I really love the rooms, the ambiance, and the neighborhood.
Came here for drinks and live music on a Saturday and stayed for the karaoke. Had a blast.
Historic building with a great ambiance. Love the decor and the stocked bar.
This place is pretty yum. Great drink selection. Pretty numerous beers. Karaoke is hilarious and fun as fun.
Girlfriend birthday breakfast. Attentive service although a little slow at times. That may be because of the distance from the dining area to the kitchen. Breakfast with the lamb sausage very flavourful and just enough food to feel satisfied rather than stuffed.
Fun places to go there's something always going on. Drink prices are going through the roof though. Glass of wine is over 10$ same with a draft of cider and most beers... Hipsters win...
I love the restaurant here. They have great vegan options at brunch, lunch and dinner which appeal to omnivores too.
I went in to walk through the halls, look at the art all along on every floor before taking the one of a kind elevator down to the main floor and deciding to have a quick drink. After looking through the menu I got a Loose Lips Lager and a plate of warm cheese on bread with honey & black walnuts and confit duck wings with Peking sauce. Both were beyond my already high expectations. I'll be back again.
A really funky boutique hotel. Each room has a different decor.
Good service and the ballroom was a cool old look to it.
Service was mediocre and ended before the show we were at was over.
Delish Brunch! Was v surprised to see I could still get eggs at like 3:00 PM. The black and blue iced tea was so strangely tasty. From what I hear, there's great social events throughout the week.
Great historic Hotel, beautiful unique rooms, nice bar with great drinks and good food
Attended the Dead Poets, thoroughly enjoyed the show and venue
It's downtown so everything is paid parking. Inside is nice, access to 2 bars. Overall nice hotel
They never have enough staff and it takes forever to get served. Even when you have to go to the bar yourself. Pity as they have good themed nights.
Great, friendly crowd and staff. Was there for a show in the ballroom and then karaoke in the main bar. Staff in both locations were great.
The building is nice, the drinks were affordable, and the appetizers they served at our event were really good. The music was a bit too loud though. Also we had some vegetarians/vegans at our event and the staff was not very well informed about whether any of the food they were serving was ok for them to eat. They wrongly told one of our vegetarian attendees that the pizza was vegetarian, when it very clearly had chicken on it. Overall though, it was a really great place. Would definitely go back.
The food was really great. Kind of a typical decor for a hipster bar, like with the hanging single lightbulbs. Super bougie atmosphere.
Come for the hotel, stay for the artfully designed rooms! (And brunch!)
Cool hotel with artist designed, unique rooms and wonderful, eclectic neighbourhood.
Love this place!! I'd stay again in a heartbeat. Staff went out of their way and had great recommendations. The duo playing in the lounge were excellent and the food was good.
Super cute vintage hotel with fun art instalations and a hand-operated elevator
I was there for my friend's birthday party and we did karaoke. It was so much fun!
My friend and I happened upon the Gladstone while looking for somewhere to eat. The restaurant/bar was a little on the busy side though our server was attentive and somehow knew just when we needed something. The menu options are few but, from the offerings we chose, they are imaginative and satisfying. The cauliflower burger is great even if you're not a vegan. My friend's pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and there was plenty of it.
Went here for drinks and Cardioke - excellent service, really great waitstaff.
Went for a Friday night event. Nice space, fast service at the bar, good music. A great space to go with friends for a night out. A bit crowded so it wasn't the best dance space but overall a really enjoyable place to go.
Try the tension lift cocktail. It s got apple ad it s delicious and you re welcome in advance.
The location is amazing, it's right on the corner of Queen and Gladstone. There is so much new and trendy places to shop and dine along Queen St West.
I had drinks at the Melody bar. It was quirky and fun.
Great old hotel. Friendly staff goid food. We attended my nieces wedding and they did a great job.
Nice establishment with a nice bar and event space. Went for a comedy night and it was a lot of fun!
Went to attend the grow op event and pleased to see the variety of art work produced by talented artists
Went to the Gladstone for Night of 1000 Dollys. Super crowded for Pride, but service at the bar was good. If you need cash, there's an ATM in the lobby just behind reception, but there's also an RBC across the street.
The original art hotel - weird community events and farm to table dining. If shopping is more your speed check out their flea market with local business.
Attended a wedding here over the weekend and everything was fantastic!
Service was poor, rude, and slow. Food was awful, not at all worth the prices. Tasted like microwaved food for 20 bucks, bread was stale, and hard as rocks. Poor seating, and poor seating arrangement. Music was so loud, couldn't even hear the people next to me.
Went for colouring night was pretty awesome would go again
Overpriced. Pretentious. But it's quiet enough at the bar to have a conversation so there is that
This was a marvelous place for a wedding. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The ambiance was super. The dinner for a little more than a hundred guests was very well handled. All the guests at a table got their food at the same time. The salmon and beef dishes were appreciated by all the guests.
I went to the hotel to attend a photography exhibit. The building is old and charming, and its commitment to providing a space for Toronto artists is laudable. Conveniently located at a Queen streetcar stop, the Gladstone is easy to get to, which is always a plus for a public space - or a hotel.
It's a really good locale, but the beers do not expensive.
The cafe is fantastic. Excellent food and amazing coffee, and was surprisingly not too busy on a Saturday for brunch.
Unique hotel in a good location with parking across the street!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed looking at the art throughout the building! I will definitely come visit again!
Great spot to have a drink alone, with a friend or larger group.
Great vibe at the bar. Good drinks, great entertainment usually
Came for the Lego night. Fun decor, good food. They may have messed up our drink order though.
After there for karaoke, the sound was good, and we got drinks fast
Went out with my lady for a Saturday afternoon brunch. Very interesting menu with some unique twists. The Breakfast Sammies are something I have not had outside my mom s house. It was nice to see someone other than myself that uses puto as a bun to make a sandwich.
Went to an interesting art exhibit here. The interior of the hotel is really nice
Very good bistro type card in a beautiful place. Exhibitions and a trendy clientele.
Absolutely fabulous; Toronto s oldest continuously-run hotel is a must-visit. It s a well-known feature of this hotel that each room is entirely individual; each one designed by a different artist or designer. I stayed in two rooms: #315 More
This is my favourite hotel in the world. Toronto is all about diversity and this place does it with class and style. Queer-friendly shows and events, a beautiful ballroom, and a breakfast to dream about after you re back home. They even do art and culture right! It s truly a world class gem of a place.
Great food. Always kept clean. Knowledgeable staff.
Great bar with a chilled vibe and amazing food too!
Great service, very original location, it looks like a cultural center
Limited food menu but it's delicious and there are vegan options. Service was delightful!!
Had a great experience watching the Dead Poets show. Great venue that showed a welcome attitude to a variety of acts, shows and overall vibes.
