Great atmosphere and helpful staff.
Lovely young barmaid who was very helpful. Made wrong choice with the fish sharing platter which was very disappointing but other meals were very nice
Omg this place is so lovely. We brought little penny along and they gave her a tour of the show and left over roast. They made us all as comfortable as poss to give us the best experience possible. A right laugh of people behind the bar and the food is so good. Comfort food at its max! A down to earth experience.
Food was excellent. Wide choice of real ales. Couldn't fault it
nice pub they like Dogs comfortable pub nice and friendly
Looked really nice, but no children under the age of 18.. And was asked to leave.. Doh
Must have picked a wrong night for food as I couldn't cut the pastry on my pie and whatever the "orange" coloured vegetable was tasted of nothing.
Lovely old pub serving great food. Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. We had the Nut Roast & Chicken Sunday Roasts which were plentiful and delicious with plenty of fresh vegetables, rich gravy & the essential yorkshire puddings!
Proper traditional pub!
Excellent choice of real ales and good menu with lots of choice.
The meat pie is amazing and you won't get better chips..
Friendly place with a good selection of beer (mainly Wadworths) pub nice pub grub
Went for dinner on Saturday night. Didn't have a booking but staff were really accommodating and got us a lovely table straightaway. The food was absolutely delicious! Home made and so fresh and huge portions. Service was excellent. Plus ten real ales!
Good food , friendly staff and great cider and beer choice.
Great range of real ales. Lovely pub. Thoroughly enjoyed visit there.
Hidden away relatively traditional pub. Good choice of beer.
Second visit to this lovely friendly pub. Relaxing beer garden/court yard with a continental feel. Very friendly staff
Nice little boozer went of a date with the dog. ( Fanny )
Excellent atmosphere, polite staff good food and drink
The food was really nice! It's a local pub serving great food.
Nice pub, very clean...not much to choose from, from th menue though
Friendly but overpriced. The Four Horsemen has a far wider craft orientated drinks list at much more reasonable prices. On the plus side - it has a half decent pool table.
A proper pub with great ales and quality food, nice outside area too.
Real ale heaven in bournemouth. Just visit and see what a old fashioned ale house you have been missing. Best secret pub in bournemouth.
Sad faced dull barman. Unwelcoming attitude. Made to feel not wanted and i was so looking forward to a meal there.Place empty. Ordered nachos to share and got.the smallest plate with no effort put into the ingredients for topping. Just a small portion of nachos sprinkled on a plate. When i complained and asked if he knew the plate was for 2 for sharing?. He smugly said yes SHALL I BRING TWO FORKS. Never went back and will never go back. Definitely not recommended. Found a much better place in the area.
Sat on my own at the bar minding my own business. Some guy starts shouting if I have a problem with him. Said no and what is he going on about and why he thinks that. Got thrown out. Definitely a place if your face doesn t fit. Been here a few times with friends without problems in the past until now. Will avoid from now on.
What a lovely pub. Very welcoming and friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Very clean. Excellent choice of ales. Disappointed I didn't have enough time for a 2nd visit but if I go to Bournemouth again I will definitely be paying a visit again.
Great selection of beers, generally very well kept. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Not eaten there so can't comment on food. But worth a trip for the beer alone.
Awesome traditional pub in the town centre - not many around it seems
Great for Christmas party, bit of an older crowd. Food was delicious! Proper pub food
Great Sunday Roast! Very good pub and atmosphere, friendly staff and nice real ale choice
What a great little pub. Sadly only had a quick beer here but rest assured next time I visit Bournemouth I will give the menu ago too.
Great pub in an area where it is hard to find a decent one!
Great pub the selection of beers and largers exceeds most and along with its on offer games entertainment make it a well worth while stop.
Great beer, terrible parking, get a taxi, well worth it.
Looked promising but had to leave. No under 18s.... Anywhere
Loads of great ales, good pies and atmosphere. One of the best pubs in the area.
Excellent beer choice and varied food offerings plus free WiFi and a Sunday evening quiz. Super pub.
Great food lovely people and service, the only thing that let's it down is no children allowed. This could be a Wonderful place to take family if they could only get the license. But still a must try if ur in Bournemouth.
A quirky, olde-worldy pub with a cheerful, friendly atmosphere, a lovely courtyard, great food and a community art studio in the Attic!
Shame could not try it out, due to Children policy.. really wanted some fish and chips...
What an amazing lunch! Great food, staff and service. So nice to catch up with family and not feeling rushed!
Great little hidden gem! Lovely staff, lovely food and a great atmosphere!
Good ale pub without being stuffy and old. Good mix of ages.
Great ale and one of the few proper pubs in Bournemouth
Friendly staff nice drinks decent enough atmosphere
What a discovery for a real ale fan visiting Bournemouth for the Barbershop Convention. 10 real ales; tried the Tiger and Bishop's Tipple. Both very good. Would have sampled the food but too busy singing.
Great food great selection of beers and ales and have a friendly team working there
Tried this pub whilst on a short break. Great range of beers and homely, friendly atmosphere. Food was good and a decent menu plus specials. The goat curry was described as medium hot although my palate said mild. Nice it was dog friendly too and full of interesting decor. Definitely return when on the area.
Nice and cosy. Staff very friendly and dog friendly.
Me my husband and my doggy Pablo decided to visit the goat and was amazed to see the great value for money and also staff are very friendly and helpful as Pablo needed water also the food was fresh and hot I recommend the chilli it was amazing and my husband recommends the monster hot dog and burger he's a lil piggy very happy with the service and the fact doggies and puppies are welcome well done guys holly , petar and Pablo
Typical pub, not one of those designer yuppie places.
Great old pub large amount of beer choices. Really worth a visit
