Great be distillery with a very nice visitor center. The visit to the distillery is worth a detour because you learn a lot there, at the time, there was no guide in French so if need be ... get into English laughs ...

We booked the explorer tour at the Glenfiddich Distillery and the experience was awesome. The explorer tour allows you to visit the whole distillery including 2 of their warehouses. Gail was an excellent guide and offered us great inside on the distillation process as well as the blending system. We finished with a tasting of 4 of their whisky from the 12 to the 21 years old.
The visit is well worth its 10 pounds per person!

The Glenfiddich distillery is a fantastic place! The grounds are beautiful and well set out. I would recommend the second tier tour, a lot of great information about the history and science behind the distillery, and the tasting and bottling experience is not to be missed. Our tour guide Gregor was awesome, very knowledgeable and passionate about the craft and business. 10/10!

The visit of the Glenfiddich Distillery was worthwhile. During a very interesting tour, we learned a lot about the production of Scottish whiskey. It was interesting to us that the whiskey produced for Scotland itself has a slightly lower alcohol percentage than that for Germany. That is probably due to appropriate laws.

As well as learning all about whisky and how it is made, it is set in stunning countryside miles from civilisation.

I visited in December of 2017. Our tour guide, Laura, gave an amazing tour. She was very knowledgeable about the the site and the process. Easily the best tour of anyplace I've ever been. We tasted 4 drinks afterwards, all of which were amazing.

Took the explorer's tour as it was the only tour available during the new year's holiday period. Honestly, I felt overwhelmed with information in explorer's tour itself and I can't even imagine what else is there to know in the other extended tours! It was worth the time and price for me.

Great place, friendly restaurant. Surprise the guide: when they offer to taste the whiskey, do not drink. Put it in the palm of your hand, rub it with your hands and, with your hands clasped, inhale the aroma. The guide will be very surprised and set you apart from the gray mass of other alcoholics =)

A beautiful distillery immaculately maintained. I arrived early and had a coffee in the restaurant while I waited for my tour to begin. I took the soleara deconstructed tour the tour guide was very experienced, I tasted and nosed a selection of whiskies and finally I was able to make a version if my own whiskey to bring home with me. The highlite for me was seeing a cask being degorged the aroma was fantastic. I'd highly recommend making a day of the distillery visit I took in Glenfiddich in the morning and Balvenie in the evening. The hospitality I received was second to none and there is a beautiful distillery shop with a large range of whiskies and merchandise to purchase. Personalisation of bottles is available as are distillery exclusive.

We came to visit the Glenfiddich Distillery while we were toruing the Highlands and chose to take part in a guided tour. The Explorers Tour started with a short film about the founding of Glenfiddich and the family ownership. Afterwards, we took an on-foot tour of the distillery and were able to see the different steps of whisky making. Our tour guide Amy was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered each question during the tour. At the end of the tour, we were served three different drams of Glenfiddich (12, 15 and 18 y.o.). Unfortunately, we were not able to keep a tasting glass as a souvenir. In contrast to other distilleries, Glenfiddich appears to be very industrialized and less artisanal, but it was still impressive to visit this distillery and to take a tour.

Friendly tour, learned some new things, good tasting including a few different ages and some of the experimental releases. For drivers they offered an airplane size bottle of the 12yr instead of the tasting.

The tour is the most complete of the distillery I have visited. There is Japanese commentary. At the end of the tour, we will have a comparative tasting of Glenfiddick. Moreover, all tours and tastings are free!
The shop always has a distillery limited Valinci.

This is your first choice if you want to visit a distillery.

The "explore" tour was informative, and our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. Our initial group of about 30 was split into three smaller groups for more individual attention (and because one of the subgroups had its tour in French).

We really enjoyed the 90 min tour. The young lady was lovely but we struggled to hear and understand the explanation as the machinery masked her voice. Maybe if she spoke through a microphone and we had listened , we via headphones could have understood more.

A nice distillery to visit for sure. They open at 9:30 but the gift shop opens at 10:30 which i think is a mistake. We were there 9:20 walking around taking photos, and by 10:30 we were already on our way to Macallan, so....

Superb distillery located in Dufftown, capital of Whiskey!
We did the 1.5 hour tour, lots of explanations, very nice.
Tasting of 4 Whiskey at the end.
Children are accepted unlike other distilleries.
Plus, you can leave with your own bottle of Whiskey that you yourself bottled at the Glenfiddich boutique ... a 15 year old, great!
To do absolutely!

Great distillery, with a rich history. Because it is so popular make sure you book the tour on time. We had to wait for two hours which was spended walking around in the area (you can visit a castle, Balvenie, nearby). After that we had a bite to eat at Glenfiddich as they have a restaurant / cafe on their property. The food is actually very good. After that we got the tour. We were a little disappointed because it was a bank holiday so there was not a lot of activity. Also we were in a group with Indians who wouldn't shut up during the tour and didn't listen to the guide. The guide did her best, but wasn't very knowledgeable as it was her first week on the job and she had no history with the distillery.

We visited the distillery on Sunday 20 August, at the last entrance of 15.30. The visit can be done only guided and costs 7.50 pounds for adults. Elsewhere I read 10. Maybe because being Sunday they told us that one part was closed. About twenty people entered and they made us watch a 5-10 minute movie, listenable with headphones also in Italian. After that they divided us into 2 groups of 8-9 people and each group followed a girl who made us go around the factory and explained the production (in English). At the end of the tour he took us to taste 4 different types of whiskey. The whole thing lasted about an hour

Surprisingly family atmosphere. Guided tour was free incl. 3 different tastings. Unfortunately, none of the guides was available to hold the tour in German (though advertised extra). Glenfiddich shop extravagant, but too expensive. I better buy at home.

What a place! What history! If any one, I would recommend a tour of this Distillery on Speyside. 90 min. With a sampling of 4 whiskies for 10 bucks. The guides are to good, and the opportunity to go through the entire whisky making process including standing inside the store house with decades old barrels of whisky was once-in-a-lifetime!

4 of us Went on the last tour on a Friday. tour Guide was ok just going through the motions. Went to the shop to claim our free bottles Glenfiddich explore that you get for joining the distillery and doing the tour 3 of us had email trouble with the distillery prior to going which we explained to the store manager He did not care and it showed. Only 2out of the 4 come home with the free bottles. After phoning up the distillery when we got home the manger said he would post the bottles to us .4 weeks later after another phone call the lady that answered the phone was very helpful and remember us from the tour sent us the two bottles. There are other distilleries to visit that are much better.

A tour of the distillery followed by a tasting is almost a must for every whiskey fan! But I think the distillery is completely overrun by tourists and then the tour is structured!
It is positive that you can get your own tour in German, for example!

But I would still recommend the slightly more expensive Balvanie distillery!

An informative and interesting tour finishing off with four lovely whiskeys to try. Hard luck on any drivers but maybe take some little bottles to pour your drams into to try later. The shop has whiskeys, flasks, glasses, scarves, gloves etc. for sale and there is a restaurant on site too.

Although we couldn't get a tour because of covid we still had a great time. Been planning a trip up to visit for a while with friends and had a brilliant day. All the staff were so friendly and the gift shop was fantastic. Definitely planning to visit again when things open up more and highly looking forward to a tour.
