Real ale is a speciality with a fine selection from Wadworths and others.

Omg this place is so lovely. We brought little penny along and they gave her a tour of the show and left over roast. They made us all as comfortable as poss to give us the best experience possible. A right laugh of people behind the bar and the food is so good. Comfort food at its max! A down to earth experience.

Lovely old pub serving great food. Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. We had the Nut Roast & Chicken Sunday Roasts which were plentiful and delicious with plenty of fresh vegetables, rich gravy & the essential yorkshire puddings!

Went for dinner on Saturday night. Didn't have a booking but staff were really accommodating and got us a lovely table straightaway. The food was absolutely delicious! Home made and so fresh and huge portions. Service was excellent. Plus ten real ales!

Sad faced dull barman. Unwelcoming attitude. Made to feel not wanted and i was so looking forward to a meal there.Place empty. Ordered nachos to share and got.the smallest plate with no effort put into the ingredients for topping. Just a small portion of nachos sprinkled on a plate. When i complained and asked if he knew the plate was for 2 for sharing?. He smugly said yes SHALL I BRING TWO FORKS. Never went back and will never go back. Definitely not recommended. Found a much better place in the area.

Sat on my own at the bar minding my own business. Some guy starts shouting if I have a problem with him. Said no and what is he going on about and why he thinks that. Got thrown out. Definitely a place if your face doesn t fit. Been here a few times with friends without problems in the past until now. Will avoid from now on.

What a lovely pub. Very welcoming and friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Very clean. Excellent choice of ales. Disappointed I didn't have enough time for a 2nd visit but if I go to Bournemouth again I will definitely be paying a visit again.

Great food lovely people and service, the only thing that let's it down is no children allowed. This could be a Wonderful place to take family if they could only get the license. But still a must try if ur in Bournemouth.

What a discovery for a real ale fan visiting Bournemouth for the Barbershop Convention. 10 real ales; tried the Tiger and Bishop's Tipple. Both very good. Would have sampled the food but too busy singing.

Tried this pub whilst on a short break. Great range of beers and homely, friendly atmosphere. Food was good and a decent menu plus specials. The goat curry was described as medium hot although my palate said mild. Nice it was dog friendly too and full of interesting decor. Definitely return when on the area.

A gem
