Attended a birthday party held here. Excellent atmosphere with the decor, lighting and band. Karaoke was also fun though a tad loud at times. Food was well prepared but took a bit too long for my tastes.

I went to Gladstone to meet a friend for dinner. It was a good experience and the food was great. The downside was that it was very busy and took a long time to get service, but was worth it in the end.

Everything about the art show (Urban Wild) was perfect. The place is enchanting and unique; the only part of the experience that was slightly off was getting food. I stood at the entrance, made eye contact with several employees and had to take initiative, grab one of them and ask if I should just seat myself. The food was good though.

Found this amazing hotel last year and stumbled upon their December event, The Twelve Beers of Christmas. Came back to the hotel again this year for the event. Love the hotel. Rooms are small and bathrooms are tight, but it is still an amazing place to stay. The rooms are all unique and beautiful. The gallery art on the different floors is also fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is an old hotel made over to be trendy, with artist designed rooms, ever-changing artwork in the hallways, a thriving night club and people in the hallways drinking, talking, and looking at art, well into the night. Unfortunately, this scene does not mix with sleeping! Our bed was bouncing in time with the music. Even ear plugs could not drown out the beat of the music, and the drunk people just outside our door. And one last thing, if you walk into your hotel room and see they have provided you with ear plugs, that is not a good sign. If there is a line with a bouncer to get into your hotel, that is not a good sign. This hotel should choose whether it wants to be a night club or a hotel. It is not working as both.

Karaoke Review: Only criticism is: the competition is too good. Wish there were a secondary stage and a private room option for groups of 10+, because the stage took too long to wait for and the audience was captive, in the case of bad singers or misogyny etc. Could work on song selection to increase crowd diversity

Stayed one night last weekend at the Gladstone in room 402-Echame Flores. The room was beautiful- more so than I expected. Service was amazing, friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Monica for keeping my library book safe after I left it behind. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the cafe and spent a fun night in the Melody Lounge. We can't wait to spend other night here in the Twilight or Biker room.

The Gladstone is a fantastic bar, great food, great staff. I was there for karaoke with a live band recently, and the band denied my friend a song because they didn't think he could pull it off. Five stars for that alone.

I had the funniest room here. I was staring at these weird naked bodies running around a beautiful tapestry of bacchus and there were really good affordable snacks

Even the shampoo was really nice and biodegradable

A Celebration of Diversity.......and the Arts!

A Celebration of Diversity.......and the Arts!

We held a small training event over a three day period at the Gladstone. The staff was helpful attentive and accommodating at every turn. Cannot say enough about there approach to service and their authentic approach.

We are a enterprising social purposed NGO so supporting a B Corp was also appealing to us....merging purpose with profit......who doesn t love that! The hotel developer and president Christina Ziedler, also delivered an impromptu presentation at our request on her B Corp Hotel and the social purpose at the core of her work.

Feedback from the attendees of the training was exceedingly positive. In fact, on the feedback forms for the training we received a number that mentioned the excellent choice of venue - as one of the key factors in the success of the event! We done!

Our thanks to Christina and her entire team.....we will spread the word....and plan on returning!

Thank you!

Ahhh the Gladstone, I will start by saying I will ...

Ahhh the Gladstone, I will start by saying I will never stay here again. I stayed last Friday night I was working a trade show at the Ex, i will list the Pro's and Cons of my experience.
Pro's:
Beautiful room, Friendly staff, The old school elevator was very cool, the Samsung tablet in the room was also a nice touch.
Con's:
Parking! I called them at 9:30 at night because i could not find their lot, the reception told me that i had to book a spot (didn't say that anywhere on the site) and that i needed to park in the "Green P" down the road becasue their lot was full... Fine its a 2 min walk no biggie... the lots was full, after about 20 min of driving to all the different "Green P's" in the area i finally found an empty spot about a 15 min walk away. This wasn't much of a problem for me because all i had was one change of cloths but anyone with a suit case would of had a tough time.
I was on the 3rd floor of the Gladstone and while my room was beautiful it had ZERO sound proofing i heard the conversations on the street, I heard EVERY car drive by every horn beep.... Needless to say I didn't sleep very well.

Now I know the problems i had cannot really be fixed by the owner without spending hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars so i cant blame them for leaving them this way and I'm guessing if i wasn't staying there for business and didn't have to work the next morning i would of enjoyed my stay more, that being said i won't be giving them another shot.

TL-DR: Parking and sound proofing is an issue, Room was beautiful and well thought out. Would not stay again.

Friendly customer service at front desk. Hotel is full of history. Old time elevators. Nice bar in hotel where you can have a drink in the evening. There for a social event and place was very lively full of interesting people. Did not have a chance to sleep over, but I would definitely attend this hotel again for social events.

This affordable and unique boutique hotel in the very trendy Queen West neighborhood was the perfect home base for my last trip to Toronto. It's located near a streetcar stop and is close enough to the downtown area without having to stay downtown. Each room features a custom design from a local artist but pay attention when you book because some of the standard rooms have queen-sized and others have full-sized beds (same price). In addition to the second floor gallery, there's also a cafe that serves tasty breakfast staples and local coffee.

Every room is designed by a different Toronto artist, and each one is uniquely beautiful. Welcoming, polite, and attentive staff both for the hotel and bar/ballroom. Always fun events going on here.

Had lunch at Gladstone's and decided to go vegan for a meal; the "Plu-burger" with no fries and instead collard type greens was awesome one of those burgers that says it's so good don't care there is no meat... although greens were a tat salty to my accompanying mother, I think it was fine as it's seasoned not sauced (healthier)

While we didn't stay at The Gladstone Hotel our group of 14 on a bachelorette weekend in Toronto happened upon the hotel while looking for a place to eat and were warmly greeted by the staff in the cafe of The Gladstone for dinner and drinks. It was incredibly difficult making a reservation for our size group in Toronto's more well known restaurants, and most often we were told we'd need to book a private event with a food and beverage minimum for our size. When we walked into the cafe we immediately fell in love with the ambiance, warmth, and music and the staff was so accommodating with getting us seated in an open section. Erica was our primary server and handled the service flawlessly from wine service to custom cocktails, appetizers, and through dinner. The menu was perfect for a variety of dietary needs and preferences. Many of us have worked in the service industry and were just so thankful for the hospitality and ease of service as walk-in guests. Thanks again!

I went here for dinner and ordered wings, steak frites, and chicken tacos. The chicken tacos were pretty good, and the chicken had good flavor. The steak only was seasoned with salt and pepper but was still decent. The chicken wings were really small and didn't really have that much flavor. The waiter was really good though.
