asked for fried eggs instead of scrambled and for the sausage gravy to be on the side. The potatoes were really good, but I will remind myself to order them a little crispy. The bloody mary bar was really good and you make your own with all kinds of toppings. The food came out at a reasonable time and we ate and were out within an hour and half.

Out of a party of 5, 4 of us were unimpressed with the brunch. I will say the service was good and the atmosphere was nice for drinking, but I wouldn t come back for food.

My skillet was 90% potatoes and barely any spinach or mushrooms. Boyfriend s biscuit bacon gravy had little bacon, and didn t have much flavor in general. My friend had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were extremely dry and the description didn t give an indication that it would be spicier. Thumbs up for the shrimp and grits, though.

Always a gun rowdy bunch, music varies so you may get country when your not feeling it or rock when your wanting to have a conversation, but despite that the food is great and the beer selection matches! Love it and will return, would say wish the servers were a little more attentive and ask before assuming. I was on last beer and tried to ask for check, ended up with another round of beers. Still will be back.

This is a great spot in the lake ivanhoe park district, that features one of the best brunches, bloodymary bars and hotspots on Saturday nights. Dont forget to stay for at least one train shots

Everything my friend and I have ever ordered here has been amazingly delicious. Their bloody mary bar is the bomb diggity as well.

I really dig this spot. One half is indoors, where you can play table tennis. The other half is open (no roof) and on Fridays DJ Nigel is spinning choice vinyl from the dopest genres of the 80s. The food is bomb, the bartenders are chill and on point.....and you get a free shot whenever a train passes by. Definitely worth checking out.

Best patio with a beautiful view of Lake Ivanhoe. Saturday and Sunday has an impressive Bloody Mary Bar with over 30 different things to put in your Bloody Mary!! Grilled Cheese and lamb quesadilla are mouth watering! Great spot with tons of options and ping pong to boot!!

Love the staff here! They are always super fun, helpful, and friendly. They know how to recommend great drinks too if you're not sure what you feel like ordering at the moment. Good food to boot! A fav spot for sure!

This place is really good but it doesn't always suit my disposition. Maybe that's with the fact that people smoke in the lounge area which is where I like to be because you can see the lake and the volleyball court but I still enjoy coming here. So I feel this needs a real explanation because service was great. Drinks were great. My food was eh but everyone else's food I saw coming out and even my friends food looked fantastic. Maybe I just chose poorly. My bacon was under cooked, some of my potatoes were under cooked, and country gravy was very liquidus. Ordered breakfast bowl.

Disappointed last vist service was very lackluster. We waited at least 10'15 min for any server to even acknowledge us and there must have been at least 7 ppl behind the bar. I love tbe lamb and hope this was a one time glitch.

My fiance and I decided to come down on a Sunday for brunch. We had visited a couple months before and had a nice time and decided to come back again. We called ahead not knowing if we needed a reservation, we were told we didn't but we could have a "call ahead" time which we scheduled for 1 o'clock. My fiance was texted and told a table was ready for us, and we arrived exactly at 1 o'clock. It was busy, and it appeared that there wasn't a table ready for us. No big deal, a table inside was found for us pretty quickly (not a great table at all but we said we were not picky). I walked back to the host stand and explained that it was my fiance's birthday and asked if there was anything that they could provide ( I would gladly pay) and I was told they would come up with something. 25 minutes after being sat, we got up and left with my fiance in tears. Nobody came to the table, nor did they even acknowledge us, even after getting up and letting the host stand know nobody had come by. No waters, no apology, no nothing. It was heartbreaking to see my fiance hurt by having such an awful experience on her birthday. We will definitely not be coming back unfortunately.

Loved their COVID-19 safeguards in place. The food was fresh and drinks were excellent. Service was great and server was attentive throughout the time there. Can't wait to return!

Cheap strong drinks and good greasy bar food late at night! Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the mood for late night drinking and hanging out with friends - nice and relaxed environment.

It's a really nice place but this time I went the glasses were very dirty the first one they gave me had old lipstick on it and it the inside was a build up residue, then the secound glass they Gave me had caked up food on the outside and the residue so I returned it again only to be told sorry that there dish washer was broken. Felt like that was a big heath hazard them the next day got terrible stomach pains and the runs don't know if it was because of that or coincidence!! Just saying check the glasses, other than that there great

Went today after a morning visit to the science center with the two kiddos. It's probably not a place that people often take children especially for Sunday brunch. But the staff were super polite and kind and never made us feel unwanted. Our waitress was amazing and so good with my three-year-old. The food was delicious and it's super affordable! I've only ever heard good things about the hammered lamb, so I was super glad I got to try it and it lived up to its reputation.

Loved the place, food was good, the drinks were awesome, and the fact we got to see the train pass by was a plus too. They gave a a train shot ... so kool. I'm from New York, this spot I definitely recommend!
