This was such a cool inn. The atmosphere was great and the fireplaces were keeping us all warm and toasty on a cold day.

Really cool inside only downfall is there's only time for one drink.

Not only for Hobbit fans. Magic place. I highly recommend The Shire

The best part of a great tour. Yummy brew and warm and cosy place. Lovely building.

It is the Green Dragon Inn, the last of the Hobbiton tours. It is built like a restaurant and offers free drinks here. You can choose either low alcohol beer or ginger beverage. The tastes are impressive ... The arched bridge and the waterbath in front of the New Zealand army are impressive, allowing you to feel that the lake and the village view across the street are really carefully designed. Like a movie, Gandalf seemed to drag a cart over his legs. D This area is a good place to have a pretty photo because there are few weather days.

Excellent tour, with beautiful views, very entertaining guide (thanks, Malika!), Good black beer and rich beef feet. There are also some vegan muffins, which are not on the blackboard

Unexpectedly yummy. Nice roast dinner, after an evening drink, after an impressive tour. Winner winner (roast) chicken [and much more] dinner.

We were the last tour and seating for dinner so we had ample time to enjoy the free drink and even order a 2nd one to take into the dining hall.

The staff were fun and friendly. They made a good and successful effort to seat small groups / families together. Our server was attentive without being overly present.

I avoided looking at media about the dinner spread and was surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. A meal fit for adventurers from Middle Earth

If you go on the tour, you'll end up here. Cool place and looks just like the movie set even though it wasn't used in the filming.

Having seen The Green Dragon Inn in the moves, the visit to the Inn in person was surreal. Make sure you grab a drink at the bar - I had the amber ale.

Excellent. Beer without alcohol very good. Excellent lunch and the scenery is spectacular.

The ginger ale was really really good and I had a cookie as well and it was well above average

This was the best end to our tour of Hobbiton. The beer and cider was really good, and it was just such a fun experience.

The shooting scene of the Lord of the Rings is really beautiful, especially the party tree.

Sit having a beer and imagine that you are in the Middle Earth. Just do that. Also, it is possible to dress up like a hobbit.

Picture-perfect even on a rainy day. The scones are massive and delicious.

It's such a great experience and the pub is great. Sadly, you only have about 20 minutes there and I think for the tour costs, you should be able to enjoy the green dragon a bit longer.

Really fun pub in Hobbiton - you'll stop in when you do the tour. Put on the Hobbit clothes and take some pictures!!

Great little pub towards the end of tour with good beer. Would have loved to have stayed longer to have some more beers in the sun but you are restricted to 15mins.

Like it or not the saga, do not stop visiting Hobbiton, and have a beer in the dragon inn. Beautiful where you look at it!

It's all about the location--Hobbiton. The beer and food ate also very good. Not sure if you can visit without paying to see Hobbiton.

Hobbition Movie Set is a must visit place when covering North Island in Newzealand. Very well managed and one can easily locate this place though map. Though I have not watched The Hobbit but tour guides gave all the key information and I never felt that I have not seen the movie... The Green Dragon Inn is a part of Hobbition Movie Set. Don't miss the ginger beer if you are a non alcoholic person like me.

If you are going to do a Shire tour, I cannot recommend the evening banquet tour enough. The food and the experience is absolutely amazing, and while expensive I do not feel like they skipped out on service at all. The Green Dragon Inn is a good size and very welcoming pub. The drinks are fine, but you're not there for a delicious selection of beers. The food for the banquet tour was unending and all quite tasty. Staff was attentive and in terms of an experience, I would say it is well worth a visit!

Great feast at the end of a great tour of Hobbiton. Worth the extra money to do the evening tour and end it with this dinner.

Go, go and do the tour, lose yourself and have a few beers on the way out. Don't miss the views from the inn back to the bus, either.

Soooooo beautiful. I wasnt a huge fan of the movies ( only watched them once) but the hobbiton tour and set up is so well done and is stunning. My favourite was the Green Dragon Good ciders, cost fire place and really makes you feel like you're in a movie!

Great place friendly staff, Hobbiton where Hobbit and Lord of the rings were filmed. Drank some lovely English stout.

Enjoy the Hobbits drinks in a scenographic place. You can sit and eat a hobbit dish watching Bilbo's house on the hill.

Hobbiton buffet was great value with an awesome selection. Sitting by the fire in Hobbiton enjoying the atmosphere was a dream come true. Absolutely loved it.

The ending to a really good tour at Hobbiton! I didn't expect the mug of draught at the Green Dragon Inn, but really enjoyed it!

The included stout and cider from the tour is really nice and the design is lovely. If you're a fan of the books or the films you will love having a drink and a meat pie here. If you are not you can enjoy the place as it is so cosy.

Food is delicious, highly recommend the mouse trap.

The "must visit" place if you ever visit Auckland !

Very nice representation of the "Hobbit" venue from the movies. A must for Tolkien fans.

Definitely recommend doing the Evening Banquet Tour of Hobbiton!! You're the last tour of the day so you aren't rushed through the set, and you get to enjoy an amazing dinner at the Green Dragon. This was the second time I've done the dinner tour, and I enjoyed it just as much as my first experience!! Seems expensive on first glance but I really think the Banquet Tour is worth the extra money.

Very good food and drink in a very pleasant atmosphere, with all the details very well maintained.

Obviously, this is amazing. They've got it decorated exactly like the movie, down to every little detail. It's worth every second of your time.
