We have walked past this place a few times, so really glad we didn't walk past this time. Great proper pub, great beer. We will not walk past so often in future.
Nice and relaxed local pub, ideal for after work hours.
Amazing range of beers. Lager, wine etc. also covered. Food first class, local and fresh. Plenty space between tables, food first class. Proper English pub.
Super pub, friendly staff and lots of different beers
Fantastic range of beets and very friendly staff lovely pub
Friendly traditional pub with a large section of real ales.
Fantastic meal tonight. Never had such a great burger and the biggest onions rings I've ever seen. Dog friendly too so we could all enjoy.
Quiet when we were There, of course it was only 4pm. Barmaid very friendly and knowledgeable of the ales on offer. I had a lovely Vodka & tonic and husband a bitter as they don't have Guinness. A proper pub.
Very good beer selection, especially ale. Very nice beer garden and atmosphere
Fabulous place. Covid safe. Great food. The landlords, Natalie and Ben are very welcoming. Would definitely go back.
Traditional pub lively ambiance eith local characters and good selection of gluten free food
Been once for lunch, my wine glass wasn't clean, could still see the printed lips fron the previous user, food was ok but being the 3 of us my burger arrived a good 5 minutes before the others so by the time I waited all of us to be served it was a bit cold, we received a can with the cutlery for the 3 of us but only one napkin in it...music was too sad and quiet with a lot of moments with no music at all, that and the fact that the place wasn't too busy made the atmosphere a bit sad, the decor is really nice tho, nothing pretentious but not even extremely rustic, maybe I won't cone back for lunch but I will deffo give it another try for a night out and a few pints.
A real pub in the centre of Bournemouth 11 real ales on tap. Has plenty of atmosphere. Friendly customers and good service.
We had a great 'pub grub' style dinner, all good quality and reasonable prices. Fab selection of real ales. Very dog-friendly too. Highly recommended.
Nice traditional pub
Wish we had a pub like this where I live in Banstead
Staff friendly, food outstanding and dog friendly too
Good knowledgeable service. Wide range of beers. Good atmosphere with a reasonable price for beer..
Great beer, good food... What's not to like? Probably the best pub in the town centre.
I was on holiday and visited I was pleased I went in if I lived there is think I would make it a regular place all age groups seem to be in there TV to watch football
This pub was so nice and friendly .good service with a smile
Always good, excellent range of proper beers, great food and friendly staff. Love it!
Traditional pub very welcoming staff lots of different beers
Wadworths house with userly 11 cask ales. A mix of Wadworths beers and guests.
Very lovely pub. Nice Traditional pub lunch food and and a very fair price, all topped off by amazing service. The Brie bites are a MUST!
This is a very cosy, proper old school pub. Great selection of ales, good pub food, and a good quiz on a Sunday. A hidden gem amongst all the chain pubs in the area.
A character pub, with decent beer and friendly atmosphere. What more can you ask for when all the others in Bournemouth feel like "pub in a box" corporate clones.
Fantastic, really friendly and great food! Definitely going back!!
very quaint pub with stunning interior and beer garden. Staff very polite and so friendly! Made our time in Bournemouth very special . Would highly recommend this pub .
If you want to remember how use to look pubs in the past
Excellent service, superb food and ambience and above all dog friendly ?- best sunday roast dinner in a long time
Real old fashioned pub with up to a dozen traditional beers, with tasters available, pulled by hand & good quality, plentiful meals. If you're going to eat, don't forget your appetite
Great real ale pub serving 6+ handpull beers, including the core Wadworth beer range. Plenty of seating areas, at least one dartboard, and a covered outside area provide plenty of choice. Serves a classic pub menu of snacks and classic meals.
Beer selection great and very cosy. Staff really friendly.
Wonderful atmosphere. Very relaxed and superb, friendly service. Not trendy, just perfect place to chill out: old style!
Great pub just outside the town loads of choice with beer lager and cider pool table not fantastic but with the amount of people using it you can see why.
Friendly pub with nice vibe just off the beaten track
Good food, nice friendly atmosphere, and I'm told they have good ales too. Pool table if that's your thing as well.
Friendly, cosy yet spacious real ale pub with good beer garden/smoking area.
I spent a contented few hours here during a visit to Bournemouth sampling the excellent range of well kept ales. If you enjoy real beer, The Goat is well worth a visit.
This is easily the best real ale pub in Bournemouth. Great selection, always top condition. This place is out of the way, buy also relatively small. Mid week pint, the goat is a no brainer.
Ben was lovely, very welcoming and accommodating. Nicely priced all round and a brilliant atmosphere. Will definitely be returning soon.
A great find near centre of Bournemouth. Well worth seeking out. Great choice of drinks and interesting outdoor space !
What a fantastic selection of ales. Friendly staff.
Love the goat curry! Also the child free atmosphere. Traditional decor. Great selection of ale!
Good selection of ales. Have not eaten lately, but had great meals in the past. Very large garden for smoking. It's also partially covered. Very traditional British pub, still has a meat raffle on Saturday nights.
Rude staff
Won t be back
Go to the Hop inn instead
Great selection of beers along with a pool table and table tennis
A great selection of real ales and a very nice courtyard.
Good quality pub grub at a price that doesn't break the bank. If you are expecting fine dining then this is not your place, but it is a great place to go for a real ale and some hearty pub food after work
Love this pub we always come here when we are in Bournemouth great atmosphere and excellent beers and real ales
Treated like a buffoon for asking how big their nachos were. Rude staff and won't be going back.
Beer too pricey and no personality will not go again
Lovely pub! Lovely food and people and a cosy atmosphere
Great pub, lively atmosphere and wide ranging choice of beers
Always a good selection of beer and friendly service. I just wish that there would be fewer people there on a Friday night so that I can get a seat a bit quicker.
Very nice comfortable pub. Great garden area. Nice staff.
Long standing local pub with a good selection of ales and friendly staff.
