Fantastic experience on the tour. Very educational...
Fantastic experience on the tour. Very educational with a touch of history and a tasting at the end. Highly recommended.

Visited years ago and still have very fond memories of it. We took the Grand tour, and it turned out to be one of the few open on Sunday. Learned a lot!
Extremely interesting tourist destination! It would be nice to see how the amber fluid was created!
Loved our visit highly recommended. The tour guide ( Lorna) was full of information and answered any questions with professionalism and getting to sample 4 different malts was a fantastic ending to our tour
booked in for the bar and had a lovely time sampling whiskies, as there weren't many people in the bartender was able to give us a lot of information on the whisky we were drinking and almost turned it into a mini tasting experience. Gift shop had a few options in it but unfortunately no more Red Wine Cask!
Great tour fantastic aroma and a wee tiple at the end fantastic well worth a visit
Had an amazing Haggis lunch in the restaurant and bought some souvenirs in the gift shop, did not take a tour since we just took Balvenie s tour.
Party starts now
No slurring please here at Glenfiddich Distillery
Absolutely my favorite whisky
Glenfiddich has in our opinion the best distillery tour. Very well trained staff, small film in several languages, allowed photography (rare), warehouse inspection (rare), barrel nosing (rare), good guidance through the core of the distillery
A guided tour with tasting, all in different languages, definitely worth a visit. And the factory outlet is not bad either. ;-)
Staff are amazing and that is the 1 star, please don't advertise a "restaurant" as it is far from it, there is more choice and better quality from a butty van on the A9. The shop was nice and the usual expensive prices.
Good place to visit. Guided tour lasts for one and half hour where you can know about the distillation process.
Beautiful distillery grounds and very friendly staff!
There were two of us and we were very lucky that a tour should start. We took the cheapest tour, which is enough. You get an overview of the distillery, the production of whiskey and the story of Glenfiddich.
At the end with tasting of the three whiskeys.
I found it great, I can recommend it to everyone.
Great tour of beautiful distillery, well worth visiting and tasting proper single malt, since our visit this is our favourite whisky
Home to one of the most beautiful distillery in Scotland in my humble opinion. Also home to one of the most relaxed tour there is. Most distilleries don't allow any pictures during most of the tour, glenfiddich allowed us to take pictures almost everywhere. Our tour guide was very friendly, but she was kind of new, so she couldn't answer a lot of our questions, but it wasn't a big deal. At the end of the tour we were offered 3 different whiskies to sample. Overall, we had a great experience and we would love to go back again in the future!
I'll context this review of the tour to say it was done whilst the distillery was on a two week shut-down and so was only a limited tour consisting of a video, a quick look around Warehouse No. 1 and then a tasting of three drams. This is one of the few independent distillers in Scotland yet for some reason the feel of the tour (probably due to the size of Grant's empire) felt very corporate. They can cater fo pretty much any nationality by employing people from different countries as guides but, for me, this loses a bit of the 'Scottishness' about the experience.
Incredible place. Loved the tour.
Tried the Haggis at the restaurant and I must say, it was delicious. The sauce was very tasty and the dish was dressed up nicely.
Biggest Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery.
Our tour guide wasn't so knowledgeable, however still definitely something worth seeing, they are extremely big and as a result they are one of the only distilleries (maybe even the only distillery) that do their own bottling which can be seen on the tour.
For those driving - they have a driver's gift to take home instead of tasters.
The distillery is quite nice and picturesque, and our tour guide (Noni) was very friendly and gave a really good tour.
There were two very major problems with our visit. The first problem was that we had a tour booked for 3pm. An accident on the road meant that two of our cars were running late, arriving at 3:10. The desk staff were really rude and threatening our tour to be voided. When our remaining guests arrived, we were very curtly told "well you don't get to watch the video now". Just rude, for circumstances beyond our control - if you've travelled the local roads you'll understand there's not much that can be done if one is closed down.
We took the Spirit of Innovation tour. Guide was fine, but tasting very poor. Measures were very small, but really poor was no option for drivers at all. All other distilleries offer to put the whiskies in small bottles to take away and try later, but not here. One guy had had to buy bottles elsewhere while I emptied a plastic water bottle to make a blend......
This is frankly astonishing for such an established tour.....!
Expensive too for what you get.
Huge distillery with enormous output - not so tasty compared to most other Scottish whiskeys. However, tours are good
Best distillery tour!! It was about 3 hours long with a group of 5 people. Great tour guide and very informative. You can see the real actions on the site and have a tasting session. You can also blend your own 15 yrs whiskey at the end of the tour.
This place is great. the tour and movie were great. the shop is a little pricey but its Glenfiddich so its going to cost.
Just loved this place. The tour is really worth it even if you have been to other whisky distilleries before.
We booked the 90 minute Explorer Tour directly on site and were very impressed. If you are there, you should definitely take a look at it. The distillery is definitely worth a visit.
Called at the distillery on 11th January 19, was sold 2 experiment whiskies the project XX and fire&cane. I was told they were only available at the distillery however found them for sale on the Internet at a lower value. This is utterly disappointing as you expect the best value of a product where it is actually produced taking out transport and other extra fees added when purchased from retailers.
Beautiful distillery! This place far exceeded my expectations. Everything seemed so organized and the staff was extremely friendly. The whiskey tasting was great and the servers were very helpful. I walked away a big fan of Glenfiddich whiskey.
the facility is great and the tour was very enjoyable. the tasting at the end was not great. felt a bit rushed up. but well worth the visit
Very good visit, neither too long nor too short, thanks to our guide for giving some explanation in French although we were in a group of English speakers.
Too bad there was not a multilingual guide flyer.
Great place to visit if you like whiskey. Interesting tour.
We had such a great time at the Whisky Lounge, Sarah and Chris were fantastic!
The roaring fire and lavish interior really add to the tasting experience, tried 5 whiskies and loved the Innovation collection. It s great to see the distillery still offering great activities for tourists considering COVID-19 restrictions. Would definitely recommend!
Highly interesting, competent tour, including the tasting of 3 types of whiskey, only the water that is provided is chlorinated, which does not indicate a fine tongue
It was a pretty cool and informative tour. We learned a lot about the whiskey making process. And most importanrly, we had a little taste of three different bottles in the end of it.
Very interesting tour with welcoming and helpful staff worth it!
I d probably rate the explorer tour higher, but having been on another tour at a smaller scale distillery the day before, the one at glenfiddich was quite disappointing. They treat you like the 100 or so people they must meet everyday and file you through the process. Little attempt is made to make you feel like they care about your efforts to visit them.
Also the distillery is going through some maintenance. As a result, 30 minutes of the tour was not given. Since we prepaid, what ve to sort out the refund online. They simply couldn t offer it in house.
Customer service overall is pretty low. Only go if you don t mind large group tours and be shuttled around like cattle. Distilleries are more of less the same, go to smaller ones that make more of an effort.
Great personalized tour through the distillery and warehouses. Tours avaliable also in other languages. Great whiskey tasting at the end.
The visit costs 10 pounds and really deserves. How to make whiskey from A to Z.
Unfortunately 2 star deduction for the "assembly line" tours, one is led by young guides fast through the Distillery. When the tours were free, it did not bother us that much. Much, much better is a tour at Balvenie (but you have to book in advance).
Great tour on a bank Holiday weekend. Went on Easter Sunday. Tours were booked out until the last one at 4. The waiting around was aided by their lovely bar and nice lunch. Had the pulled spiced beef that was lovely.
Tour was entertaining and thorough. Really enjoyed the generous 4 tastings provided at the end of the tour.
About an hour and 40min long. Some people missed out on tour that arrived later so I would advise booking ahead.
Great tour that is very informative and all questions are answered. The visitor center and the bar are modern
Really really great food in a cozy restaurant. Lots of vegetarian options!
Nice tour with a wonderful scent experience from the barrels in the warehouse no?
Spacious car park and the tour guide was quite knowledgeable. Glenfiddich is the best distillery for to visit amongst all other distilleries.
Interesting tour, followed by a tasting. Recommended.
Our first Scottish distillery visit and the best so far (after 5 visits in total). The Glenfiddich distillery is localised in the Speyside region where you will find a large distillery concentration.
We booked the explorer tour which gives you a detailed tour of the place with a 4 whisky tasting. We were really lucky to have a very passionate guide who gave us an amazing overview of the work at Glenfiddich. With the explorer tour you even will access their warehouse and smell some amazing whiskies from the casks.
If you feel hungry after the tasting, I recommend to stop at their restaurant where they serve good simple dishes to enjoy next to the fire place.
If you want to discover more about whisky in Speyside, check the Single malt whisky trail to find out more about the different visits you can make in the area (but Glenfiddich is not included in the trail)
Heyho to all future visitors.
Positive things first. The premises, the shop and the toilets. Very clean, very nice from the ambience, you could sit down and enjoy wonderful. There is nothing more to say about the positive.
Negatives ... at the beginning you watch a film that lasts almost 20 minutes. Unfortunately, you sit for 20 minutes in a room that is extremely hypothermic. The group size was much too large with 20 participants, so that a harmonious tour was not possible. In addition, the tour was planned for 90 minutes. Despite 20 minutes of film, we were through after almost 60 minutes. As a result, you can imagine how we are rushed through the rooms. At the end of the tour you are of course looking forward to a nice tasting. You get 3 samples, in which not even a glass was filled with 2cl ... The driver set gave us the rest. In every other still, the driver received one bottle per sample for refilling and later enjoying these delicacies. At Glenfiddich you get a small bottle of the famous whiskey and you can't try the rest!
With that in mind, I hope you're luckier
It is a major distillery, but the tour is also solid
There are plenty of shops where you can sample and buy
If you come over here, be sure to check it out! Great tours.
Great visitor attraction. Wonderful staff. Restaurant. Toilets.
Do yourself a favor and do the pioneer tour - bookings are essential so make sure you get in early. The tour blew my mind and included bottling your own cask strength bottle. Our guild Gregor was extremely helpful and full of information - can t recommend enough!!
Despite the high number of visitors Glenfiddich is absolutely worth the visit. At the bar, there are always a few special drops to taste
Free tour, great to see the biggest distillery of Scotland
It is worth stopping on the route to visit it without hesitation
The classic tour is very basic, not very interesting if we already know a little about whiskey (and really incomplete if it is not the case ...). An ode to the revered Founding Father.
That said, everything is very well organized and we are shown what can be shown without disturbing the work, I suppose. Perhaps the Explorers and Pioneers towers are more complete.
A good note however for the coffee shop that serves excellent small dishes salty and sweet.
The distillery itself is a beautiful facility. However, our experience was sadly disappointing. When we booked our tour online, there was a misunderstanding (quick for the representative to point that out) but when we arrived at the facility for the last tour, we were not told that we were paying for a "shutdown" tour. In other words, a virtual tour where you sit in a room watching the distilling process, which you can imagine was underwhelming, as I traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to see the copper stills. Instead, I saw them on a projector screen. We only entered a storage room with Barrels aging from the early 90's and were not allowed to take photos, and we got a glimpse of the bottling room that was not in operation. By the time the virtual tour and tasting was done (1.5 hours later), even the restaurant and gift shop were closed. Didn't even have a chance to try a dram of something unique. I cant speak for the other reviewers that state they had a great time, but I highly recommend against the "shutdown tour" if your a whisky/scotch person; it will disappoint.
So glad I got an opportunity to stop by and take a tour at Glenfiddich. While we waited for the tour to begin, we visited the shop. It was so hard not to buy one of everything. The tour was a wonderful experience and the staff running the tours were a delight. Absolute pleasure to have visited here. Do not miss this place if you are travelling in the area.
Visited Glenfiddich as our first Distillery tour in Dufftown. We did the pioneers tour and our guide (James) was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a wealth of information which assisted us with future tours of other distilleries.
This is a beautiful distillery set in a beatiful location. I only had time for the short tour with the tasting and it was a very good experience. I also ate at the distillery cafe. Food and service was very good. If you are in the area and like Scotch whiskies, this is a great place to visit and tour.
My wife and I enjoyed the tour in late July, 2014. The young lady who served as the tour guide was energetic and informative. The tour is free and one comes away with an appreciation of what it takes to make the product. You are shown all the production steps while touring the actual distillery. The views of the equipment are up close and the accompanying odors and air temperatures complete the experience. I highly recommend stopping in Dufftown to see this remarkable facility. Well worth the several hours.
Large modern distillery. Used to give free tours, but now they charge.
They told us the tour was full when we called, however when we stopped by the gift shop we found out they weren't full. They also neglected to tell us they weren't in production on the day of our tour.
The tour itself was very bland. Had a much better experience in another distillery.
Here you can, for example, after an exciting, informative and stimulating by tasting tour of the distillery to take the noble whiskey for home; I could only take a quick look, because our Scotland tour continued with the Echle bus. There are also smaller gift packs when the suitcase is already full. Because you can not take that into the plane. Whiskey is more expensive here than here, but that is due to the higher taxation and also depends on where you buy it here with us
After the tour you have the necessary knowledge to appreciate the fine wines and to taste the memory of Scotland at home in the glass! My sketch shows the Glenfiddich-Stammhaus and the follow-up buildings with photos.
Very professional visit for a very good price.
They make sure they speak slowly for foreigners. A mini film is available in many different languages at the start of the visit. It lasts 1h30 and we see everything from the beginning of the process to the bottling. There is a whisky taste at the end, but you can also buy one at the bar and even eat as there is a restaurant.
It is definitely a place to go when you go to the Highlands! We really enjoyed ourselves, I recommend!
Well worth taking the tour. And the tasting session at the end!
A good whiskey, a company that stands up for the quality of their products and committed employees who help you with problems.
Many thanks to Michael from the Quality Team!
Great place. Cant wait for it to open again but the Malt Barn needs to open as well.
Absolutely great distillery! Attended the Spirit of Innovation Tour at 2. Great experience. Our guide was charming, funny and explained everything very well. The tasting afterwards was great. The shop has the standard items that you would expect from a distillery, but also a few fancier things for the extra-large purse.
If you are touring Scotland then you must call in past the Glenfiddich Distillery and take a tour of this family owned distillery. From the moment you arrive you are made very welcome by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. First you will see a short film before starting your tour around the distillery which is quite extensive and very interesting. Then at the end of the tour you have a generous tasting of three of the malt whiskies 10, 12, 18 years, truly fantastic. We had a fantastic time, so thanks to Glenfiddich Distillery.
I do not like whiskey and I still loved the visit and the final tasting.
Loved the tour. Our tour guide was an informative yet funny lady. Would give 5 stars but there was another male tour guide in spectacles that was rather rude and unhelpful. Other than that the place and tour was lovely.
The visit is interesting. You have to go to some distillery. They also invite you to taste 3 whiskeys, yes, the cheapest they have. However, they are much better than those we usually take in Spain.
Awesome tour, and a great experience. The innovation tour had the best tastings, we had i think the 12, fire and cane, project xx, 15 and amazing 21. One tip for drivers is to perhaps purchase a zetol kit from a different distillery first, such as one nearby in the village of glenlivet. Also make sure you make reservations. Go pros are allowed in most areas as well.
The most iconic distillery in the world with the most famous single malt whiskey that you can find all around the world, the place is amazing with the tour in all the areas of the distillery, you can understand everything from production to the bottles and tastes of their variety, if you love single malt this is a must visit place for you
Great tour with really hilarious marketing video - practically propaganda- but still enjoyable. Tasty food at the lunch cafe.
If you are going to do 1 distillery make it this one! Also has a great restaurant
